Ye Hua was admiring his beloved wife peacefully sleeping next to him. Bai Qian only slept comfortably when she snuggled with him. He didn't want to move to wake her up since she hardly rested due to the pregnancy discomfort. But he needed to attend court. He hated the idea of casting a sleeping spell for her to rest but it was the only way he could get up without interrupting her sleep. When he was about to do it, Bai Qian surprised him. "Don't you dare Ye Hua..."

"Qian Qian my love, I have to get up for my court session, I promise I'll be back as soon as I finish so we can snuggle some more." Ye Hua sweetly reassured her.

"Must you go?" Bai Qian pleaded with him.

"I have to. I'm trying to get everything done before the baby comes. That way I'll have all the time to be with you and the baby. Third Uncle have been assisting with some key decisions but my presence is needed. I'm sorry but I can't skip this meeting."

"You have some making up to do Ye Hua." Bai Qian hardened her hold on him.

"I know I do Qian Qian don't worry I won't forget to reward my beautiful wife afterwards for her benevolence, generosity and patience with me." Ye Hua gave her a passionate kiss to make her happy.

"Okay, but don't take too long or I will get out of court myself."

"How scandalous!" Ye Hua chuckled having a mental image of her doing it.

"Don't forget how audacious your Tianhou is."

"No ma'am." Ye Hua gave her one of his sultry smiles and got up to get ready. "I'll ask Nai Nai to make some snacks for Ali so you can rest a bit more. Do you want anything to eat before I go?

"No, I'll be fine. I'm not hungry now."

"All right, but promise me that you will eat later on. You need to be strong for the delivery."

"Yes, Ye Hua don't worry."

"I'll be back soon."

"Hurry back please, I already miss you"

Meanwhile at the Fox Palace...

Dong Hua was curious about his little fox latest interest of trying new things with him. He reminisced on their wild and steamy nights they been having lately. A wry smile curled up on his lips. "My voracious little fox"

"Dijun, Dijun? Are you all right?" Bai Zhi asked him bring him down from whatever cloud he was.

"Of course Bai Zhi." Dong Hua was caught sidetracked a rarity. He refocused his mind to concentrate on the meeting. Everyone worried about him. They had never seen Dijun smiling. Rumors say that whenever he smiles is because nothing good will come from it. His display caused anxiety in the minds of many who witnessed such reaction.

Dong Hua's eidetic memory recalled the last thing that they were discussing. "Are we then in agreement?"

"We are Dijun." The elders replied him.

"All right. Mo Yan then will take the confederation lead as agreed."

"Yes Dijun." Bai Zhi answered. "We'll send him a copy the signed document. Meeting adjourned." Bai Zhi announced.

Everyone left the meeting room. Bai Zhi excused himself too. Dong Hua had some free time and decided to surprise his little fox. "Migu where is your mistress?"

"Her highness went for her usual stroll after lunch. She should be on her way back by now."

"Very well." Dong Hua went to find her. He scanned the area around until he located her aura. He hid on a stealth barrier to see what she was doing. He saw that she was interacting with a white lion. "Hmm maybe she is interested on a pet? But she has never expressed the need to have one. Jiu'er what are you up to?" Dong Hua kept watching. He perceived that they were having a private conversation but he couldn't connect to it.

The while lion sensed a powerful aura around, he knew who it was so he left her side. Moments later Feng Jiu knew that Dong Hua was nearby but she acted normal not giving away that she knew he was there.

"Little one, what a nice afternoon! Did you nap well too? Soon we'll get to see your face and hold you in our arms. Your father is anxious to see you and so is your family. Be good until then. Your mama loves you very much." Feng Jiu padded her baby bump. When she tried to get up, she got dizzy. Immediately Dong Hua showed himself and caught her. Feng Jiu internally smiled; he fell for her trick.

"Jiu'er are you all right?" Dong Hua asked her worryingly.

"Yes, I was just a bit dizzy that's is all."

"Let's head back, so you can rest. Dong Hua carried his precious wife in his strong arms.

"Ok husband, thank you for coming to my rescue."

"You're welcome Jiu'er, I aim to please my little fox."

Feng Jiu gave Dong Hua a sweet kiss on his cheek. "I love it when you are like this with me." She giggled.

"Oh? Have I not rewarded my lovely wife today? You have been so daring to me lately."

"You are so shameless."

"And you know you love me like that."

"I do." Feng Jiu kissed his face all over while giggling. "My shameless Dijun." Dong Hua chuckled.

From a distance the while lion attentively observed the couple interaction. Dong Hua knew that Jiu'er furry friend was nearby, but decided to give his little fox his undivided attention. He was curious of where this big cat came from.

Dong Hua placed Feng Jiu on a settee outside the palace main garden. He produced a water basin and some towels to clean her feet. "Where did you left your shoes this time?"

"Hmmm I think they are at the other garden where I was having lunch with Gugu."

"You need to be careful when you are barefoot little fox, I don't want you to get a cut."

"I know husband. My feet crave fresh air. It must be a pregnant thing." Feng Jiu giggled feeling Dong Hua's hand washing her feet.

"You have beautiful feet. There, now they are clean." Dong Hua proceeded to give her a feet message with rose oil.

"You are spoiling me husband. Your hands are so magical."

"I love taking care of you little fox." When he finished his massage, he put some socks and shoes on her feet. Then he knelt down to hear the baby. When Dong Hua placed his ear on Feng Jiu's abdomen, the baby moved. "Little one, father wants to know how well are you doing lately. I can't wait to meet you." Dong Hua sweetly smiled. "He's asleep now Jiu'er." He caressed Feng Jiu's stomach sending shivers to her spine.

"He's going to be so spoiled Dong Hua."

"I will make sure that he doesn't lack nothing. He's after all my successor. I will teach him everything I know." Dong Hua tenderly kissed Feng Jiu's tummy.

"Are you going to teach him how to be as shameless as you?"

Dong Hua shrugged. "It depends."

"On what?"

"On his election Jiu'er. I want our son to have everything he wants including your carefree spirit. I love that about you. But I don't want him to be too restrained or be undisciplined. I want him to enjoy his childhood days as any normal child should have. But we have to remember that our son will not be an ordinary child. He is going to be powerful, more powerful than the two of us together. And for that he needs guidance, nurturing, discipline, cultivation, structure. We can give him all of that and more, but it will be up to him to chose what he wants to be when he grows."

"Is the almighty Dong Hua Dijun doubting his parental capacities?"

"Don't tell me that you aren't doubting your maternal ones Jiu'er. And I don't mean that in a negative way. We are entering this phase together and with it comes many challenges. Is one of the most joyous, exhausting, life-changing experiences. But let's be honest for a moment, neither of us have skills on this field. It is more important than ever for us to understand the pressures that we'll face that can make them less able to handle our new role as parents and avoid the kind of emotional and relationship problems that might develop. I'm not more prepared than you are Jiu'er."

Feng Jiu saw in Dong Hua's eyes a tiny hint of worry. "I truly understand your concerns Dong Hua. You never had someone who cared for you when you came into existence. Not having that needed support, I can't imagine how hard it was for you to handle your basic emotional needs as a child. The birth of our baby can be exhilarating and intimidating all at the same time. All we can do is to learn this process together to avoid unnecessary meltdowns and encourage one another so we can enjoy our baby uniqueness and development. Learning to become a better parent is something that we will acquire with our own experiences with our child Dong Hua. We just need to trust our instincts more than ever and equally bond with our baby as soon as possible so he can be attached to the both of us.

Instead of focusing on the kind of problems that can develop and be stressful about it. It would be better if we handle these new pressures with a clear mind and prevent what should be a joyous time from undermining our emotional well-being, not to mention the emotional well-being of our baby. Everyone will have an opinion about how we should do this or that, but in the end, it will come down to us to decide how are we going to raise our child Dong Hua. Is just you and me. We can do this. Remember that."

"When did you became so wise and perceptive?" Dong Hua leaned his forehead into Feng Jiu's.

"Since I married you." Feng Jiu nuzzled her nose with his.

"Hmmm, am I so difficult to deal with?" He sweetly gazed her.

"Sometimes...but you know that I always welcome the challenge." Feng Jiu sweetly smiled at him.

"That is why you are my equal. You're the one that knows me the best." Dong Hua kissed her forehead.

"Is never a boring experience with you. After all you are the almighty Dong Hua Dijun."

"That's right and not anybody else could fill the place of being my Dihou. It took a sweet little red fox like yourself to captivate my interest." Dong Hua teasingly said.

"Not to mention your heart" Feng Jiu met his teasing.

"Hmmm and my body..." Dong Hua alluring breath was arousing her senses.

Feng Jiu moved her hands down south taking him by surprise. "Especially the most coveted jewels in the whole wide universe, and they're all mine" Feng Jiu gave him one of her melting smiles.

"You are getting rather possessive my wife."

"Don't forget greedy and brazen." Feng Jiu was rubbing her hands all over him.

"And sensual, sexy, erotic, seductive, enchanting, beautiful and all mine" Dong Hua lost his control, he quickly casted a privacy barrier and showed her how much he wanted her. After their rumpus rendezvous, Dong Hua transported them to their bath chambers. "Are you uncomfortable in any way Jiu'er? I know you're closer to the delivery date. I don't want to cause any uneasiness with our tenacious physical activities."

"I'm not uncomfortable, I still can manage. You know how much I crave your touch husband. Our bodies are so attuned to one another that is impossible to resist."

"And you look so alluring being pregnant. I loved seeing your body changed not to mention your aroma and taste. You are more addictive now than ever Jiu'er. I'm getting rather thirsty." Dong Hua placed her legs on his shoulders and proceeded to drink from her sweet nectar. Feng Jiu's moans fumed his desire even further, pleasing his pregnant wife. "Jiu'er my love you taste exquisite."

"Don't stop now please..." Feng Jiu pleaded him caressing his silvery mane. Feng Jiu was screaming from the pleasure her beloved was giving her. Dong Hua was enjoying seeing her this heated. He knew she was close again. "Let it go Jiu'er..." Feng Jiu convulsed releasing herself while calling his name. She was in utterly bliss panting hard.

"Ah little fox I'm not finished with you yet. Let's try a more comfortable position for you and take it slow. I want to enjoy myself with you this time and savor every bit of you." After they satisfied each other, they laid down completely relaxed. Dong Hua was caressing her bare back. "Husband you are a fast learner." Feng Jiu seductively told him.

"I had a great teacher." Dong Hua kissed her head.

"Husband...."

"Yes?"

"I love you." Feng Jiu was looking at him with so much devotion and dedication. Her big doe brown eyes radiated so much beauty and innocence. It melted his heart when she gazed him like that. He inhaled deeply her aroma and sweetly smiled.

"Jiu'er... I love you too. I often ponder what did I do to deserve you. My little fox so brave, powerful and pure captured my heart forever. Soon we'll have our own little family that I can call my own." Dong Hua held her content.

Feng Jiu felt a deep tug in her heart. She knew how important for him was to have this. Something that he never indulged on. "I'm happy that I'm able to gift you this Dong Hua." Feng Jiu padded her pregnant belly.

"Among the many things that you have given me, this is the greatest gift. I'm pleased also that is with you that I can realize my dream to be a father. You're perfect and precious to me Jiu'er and I can't ever repay you for what you have done for me."

"Thank you, husband. This is our little bundle of our love. Have you thought about a name for our son?"

"No. You?"

"Hmmm I want to name him Guang Gun Gun."

"Guang Gun Gun?"

"Do you like it?"

"I like it Jiu'er. Our son's name will be Guang Gun Gun." Dong Hua chuckled.

"Gun Gun will be so handsome, composed, caring and intelligent. After his father, and we'll love him so much."

"And he will also be daring, brave, playful, courageous and pure after his mother, and we'll love him even more."

"He'll know how to fish. I already seen him enjoying that."

"Of course, he will. And I will teach him how to do my specialty dish." Feng Jiu and Dong Hua laughed out loud, enjoying themselves imagining their son upbringing. Dong Hua was caressing Feng Jiu's abdomen. "Jiu'er... can I ask you something?"

"What do you want to know husband?" She was enjoying his massage.

"Are you interested in getting a pet?"

"A pet? Why do you ask such question?" Feng Jiu snickered.

Dong Hua carefully thought about how to bring the subject up and went for it. "I saw you interacting with a white lion earlier on while you where in the forest. I don't recall you ever asking for one...so I want to know if you are interested on having the lion as your pet."

Feng Jiu began to feel nervous but managed to calmed down not giving anything away. "The lion asked me to be my companion until he dies."

Dong Hua noticed her erratic heart beats knowing that she was panicky and probably hiding something from him. "Hmmm your companion? I don't oppose to it, if that's what you want Jiu'er. I know that having a primordial animal spirit does connect with other animals. I didn't know that there were lions on Qing Qui." He pressed the matter further to see her reaction.

Feng Jiu answered the first thing that came into her mind. "Perhaps he descendent to Qing Qui to settle down from the remnant of the war. Other regions are still being rebuilt. I allowed him to roam around Qing Qui with the condition not to hunt our kind and other endangered species. Which he agreed. I hope other predators don't follow suit."

"Such a thoughtful cat. Gun Gun might like to have him around too when he's older. It will be good for him to learn how to take care of others. Maybe he can serve as Gun Gun's mount later on. You know for extra protection."

"Perhaps" Feng Jiu yawned and didn't say nothing else about the white lion subject. She knew that Dong Hua was curious about it. She held Dong Hua waist and fell asleep. Dong Hua hold her tight and patiently waited for her to be in deep sleep. He will definitely find out the mystery behind of her furry companion. Once she was knocked out, Dong Hua went into her mind and recalled their conversation. He was surprised to find out who the white lion is. "Him?" Dong Hua asked incredulous. "Little fox what is going on in that mind of yours to let him close to you now? Hmm." He was distraught, but decided to keep close taps on them to find out more information without misjudging her intentions. He knew his Jiu'er was loyal to him.

Morning time came....

Feng Jiu woke up to an empty bed disappointed. Dong Hua already left to attend his duties. She was poignant and wasn't sure why Dong Hua pressed the matter about her companion. "Perhaps he's jealous, I should tell him the truth to avoid any misunderstandings." She got up and was greeted by Migu.

"Your highness, your mother and Zhe Yan are waiting for you at the main garden. Your breakfast is there too thinking that you want to enjoy their company while you eat."

"Thank you Migu. Where is Dijun?"

"He left early to the palace. There is also a white lion roaming around the palace grounds."

"Thank you Migu. Leave him be, he's a friend. I will be at the garden attending my family. You can take your leave Migu, I'll be fine."

"Yes, your highness. Please don't forget to wear your shoes. Let me know if there is anything else needed."

"Of course, Migu. Thank you." Feng Jiu went to the garden to meet her parents who were happy to see her.

"Kittling, my darling come here. You are such a lovely vision! Look at you Xiao Jiu, you're beautifully glowing!!!" Zhe Yan gave her a big hug. "Thank you fùqīn."

"How are you feeling sweetheart?" Her mother asked.

"I feel great."

"It shows darling. Well, we came to make sure that everything is all set with you. Have you been exercising?" Zhe Yan teasingly asked her.
