Hey you adorables.
Check outand!
Speed walking down the hallway, you can't help the tiny smile that comes to your face.
You last saw Jungkook 7 hours ago, before his concert, and you couldn't wait to ask him how it went.
A manager had texted you letting you know that they were all back at Bighit post-concert, winding down in the lounge, and that Jungkook was tired and needed healing.
You felt faint for healing too, and if you were honest, you were also a bit excited to see him all dolled up from his concert.
You had healed together earlier, before he left for the venue, and he was happy and looking forward to his new setlist.
You agreed he'd tell you all about it when he got back.
You see the hustle and bustle of stylists and personnel up ahead in the lounge, and your heart speeds up.
You see the familiar figure of Mira, her hair up in a cute ponytail as she sits down...
Your eyes search for Jungkook as you clear the hallway...
Just in time to see Mira lean sideways...
Your mind blanks.
You inhale sharply.
You blink twice, just to make sure it wasn't some kind of mistake.
To make sure you were seeing this right.
It's happening again.
Your vision turns scarlet, your hands begin to shake.
You growl toward Mira.
The people near you turn to look at you, and with their awkward muttering and shuffling, Jungkook and Mira look up and see you too.
Jungkook's eyes widen as he sees your expression.
"Wait, it's not what it looked like," Mira immediately steps away from Jungkook.
She walks forward and puts her hand on your arm.
"Just listen. Jungkook was really upset. He made a mistake on stage, and-"
"," you seethe, cutting her off.
You pull your arm out of her hand.
You trusted her when she said she wanted to be your friend, but here she was, kissing him...
You spin to get away from her, but the force of your body turning as hard as you could... ends up your shoulder into her.
It is an accident.
An apology leaps out of your mouth the instant you feel your shoulder hit her.
"I'm sorr-"
But it's drowned out by her surprised "" as she's knocked back.
She's torn off balance.
She falls, landing on her hip.
You see her right ankle bend and twist violently over her high heel as she sprawls onto the floor.
It looks terrible.
""
Jungkook's hoarse voice explodes from him.
He jumps up from his chair and drops to his knees beside her.
Mira is dazed for a moment, her face scrunched in pain.

She curls into herself.
"I... I'm sorry," you whisper uselessly.
Your legs feel like lead weights.
You're frozen in place by what you've done.
"Noona, where are you hurt?" Jungkook is asking, his eyes scanning her.
"I'm, I'm okay," she pants, her hands already clutching her ankle.
"Let's get her to the first aid room," someone says.
Jungkook glances at her ankle and frowns.
He reaches one arm under her back and the other arm scooping under her knees.
"Put your arms around me," he commands her, his tone leaving no room for debate.
She hesitantly wraps her arms around Jungkook's shoulders as he stands, carrying her with him.
Jungkook doesn't look at you as they brush past.
--
You think you want to follow them.
But you also really don't want to follow them.
Coincidentally, the blue flashes in your vision were back again, and now you sit, limp, in a chair as you try to deal with the aftermath of what you did and how dizzy you feel.
Jimin sighs as he sits down beside you.
"Hey," he says gently.
You look up.
"Hi, Jimin," and you hear your own misery plainly in your voice.
Jimin takes a deep breath.
", because he was tired.
He doesn't get enough Healing these days because you two are awkward... and he was blaming himself.
It affected him during the concert. He walked to the wrong spot and our formation was lopsided.
He also didn't dance as hard as usual because he was feeling weak.
Jungkookie is really professional. This matters a lot to him.
What you saw just now... Mira was telling him that soulmate stuff is hard, and he should give it more time. She told him to be more patient. And work it out with you.
Mira noona... gave him a kiss on the cheek.
I know it maybe looked bad. But that's all.
I know you're jealous when she gets close to Jungkook.
But... she's like a big sister to us.
It's not what you think."
Jimin pats your shoulder.
He stands up and leaves.
Your heart is heavy as you watch him walk away.
Now that Jimin said it...
... it really didn't seem as big of a deal as you felt.
Why did you react like that?
Why didn't you give them a chance to explain?
The bond made you so quick to get angry.
Suga walks by, and gives you one word.
"Go."
You nod and get yourself over to the first aid room, already practising your apology in your head.
As you peer through the open door, you see Mira sitting helplessly on a chair, a large ice pack pressed to her ankle and pain etched across her face.

She looks up and sees you.
"Mira... I didn't mean to, I wasn't trying to hurt you. I swear," you say hoarsely, your voice breaking.
She smiles gently.
"I know. You were just upset."
Jungkook's head is lowered, and he doesn't even glance at you.
"Jimin... Jimin told me what happened. I'm sorry. The bond makes me so crazy," you blink back tears, guilt heavy on your shoulders.
"Hey, it's alright. I know you didn't mean to. Okay? We said we're friends."
Mira answers you kindly.
She reaches a hand out to you.
You slowly walk across the room and sit beside her, putting your hand in hers.
"Look, sweetie, I know things are so complicated right now. But you have got to get a grip on that temper, hey?"
She grins at you.
"Maybe before you accidentally kill me?"
"That's not funny," you moan.
He is still trying to understand what is happening when a clatter of footsteps crowd the door.
"Annonghaseyo!" comes a chorus of voices.
Soobin, Yeonjun, Kai, Taehyun and Beomgyu are just coming up from 75 degree bows as Jungkook looks over.
"Hey guys," Mira waves at them.
Jungkook nods at them.
He clears his throat.
"This is my soulmate," he gestures toward you.
"We already know Noona, she is our friend!" Beomgyu bows at Soulmate.
Heuning Kai pushes past the others, who look comical, all five boys squished into one doorway.
He bounces over to you and grabs your hand.
"Noona, you look sad. Are you OK?"
Jungkook blinks.
They met?
Since when?
Jungkook furrows his brows.
Not that he really thought he knew everything...
But... how would Soulmate have befriended them without his knowing?
And... Huening Kai was ...
Like it was natural, like it was nothing.
And she looked comfortable with it too.
So had it happened before?
Do they hold hands... all the time?
"Aigoo, Mira noona, did you get hurt?" Yeonjun points at her bandages.
Mira shrugs.
"It's no big deal. Are you boys on your way to practice? Don't be late!"
Soobin nods.
"Let's go."
Kai hugs your entire arm quickly, and gives you a bright smile as he leaves.
You try to smile back, but you suspect you just gave him a constipated grimace.
Mira reaches beside her and
Your temper flares again, but you're too stunned to say anything as blue flashes across your eyes and you can't even move for the fear that you might pass out.
What is happening?
You swallow past the nausea.
Mira is shaking Jungkook's hand back and forth.
"Jungkookie," she sighs. "I'm not hurt. It's nothing. I'll be fine in a few days."
Jungkook says nothing. He just looks at the floor.
Mira is shaking his entire arm now.
"I'm fine. You to talk to her. Work things out."
She points to you.
"Please just talk, you two."
Jungkook clears his throat.
He finally looks at you.
"So, when did you meet the TXT guys?"
"A few days ago," you answer, a little confused.
Surely that didn't matter right now?
Wasn't he going to ask you why you were a raging monster?
"You seem close," Jungkook works his jaw.
"At least with Huening Kai."
You shrug.
Was he stalling because he didn't actually want to talk about it?
Fine, you'd have to apologize on your own then.
"Jungkook, I'm sorry about how I acted back there-" you try to ignore the pounding headache and say what you need to.
"" Jungkook cuts you off.
You blink.
What?
You were trying to apologize...
"You always just brush off my questions," he accuses.
"But... But I, I wasn't..." you stammer blankly. "What does it matter? I just, I met them, that's all."
"Why wouldn't it matter? Who you're close to? It doesn't matter?" Jungkook scoffs.
What?
How can he even care about that right now?
Shouldn't he be upset over how you lost control just seeing Mira kiss him on the cheek?
"Jungkook..." you frown.
"I don't know what you mean. I just met Kai the other day."
Jungkook narrows his eyes.
"You just met him... and you're calling him 'Kai'?"
"Well, his name is really long... but, anyway, Jungkook, I...
I just want you to know, that I'm sorry. About... back there. I... I don't know. Sometimes, the bond just makes me...
I'm so sorry, to both of you."
You open your palms toward both Mira and Jungkook.
"Both of you, I'm sorry."
Jungkook blinks.
"What sort of things?"
"What?"
You drop your hands.
Jungkook stands up, slides his hands into his pockets.
"You said the bond makes you feel weird things.
I'm asking you... "
His eyes over you slowly, from your head to your toes.
What...
You open your mouth but nothing comes out.
He tilts his head.
"Tell me."
It's like a smoke bomb went off in your head.
"...I... I don't..."
He starts walking toward you, one step at a time.
He's pinning you down with his gaze, his eyes piercing through you.
You take a step backward, fumbling.
You couldn't handle this right now, him making your head spin as your head was already spinning.
But he doesn't let you go.
He closes in on you.
He almost whispers it.
"Things like... "
