me and austin have just arrived at the filming studio and baz is making his usual morning speech right now.
"hi everyone! as you all know today we are filming the sixty-eight special, and the if i can dream scene." baz says, then looks at austin.
"and austin we are all counting on you for these scenes considering they were some of the most important parts of elvis' life." he continues and austin, who is next to me, nods.
baz claps his hands, "great! so you guys get dressed and ready." he says to me and austin, today i'm just in a few small scenes but i still have to get ready.
i head to my trailer whilst austin heads to his.
i have just finished changing into my orange jumpsuit so now it's time for hair and makeup.
when i sit down in the chair hairdressers and makeup artists come flooding towards me and they immediately start working.
while i wait for everyone to do their thing i chat with one of my favorite hairdressers, tony.
he's a great friend and always makes me laugh even on bad days.
"so tony, how are you and your boyfriend?" i ask, referring to his new lover he mentioned to me a few days ago.
"we are doing great so far! i really like him, and his muscles! jeez he could throw me around if he wanted." tony replies and i laugh.
"has he?" i ask, making my tone all sly sounding.
tony looks down and i can see a blush on his face, "ooouuu tony okay i see you." i say and he just shakes his head with a smile plastered all over his face.
he looks up at me with a smirk.
"how are you and austin?" he asks and i roll my eyes.
"we are good." i brush his question off.

i watch in the mirror as tony leans down towards my ear, "really? because you have a certain glow and if i'm not mistaken i'd think you've had se-" he says and i cut him off right before he can say the word.
"is it that obvious?" i ask, embarrassed.
he playfully slaps my shoulder and a gentle laugh escapes his lips, "not really, i'm just messing with you but you did confirm my theories." tony says.
i begin to whisper, "it was our first time too, well as a couple and all." i say.
i told char this morning when i was getting ready for work but she was still half asleep and i didn't think she was fully processing it because her reaction wasn't as loud as i thought it would be.
tony gasps, "how was it?"
instantly a smile forms on my face and i think he notices it because he smiles too.
"great, perfect, memorable." i say.
"well tell me the details, when? why? how?" he asks, smirking.
it must've been perfect timing because everyone seems to finish their job and i stand up, patting tony's shoulder.
"no can do, i have a movie to be in." i say and he pouts.
"you so owe me." he yells as i exit the trailer.
when i climb down the stairs i almost bump into baz, and he gently grabs my shoulders to help steady me.
"sorry." i say, brushing the hair out of my face.
"it's fine, i was going to go get you and austin to see if you're both done but considering you guys are a couple now, you can go get him." he says and i nod.
"oh okay, thanks." i say and he smiles kindly.
"of course."

i begin to walk towards austin's trailer which is right next to mine, i study the weather and it's a nice calm day.

i'd say it's in the high eighties today but the wind makes it feel like it's in the lows.
the sun isn't out either so in all it's the perfect day to film.
i knock on the trailer door but when no one answers i yell "austin?" while twisting the door knob to open it.
the trailer is empty besides austin who sits on the small couch.
he's looking towards his lap but i notice that he's playing with his fingers, something he only does when he's anxious.
i move to sit next to him, and he finally looks up at me.
i frown when i see his eyes are red and puffy, he's obviously been crying.
immediately my hands cup his cheeks to wipe the tears away.
"austin baby what's wrong?" i ask and he sniffles.
i would say it's the darn cutest thing ever but right now isn't the time.
"it's-just- everyone is counting o-on me to play this scene perfectly and i'm scared because i-i'm not elvis." he finishes.
"oh austin, you don't need to worry, you will play this part beautifully and no one else is made to do this besides you." i whisper and thankfully he nods.
i reach over, pulling him in for a hug where instead his head kind of falls down on my lap, but i don't complain.
i play with his hair for a bit until his sniffles stop and finally i whisper.
"if you can dream it you can do it baby." and even though it's a line from the movie and sounds a little cheesy saying out loud.
he smiles and sits up.
i notice his runny eyeliner and that's something i'll have to fix.
i grab the makeup bag on the table next to him and i search it until i find the eyeliner pencil.
"come here and let me fix that." i say and he scoots over so we are face to face.
my one hand steadies his chin while i use the other thumb to gently pull at his waterline, i apply the eyeliner on both eyes and soon i'm done.
the fake tan and eyeliner makes his eyes pop and i'm here for it.
"you're all good." i say with a small smile and he nods.
"thank you."
"of course. now come on let's go." i say, standing up and taking him with me.
we walk out of the trailer hand in hand as we make our way to the stage.
when we are a few feet away from baz who is standing next to tom hanks talking about their kids, i clear my throat.
baz turns around at the noise and smiles, "great! there's my elvis and cilla!" he says and i laugh.
"here we are." i say, giving austin's hand a little squeeze knowing everything will be okay.
"you guys look great." tom says.
"thanks tommy." i say and he grins.
after meeting him for the first time we've grown closer and tom is almost like a second father figure for me, he's always here when i need acting advice too which comes in handy.
"okay everyone gather towards the cameras, let's go!" baz yells and claps his hands.
i groan at how loud he is, could you believe me when i say it's only eight in the morning and he's already loud?
this man will be the literal death of me.

Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.
