《In Five Years》Chapter 21

I find myself waking up to darkness. Maddie's backside is against me completely naked, my arm draped around her waist. Picking my head up slightly, I squint my eyes at the alarm clock and realize that it's three in the morning. Maddie's skin is so smooth, and her body fits against mine like the final piece to a puzzle.
Kissing her shoulder, I run my hands up her stomach and then grasp onto one of her breasts. It's warm and full in my hand, and I find myself grow hard against her.
You'd think after four rounds that I'd be done, or exhausted, but I'm not in the slightest. It's been way too long since I've had her all to myself. Since I've been inside of her. I want to make love to her again and again.
"Maddie." I whisper hoarsely into her ear. She stirs slightly in her sleep, but still doesn't wake.
Moving my hands down past her stomach, I rub my hand between her thighs and feel her behind back up more against my erection. She's definitely awake now.
"Mmm." She hums, wiggling her behind against me again.
"Can we go again?" I whisper into her ear. "Please?"
She nods silently, so I move her onto her back and roll on top of her. My lips find hers in the dark, and nothing honestly feels better. Her hands come up to grab onto my curls, tugging to somehow get out her aggression.
Slipping inside of her is so easy since she's already wet, and I let out a moan as she hisses from the pain. I know she has to be sore. I've completely ran her through tonight.
"I love you so much." I breathe against her lips, and I don't know if it's because it's so early in the morning, or if it's because I'm so tired, but I find myself pouring my heart out to her. "Please don't leave me baby. Never again. You're everything to me."
"I promise." She sighs from how good it's feeling. "I'm not going anywhere, Cam. I'm yours. I've always been yours."
Her words are turning me on more than I thought they would. I pick up my speed inside of her, placing wet and sloppy kisses all down her neck until I work my way back up and bite gently onto her earlobe.
"Mine." I growl lowly, thrusting deeper and quicker each and every time our hips meet. "All mine, Maddie."

I'm so close to release, so close to finding satisfaction until we hear the front door close downstairs. I immediately freeze inside of her, holding my breath as we both glance at the door to her bedroom.
"It's three in the morning." Maddie furrows her eyebrows together after she looks at the clock. "Did Ethan sneak out or something?"
"Uh, I'm not sure." I say. I'm rock hard still, but confusion is still written across Maddie's face. I can tell she's not going to let this go until she investigates to see what's going on, so I roll off of her and watch as she stands up to find her pajama pants from earlier.
"You're going out there?" I ask.
"Um, yes? I just want to see who it is. If it's Ethan I'm going to use this for future blackmail."
I don't think her parents would care anymore since they're letting me stay the night for crying out loud, but I don't tell Maddie this. Instead I climb out of bed and find Ethan's sweatpants that he let me borrow earlier.
"What are you doing?" She whispers. "I'll be fine."
I roll my eyes. "If someone broke into your house I'm not going to let you go out there alone. Are you crazy?"
"Oh my god. Nobody broke in." Maddie laughs. "You're insane. It's probably just Ethan. Come on."
She grabs onto my hand but I quickly step in front of her and open her door quietly. We don't hear anything coming from the hallway, so we tip toe to the top of the stairs and glance over the banister.
Maddie's father is in the kitchen looking through the fridge for a late night snack it seems like. He's wearing a dress shirt with a tie that's been undone, his hair going every which way. Richard never has stayed up late like this. He's always loved his sleep from what I can remember.
Maddie pulls me back down the hallway until we're safely in her room again. "How disappointing." She sighs. "Just my dad."
"But why is he coming in at three in the morning?" I ask.
"Ethan said he's been working late." She shrugs. "I guess they're short staffed at the office."
Maddie seems to believe it, but I sure as hell don't. Her father is an insurance agent. Why would he need to be working until three in the morning for that? Not to mention coming home all disheveled.

I don't want to worry her, so rather than press her further on the issue I push her back down onto the bed instead and slip the sweatpants off once more.
"Can we continue then?" I murmur against her lips.
She nods and takes off her pajama pants. She's still wet, so it doesn't take much for me to slip back inside of her. The bed is creaking, and I can't help but think about Maddie's dad being right downstairs.
"It's fine." Maddie kisses my neck, her tongue drawing circles into my skin. "He can't hear anything."
Picking up my speed once more, I let out a sharp breath from how good she's feeling. There isn't an ounce of me that wants to leave her. I don't want to go back to school. I want to stay here with her, but that's why we ended things to begin with. I knew I would think this way, and back then I wouldn't have been mature enough to know that staying at Penn state would be the best thing for me. I would have moved back here for her. I know it.
But now she's mine again. She's underneath me completely naked four years later, and I can't help but think that this is fate. We're meant to be together, and no matter what happens when I go back to school I know that we'll always find each other again.
"Cam." Maddie pants and lets out the tiniest of moans when she finds her release for the sixth time tonight, the wetness overpowering me completely. I only last two more thrusts inside of her before I pull out and release myself onto her stomach.
I'm panting from how good she felt, ignoring how tired and sore my body is. Tonight was worth it. We'll probably go another round before I leave in a few hours. The more I can get of her the better.
"I missed you." She laughs as she stares up at the ceiling. "Like a lot."
I crawl over her to grab a used towel from her laundry basket and wipe up my remains off of her body. "Trust me, I missed you too." I admit. "More than you'll ever know, Mads."
The lack of sleep is finally hitting me, so I fall back down onto the bed beside her and close my eyes. For the first time in a long time I feel genuinely happy, like nothing in the entire world could possibly go wrong.
"You think we'll be able to do this long distance?" She whispers, and I can't help but wonder if she's thinking the same thing.
Pulling her into my chest, I kiss her forehead and nuzzle into her neck. "We don't have any other option but to work out." I smile. "Because I can't live without you."
"Oh really?" She giggles and starts to play with my hair. "I'm sure you'd find someone else. You found Katie."
She's hurt. It's evident in her voice. I clutch her tighter and kiss her chest. "I didn't love her, Maddie. I didn't. I never said it to her because I couldn't. It's always been you, and I know it's going to take awhile to prove that to you, but I promise there's never been anyone else that I've had these feelings for."
"What feelings?" she asks. "Love?"
I shake my head. "So much more than that, Mads." Then I start to trail my fingertips up and down her sides. "When I think about marriage, and when I think about standing at the end of an aisle watching my future wife walk towards me, you're the only girl I picture. When I imagine my first child being born, you're the only girl I want sitting in that hospital bed beside me. You've always been the one for me, and that's what I don't think you'll ever understand."
Maddie's hands are still raking through my curls, and I close my eyes from the feeling. I'm starting to think I freaked her out until she says, "a boy or a girl first?"
"Mmm." I smile at the thought. "Boy. I won't be able to handle a little girl at first. She'll capture my heart way too quickly, and I need time to prepare myself for that. Best to start off with a boy."
"As if we'll have a choice." She giggles.
"I have faith in my sperm."
"Cam..." she smacks me on the back of my neck.
"What? I do."
"Okay." She sighs in defeat, and I can tell she's tired too as her breathing becomes shallower, her sentences shorter. "Just so you know, you've always been the one for me too, Cam."

Blood Demon's Retirement
Civil War had raged on the Al-Shan Archipelago for the past four decades, only recently coming to an end with the enthronement of the new Emperor. This is not his story. The Blood Demon, renowned general of said civil war, was tired of all the fighting and politicking that had described the last four decades of her existence. All she really wanted to do now is to go out into the world and see the many lands from her father's stories. Thus she retired, and went and did exactly what she wanted. This is the story of what happens when you toss a (retired) war machine with somewhat lacking common sense into an unsuspecting world at peace. Chapters will range from 1-2.5k words, scheduled for release every day from Monday to Friday. First time posting a story on Royal Road here, hoping you folks will enjoy. Expect: -slow going slice of life with occassional faster paced action -world building -detailed anecdotes on the world, its races, the magic system, and whatnot every now and then Do not expect: -romance, other than maybe some passing mentions -politics, again, barring passing mentions Any comments, reviews, and criticism will be much appreciated. And thank you for reading. ---------------------------- Disclaimer: This story is my original work and only posted on the Royal Road and Scribblehub websites.
