《Soulmate Bonded: Jungkook xReader (feat. Namjoon)》(Chapter 35) Who I used to be
Advertisement
Soulmates,
Before who you are now, ?
Sidenote:
It's been brought to my attention that some stories are popping up with similar ideas to mine.
I'm not upset about it... because I think while ideas are important, stories are about the writing itself too.
You (lovely readers) deserve the best writing, and that means healthy competition between writers.
However, that being said,. My story was inspired by someone else and I mention this in my story description. We're all writers; let's share our inspirations and give credit

Jungkook's dark eyes fly open.
He's silent as he sees his soulmate.
She's framed by sunlight from the window.
He doesn't breathe.
Her hair is slightly tousled from sleep,
and he remembers how she collapsed on his chest,
as they both passed out,
how he had wrapped an arm around her
and it had felt right.
She looks back at him,
and there's some emotion that flits across his face,
it almost looks like sadness
but that wouldn't make any sense.
She shakes it off.
Jungkook straightens his arm
to let her go
Maybe to let her go forever.
He had wanted to be the one to cross the barrier between them.
But if he couldn't make her happy,
Then maybe Sejin was right.
She deserved to be with a man who made her happy.
A man better than Jungkook.
He looks over her face,
and she's got a bit of a blush
and she looks pretty
albeit a little flustered.
He remembers a time when they first met
and he thought she wasn't anything gorgeous.
But now,
He must have been so blind.
Driver hyung clears his throat.
When Jungkook looks at him,
the man points down
and Jungkook follows his gaze
to realize his own shirt had been lifted in his sleep,
riding high under his chest
exposing all of his stomach and abs
which explains why his soulmate was determinedly looking away,
pink on her cheeks.
He pulls the fabric back down,
and reaches for her.
Tries one more time
because he can't just give up like this.
"I... I'm sorry but... we need to talk.
We Healed.
So can we talk now?"

He brushes the back of his fingers against her forearm.
She nods.
Jungkook exhales.
"The thing is...
I mess up every time I try to..."
Bring us closer.
Say it.
Say it Jeon Jungkook.
But he's been so bad at feelings
at talking about his feelings,
he's been bad at it his whole life,
and he just can't get the words out.
And he's thinking
This is it
This is how you lose her
Because you can't even talk.
He tries to say something else.
Something else he could get past his lips.
"Obviously I've never had a soulmate before.
I don't know how it works.
"
It's not enough,
he knows it's not enough.
He knows he needs to say something about his .
But the words are stuck in his throat.
But then
everything changed.
Everything changed because she
turns her wrists,
wraps her fingers around his
and brings his hand to her face.
Closing her eyes, and leaning into his palm.
The golden buzz tingles against her cheek.
Against his palm.
Jungkook's eyes widen.
She whispers,
"It's alright."
And Jungkook doesn't understand.
He can't believe her.
She smiles gently at him.
"It's alright, you don't have to say it.
What you said was enough.
Thank you for the apology. I forgive you."
And the golden light ebbs into Jungkook
as she strokes his hand.
And for the first time in his life,
someone had excused Jungkook from saying things
he just couldn't say.
Someone had seen through his inability to express himself.
And accepted him,
and reached out to him
past his chasm of broken words
and told him...
it was okay.
That they would feel his words
even if unspoken.
Jungkook bows his head,
in gratitude,
in relief,
in remorse,
utterly overtaken by his emotions,
but mostly so his tears could fall without marking his cheeks.
Because Jeon Jungkook was still, incapable of being anything but strong.
He was made of spine.
And she knew.
She wraps her hands behind his head, and hugs his head to her shoulder.
"Shh, it's alright," she coos.
His face in her shoulder,
Even without the bond.
She is his soulmate.

The first aid noona shakes her head, grinning in amazement.
"If you were hurt, you certainly aren't now."
Jungkook looks pointedly toward you, with a small smile on his lips.
And you smile in relief.
He was okay.
Taehyung is hanging halfway over the back of a sofa chair,
his back curved strangely,
and holding a piece of chocolate he had been about to eat.
"Jungkookie punched a car window?" he gasps in awe.
Namjoon sighs.
"You're crazy, Jungkook."
A manager behind him nods in agreement.
Taehyung rolls over and throws himself sideways,
landing next to you.
"And you healed his hand? How did it look?"
"It was very swollen, and definitely bruised around his knuckles," you answer honestly.
They were all correct.
Your soulmate is crazy.
Taehyung brings his face right up against yours.
Way too close for personal space,
but normal for Kim Taehyung space.
"You could heal that? You're magical!"
His boxy smile lights up just inches from your face.
He reaches over to finger a strand of your hair,
placing it over your upper lip to give you a mustache,
the timeless Kim Taehyung game he seemed to never get tired of.
You swat his hand away.
Jungkook's eyes flick upward.
"Um, it's just a soulmate thing.
It's not me," you answer Tae,
and you point at the chocolate in his hand.
Forgotten, it was melting and sliding down this fingers, leaving a muddy trail.
Taehyung laughs.
He pops it into his mouth, licking his fingers clean,
looking for all the world like a handsome puppy.
He uses the same hand to ruffle your hair.
"Ew!" You smack his hand away.
He chortles, delighted, and headlocks you in his arm,
pinning you down as he rubbed his hand all over your head.
"Stop, stop! Kim Taehyung you are so gross!"
You can't believe that after all these years,
he's still the same,
and you grip his arm, trying to get free.
And you're worrying because in the mess of your hair flying everywhere
you see a glimpse
of Jungkook's drawn eyebrows.
And his eyes had darkened
and Taehyung,
had the audacity to sneak his fingers
around to your waist
and tickle you
as he giggles
"I'm not gross! Say I'm not gross!"
And you're shaking your head,
trying to shoot him side glances toward Jungkook,
But Tae isn't looking.
He presses his forehead against yours,
so he's a little cross-eyed,
grinning,
and suddenly
your vision begins to glow red,
and it's too late.
"Let of her," Jungkook snarls.
You push at Taehyung's arms, trying to squirm away from him,
eager to stay on your fragile good terms with Jungkook.
Taehyung, on the other hand, just grins his boxy grin and says,
"Jungkookie, don't be so sensitive! We are just playing."
"She's not having fun," Jungkook says.
He stands and walks over,
looks down at you,
half intertwined with Taehyung,
and his eyes narrow.
Your heart leaps into your mouth.
He was going to argue with you again, wasn't he?
He was going to push Taehyung again, wasn't he?
Despite everything you've been through,
it was always one step forward and two steps back.
Jungkook lifts his arm...
you can feel the fear pounding in your chest,
and he reaches his hand out toward you.
His hand
open,
waiting.
You're surprised,
and you stare at his hand.
Unsure what he means.
Jungkook blinks...
and then he curves a small,
uncertain,
hopeful
smile
onto the corner of his mouth.
"C'mon," he says.
And his smile wavers,
like he's afraid.
You return his smile instantly.
Touched to the heart by his gesture.
You put your hand in his.
Jungkook pulls you to your feet,
out of Taehyung's arms,
and into his own.
This time,
he knows exactly what he's doing,
he's fully himself,
no bond to blame.
He hears the inhales from his members,
he feels the tension in the room.
Jungkook lowers his head,
smiles briefly at his soulmate
in front of a room full of people
the people closest to him
and he is okay with this,
as he leans down gently
and softly
brushes his lips against hers.

"Kilian Vergio." I whisper his name, almost frightened to say it. The fire flickers as I stare at the summoning spell- would this come to bite me in the ass later on? Maybe. I take a deep breath and run my eyes along the spell one more time before saying it out loud. As soon as the words are out of my mouth, the fire goes out. I feel a cool breeze caress my shoulders and I shiver. Had I done it? Had I summoned him? The fire lights back up- but this time, there's another person in the room with me. "Oh fuck." I curse, the reality spreading of what I had actually done slapping me in the face. He's leaning on the fireplace, red eyes connect with mine as he gives me a wicked smirk. He takes a step forward as my heart sinks, dread piling up in my stomach, and also- butterflies? His fangs gleam in the fire light as he eyes me down. "Happy anniversary, sweetheart." His voice smooth like silk rings out. I go pale. •• Viola is tired of wondering her entire life what it would have been like if she'd been raised by her mother- so she strikes up a deal with Kilian; a demon so powerful, so deadly, and so beautiful. She has no idea what she's getting herself into. Especially when her dad goes missing the next day. She has to solely rely on herself, her new acquaintanceship with a wicked force such as him, and a family that she's never known in order to find him and complete the prophecy.
