《Love needs Expression (PART ONE) 1970's》Chapter 11

That was 1976. That year when I could have a boyfriend and not feel I had to hide him or be afraid. And it lasted a LONG time. We never gave up on eachother. We kept the faith that made us who we are today--successful artists.

When 1978 Michael got the opportunity to be a part of the african american version of, " The Wizard of Oz," although it was shortened to, " The Wiz."

He looked absolutley great in the movie, I wasnt able to go see him since he was in New York, and my life was full of concerts at that time.

Michael was an outstanding dancer. Which isn't any news, because he had it in him ever since he was little. But there was something about the way he danced, how he picked up every step like it was nothing--I perfectionist individual, he was. In my opinion.

His family telivision show didnt last long because its hurted the Jackson's music sales. Although I did get to be in skits when the show was still running. I thought they were a bit if fun, but I knew that Michael didnt think it was right for his music career.

Then came something I was extremely anxious for--My first tour. Well, I guess not my first tour, cause I toured when I was younger. Lets put it this way--my first ADULT tour.

Only deal was that it would be the longest I've been away from my home.

Michael was the the other situation. All the times I was on tour he wasn't on tour, I was. And all the times He wasn't on tour, I was. Our schedules were like cats and dogs'; they did not work out. I had no idea what he'd be doing three years from then. And would I see him again? My god, we were so perfect and at the highth of our relationship.

When I told him, he had given me a big embrace, and told me I've come far with my music to get here. " Whats wrong? You dont look excited!"

" I am, just a bit anxious, thats all."

" You'll do fine, trust me." The last thing Michael and I ever did together was when he was producing his first Solomoin album, one of his hit songs was, " Dont stop till you Get Enough." Which I absolutley adored! The song was powerful and upbeat. So I was able to perfom that song with him.

While inbetween the time I was in California, I was completing my album and practicing the steps for the tour every hour every minute every second. Practice meant everything, and I worked the balls of my feet off.

I was assigned to leave August 31st, 1979. The after Michael's birthday. My father said I had to focus and spenf as much time preparing as I could. So I left a basket on the front step with tons of goodies.

Dear Michael,

Happy Birthday!! Sorry its belated.

But I'm leaving tomorrow morning.

I wanted to say, thanks for getting me this far in my career; encouraging me and being there no matter if youre near or far. Thank you so much for being my inspiration and my lover.

I feel like were never going to see eachother again! I hope this isnt true. Because I will miss you terribly. Enjoy the chocolates and homemade goodies.

With love,

Jennifer, A. Pinaud
