I head home and think about him a lot. I turned on the radio and The Love You Save turned on, and it instantly made me feel happy. As soon as he got my phone number we were off to the races. Most of the time he would call me, and we would talk about whats going on in our careers and listen to the others' ideas. Almost every night. It was a daily thing, and things were moving fast.

I could never forget the day that the Jacksons were invited to the Carol Burnett Show, my home away from home! They were going to a music number and FINALLY I was able to work wth them; ALL of them. It was a hp song that they sang, called, " Body Language." I loved it so much.

I enjoyed the whole thing, being swept off my feel by all the brothers; But Michael, when we danced, for the first time, he was so incredibly passionate! He looked me straight in the eye and spun me around, held my wast really tight and always smiled from ear to ear--I felt so special.

The newspaper came out the next morning, and Michael and I made the front cover!!! It was of course from the show, and we were dancing. It was titled, " Michael Jackson and Jennifer Pinaud; Best teenage dancers of the decade?"

He saw it too, and he was surprised as well. He called me up that morning, and it went a little like this, " Did you see the newspapers? Wow, who would have thought..."

" Yeah I know," I smiled as the phone cord dangled across my bed and my bed dresser.

" Jennifer, can I ask you something?"

" Go ahead." I said.

" Well....We've known each other for about a year now. We've done almost everything together, everything we could do with the time that we have. So, I guess what I am getting at is..."

Somebody whipped through my door, and I closed my eyes when it hit the wall. I was startled. It was my father.

"Jeni, have you seen your phone bill? You are FAR over your limit!!!!!"

" Dad, I'm sorry, I'll make up for it later, I'm on the phone-"

" No!" he snatched the phone out of my hand and slammed it back on the receiver.

" Who have you been talking to anyways?"

" My friend, Michael, dad." I answered, quietly.

" Michael? Michael who?"

" Michael Jackson. The boy a few blocks from us? He and I made the front paper-"

I showed it to him, and he once again snatched it out of my hand, then looked back at me, " No boyfriends! You're way too young, Jennifer!!"

" What are you talking about? I didn't even say 'boyfriend' I said friends, Dad. Just friends!!"

" I don't care!"

I was so sick of him exploding on me for no reason, " You know what? Ever since mom passed, you've never been happy with me! You always hang on my every word and move! You are never gonna let me try and be a normal teenager as much as possible, are you? You really do seem to forget behind my career, I am a human being. I make mistakes, as does any teenager!"

He was silent for a moment.

" Mom would understand! And she would sure be proud of where I am NOW!"

" That's enough Jennifer, " he huffed, " Now go wash up and finish your chores."

I groaned, in absolute irritation and brushed passed him in anger. Damn it! Just when I was sure Michael was going to confess something.....
