《Music In My Heart - Dreamwastaken》Dinner?

"I can't believe AJ was a girl this entire time." George said.
Nick and I had been on call with him and Alex for the past hour trying to explain the situation to them. It somehow sounded more ridiculous when we said it out loud than it actually was.
"Why didn't you ever correct us when we called her a guy?" He continued.
"I don't know. I thought you'd clown me if you knew I lived with a girl. Or worse, try to talk to her." Nick explained. It was quiet while everyone considered his word.
"So what does the AJ stand for?" Alex asked.
"Her name is Anja but it's spelled A N J A cause it's german so when I was young I came up with AJ."
"Hmm. So... have y'all had... SEX yet!?" Alex yelled the last part causing George to burst into laughter at his dumb boldness.
"Ew! No! What the hell is wrong with you? That's literally disgusting. Why the hell was that your first thought?" His voice kept cracking from anger.
"Dude... I was just joking." Alex cautioned.
"Don't joke like that about her. Whatever I'm fucking leaving to stream." He quickly exited the call leaving us in silence.
"What was that?" George finally spoke.
"They've been best friends since they were kids so it probably made him uncomfortable. He's also a little protective over her so..." I answered.
"Oh shit. I didn't know that." Alex sounded guilty.
"Nah it's fine. I didn't know about any of it either until last night. He found me talking to Anja in her room and he fucking grabbed to pull me out. Sat me down to 'have a talk' as he called it. Basically, just tell me to not mess with her and shit like that."

"Damn. I kinda feel bad now" Alex mumbled.
"Yeh. Well, I'm gonna hop on stream with him cause I know fans are dying to hear from us so..." I said.
"Wait Dream!" George blurted out. "Can I have her Twitter or something?"
"What?" I laughed. "I don't have it."
"Whatever I'll find it on my own."
"Don't be a weirdo. Anyways, bye." I left.

I knocked on Nick's bedroom door as he was putting on his shoes. "Hey, Nick what do you want for dinner?" I asked.
"Hey yeah. I'm actually about to head out. I need to go pick up my car." He said.
"Need me to drive you?"
"Nah, I'm ordering an Uber and I'll probably grab dinner while I'm out so go ask AJ what she wants." He walked past me out of his room and I followed him into the living room. He was clearly still pissed off by what Quackity said earlier and needed time to himself.
"Where are you going, Nick?" Anja asked. She was sitting on the couch with her laptop.
"To get my car. I'll be back in a hopefully like an hour or two and we can watch something when I get back if you want." He responded while he fixed his hat in the mirror.
"Ok! See you later!" She yelled happily as he walked out the door leaving just me and her in the house.
I walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge to see what I had to eat. It was basically empty. Fuck I need mom to go shopping.
"Hey, You wanna order dinner?" I asked Anja as I walked back into the living room. She didn't respond. "Anja?" I walked over to stand behind her on the couch. She was sitting with her feet curled next to her. She was in a large pullover that laid on her thighs covering her shorts.

She looks cute. I smiled. God, I'm a creep sometimes.
She was on some type of music program and had big headphones on that prevented her from hearing me. I decided to tap her shoulder to get her attention. She jumped to move away and turned to me. She pulled off her headphones with a confused face. She was breathing fast.
"Uh... was just wondering if you were hungry cause I can get us food." I smiled at her.
"Oh yeah." She relaxed. I felt bad for scaring her. She turned herself completely so she was resting on her knees and holding the back of the couch. "Um... what were you thinking? I'm down for whatever."
"There's a Mexican restaurant in the area that I can pick up from." I suggested.
"Ok. Texanas fajitas if they have it please."
"No way that's what I get." I said. She just stared at me. It got awkward fast. "Well... I was thinking you could come with me to pick it up... since you haven't really seen the city yet?"
She looked behind her to her laptop then back to me. "Sure I guess."
"Ok." I nodded my head while we just stared at each other.
"Do you want to leave now?" She asked.
"Yes." I noticed I said it a little too enthusiastically but I walked for the door before it could get any more awkward.
She closed her laptop and hopped up to put on her shoes. I held the door open for her to the garage then hopped in the front seat.
"Oh, I forgot my wallet." She said quickly turning to walk back inside.
"No Anja, it's fine. I'll pay for dinner."
She turned around with a small smile that I caught before she switched it back to straight. "Thanks." She said as she oozed into the passenger seat.
"It's no problem. I'm happy to spend it on a pretty girl." I turned to smirk at her before I began backing out of the garage.
"Do you always act like a creep?"
"It's one of my many talents." I said.
She scoffed at me. "I can tell." We made eye contact but she quickly looked away. Why does she always do that?
"So what was with the music stuff on your computer?" I asked.
"I make music."
"Really? Like, write or produce?"
"Write, compose, produce, sing." She said confidently.
"Wow and I claimed to be talented." I teased and she giggled. "You should play me your stuff sometime."
"I'd loved to." I looked to see her smiling while playing with the hem of her shirt in her lap.
"I've actually been thinking about making music."
"Don't you play Minecraft for a living or something?" She joked.
"Haha. So funny." I said in a sarcastic monotone.
"I'm just kidding." She turned to me and pulled her legs up so she could sit on them. She seems more comfortable now. "If you ever need advice or assistance, I'd be more than happy to help." She was still smiling, now looking directly at me. It made me flustered.
"Uh... yeh. I'll definitely take you up on that. And we're here by the way."

A loving spouse. A healer. How does this person cope with evil villains willing to destroy everything? They convicted the victim... now how does the victim goes on with life as a healer? As the book opens, I was in a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt in December 2019. What starts as a simple conversation with another patient changed my life. Most of the rest of the book tells the reader how I got to this point. I experienced profound injustice between 2004 and 2006. By opening with a story about suicide, I want the reader to understand that the injustice was not just something that happened long ago. This book is an account of all the accomplishments and successes that I had in overcoming tremendous odds and challenges. Growing up, I was paralyzed by shyness and lacked social skills, and so the idea of becoming a psychotherapist never occurred to me when I went off to college. I learned that I could overcome those limitations. I wanted to bring that hope and healing to others. Activities like that make life meaningful and bring me joy. The reasons why I was suicidal in 2019 were set in motion in 2000 when a meteor would come crashing down upon the life that I had built leaving me powerless to do anything other than watching everything burn to ashes - the home that I had, the life I had known, the love I had, my career, everything would disappear almost as if it never existed. In that one the year 2000, I could not imagine things could get any worse. But the nightmare would continue for the next few years... culminating in a suicide attempt in 2019. Now, I am connecting with others, building relationships, and finding a reason to live again. I am writing my own story of my life. I will fight against the injustice of the past and offer my gifts to the world. I have so much to offer. I have quite a story to tell. I hope you will help me to move on with my life.
