Jacob's point of view:
We went back to my place and snuck up to my bedroom. Well, we didn't really sneak. My mother caught us coming in and gave Rebekka a friendly hello. She said it was find that she would be staying here and welcomed her with open arms. She also asked that I show her to one of our guest rooms. I told Rebekka that I would after a while. She didn't argue.
We walked into my bedroom and I shut the door behind me as she trailed in with a curious and watchful eye. I took my guitar in hand from where it sat in the corner of the room. She sat herself down on my bed as she kept searching around the room. She noticed the many posters of bands and singers and all of my favourite movies. There were more of those then there was wall now. I had been living here forever, the posters had grown with me over time.
"You really are into music," she said with a laugh. I chuckled and nodded in agreement as I sat down in the chair in front of the bed. She crossed her legs over each other as she sat at the foot of the bed, watching as I held the guitar in my hands.
"You still want to hear a song?" I asked. She nodded and waited for me to begin. I tried to think about what I could play for her. I tried to think up my favourite songs that were hard to fail at. So I went for one of the first songs I had ever written, and it was also the easiest to sing and, quite frankly, it sounded the best out of all my writing.
I began to strum the guitar in intro. The song was slow tempo at first, kind of mellow and calm. They were simple keys that came together to form a kind of Mediterranean tune, combined with the American beat that everyone here loves, even me. The intro was only a few seconds long to bring the song in, then I went straight to the lyrics, which were a little sentimental.
"It's the middle of the night, and I'm walkin' far.
Meanwhile your daddy's in the wind, drivin' his car.
And you're sleepin' under the night's pretty stars.
So I fall to the ground, tryin' to make a sound.
Wishin' mainly I would be yours to crowd.
Then you come over to me and say "sir, are you alright?"
Then I see you, and I take flight.
A beautiful young ghost.
Acting as my hold.
An enemy turned haven
Keepin' me clean shaven.
I'll stay with you until our days are done.
War torn country, filled us with fear.
Yet the child unborn gave us a happy tear.
The separation made us pray to unite.
Together was the way we wanted to fight.
A beautiful young ghost.
Acting as my hold.
An enemy turned haven
Keepin' me clean shaven.
I'll stay with you until our days are done.
And she's an angel in the worst of the darkest times.
And even though she was strong, she was always mine.
I'd protect her in the fire and the bullet's shine.
Because even though she had her strength, she was always mine.
A beautiful young ghost.
Acting as my hold.
An enemy turned haven
Keepin' me clean shaven.
I'll stay with you until our days are done.
Oh yes I'll stay with you until our days are done."
"Wow...that's beautiful. How did you learn to sing like that?" Rebekka asked as I ended the song. I was flattered that she liked it so much. I loved this song because it was so close to my heart and was based off of real events.

"Thank you. I wrote the song about my parents. It's their story during World War Two," I replied. She smiled bright and it seemed as though her mood has changed after I played her the song. Had it really given her such an affect?
"I don't know the story, but my guess is she took him in her home and they fell in love?" She asked. I nodded and put the guitar away.
"Yes, it is. Although my parents don't know about it. I never really perform for anyone in my family," I replied.
"I think you should. You'll make it out there someday. You have talent," she replied.
"Thank you."

Elora's point of view:
The night sky filled the window screen as I sat in the living room, bored and wishing for something to do. The snow was melting but it was still chilly and freezing. We would have weather like this until April at the least. Washington was able to be quite cold when she had the want for it. Needless to say, it made the days rather unentertaining and a bit dark.
That was, until I heard a sharp ring sound from the telephone in the room next to me. It made me jump as I stood from the sofa and went to answer it. The phone had rang three times before I arrived there and placed the phone to my ear.
"Hello?" I asked. I heard the frantic breathing of Mihn on the other line. I knew instantly that something was wrong.
"Elora! It's Lorelei! Her water broke. I am just about to drive her to the hospital. She wanted me to call you and let you know. She wants all of you to meet her at the hospital as soon as you can," he explained on the line. Oh my god, my sister was having a baby! We had to get there as soon as possible! I wanted to see the baby!
"I'll let everyone know. We'll see you there soon. Thanks, Mihn," I said to him. He and I said goodbye and I quickly hung up. I rushed upstairs to find everyone, excited to tell them that Lorelei was having a baby. I found all in the house and they quickly rushed to get in the car so we could see them.
Flynn and I took the second car with Jacob and Emmaleigh in the back. Rebekka agreed to watch Percy while we were at the hospital. Lorelei wanted her there but someone had to stay back and she volunteered. She would have time to see the baby when we came to their apartment in a few days to see how the baby was doing. I was terribly excited to see the new addition to the Horowitz family, even if the baby would not have that last name. I had the biggest feeling the baby was going to be a girl as well.
We arrived at the hospital and went to the nurse at the desk. We asked where she was and she directed us to her room. She said we didn't have much time to see her since she would have to push soon and only one person could be in there with her. We knew we had to make good time before we had to sit outside for hours on end until she had the baby. This was going to be a long night for all of us.
"Alright, it's time for her to push. She can have her mother in here and one other woman," the nurse said to us as she checked Lorelei to see if she was fully dilated and ready to push. It was Emmaleigh who she chose to come in with her and my mother. I stayed with Flynn and the boys. Carina and Peter would be on their way as soon as they could. They just had to find someone to watch Kamila.

"This is so exciting. I can't believe I'm at the age where my siblings are starting to have babies. It's a little on the scary side," I said to Flynn as we sat together in the lobby. It really was a bit frightening. Imagine if I would be the next one to have a baby? Emmaleigh may, she was still seeing Harry. I had not heard from him since we met him at the carnival.
"That's part of growing up I suppose. I wonder which one of you and your siblings will be next to have a baby?" He said to me. I shrugged my shoulders and smiled. I leaned against his shoulder and began to shut my eyes. It was late and I was getting extremely tired. It didn't take long for me to dose off and fall asleep.
I was shaken awake a few hours later by my father. He was sitting in his wheelchair, giving his prosthetic leg a break for a while. I gently opened up my eyes as I realized I was no longer leaning on Flynn'a shoulder, but tipping my head back as I slept. My neck was a little sore which told me I had been in that position for some time now.
"You want to meet your niece?" My father asked. Niece? I knew it was a girl! I'm a damn psychic! This caused me to bolt up from my chair and make to Lorelei's hospital room.
Inside was my sister and her husband. However, there was a new addition, being held gently in her arms. There was this beautiful baby girl the size of a tiny pea compared to the rest of us. She was asleep in the arms of her tired and calm mother, being stared at with love by her new parents. I don't think I have ever seen Mihn smile like that. He had a wonderful smile, I didn't know why he didn't do it very often. He seemed happy, but he never projected it. Was he really so private?
"Oh my God, she's beautiful!" I heard Emmaleigh say as we all stared at the new baby. She really was quite a sight to be seen. She was the perfect mix of her mother and father. I knew in an instant that she would be beautiful for the rest of her life.
"Have you decided a name yet?" I asked as we surrounded the hospital bed. Lorelei and Mihn stole a quick look and smiled admirably at each other
"Her name is Evelyn Hilda Láhn," she replied. Wow, for some reason that was a truly beautiful name to me. The way it rolled off the tongue just made it so gorgeous and practical. I didn't really like the name Evelyn until I heard my sister say that was the name of my new niece. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her, I was glad to know she was part of my family.
"That's a great name," Flynn said. For a minute I had forgotten he was in here. I turned around and grinned at him as we watched each other for a few quick seconds. For a minute I imagined what it would be like to have babies with Flynn, to raise them with him. He would be an amazing father.
All in all, this had turned out to be one of the best starts of the year we had ever had.

Jacob's point of view:
Two days later...
The house was unusually quiet today. I took this as a blessing in disguise. See, I was sitting around in the living room being bored and silent when I had this inspiration to do some song writing. It was the perfect opportunity. Elora and Flynn were outside, he was teaching her some self-defence tactics he learned from the military when he was training. My parents went into town to do something or other, I can't quite remember. Lorelei was at her apartment taking care of Evelyn and Emmaleigh had gone out with that boy Harry she was obsessed with. I was all alone, I'll use the time wisely.
What was I going to write this song about? I had this overwhelming need to write, but what would it be about? My songs always had a meaning to them, I didn't just write words down and expect them to come together. I just didn't know what it would be about. I went to my guitar and began to strum a few cords together, trying to make sense of it all while thinking about a topic as well. I just decided that the first thing that came to my mind would be what I wrote about. With one strum, I said the words.
"And she was and she had that idea.
And she had that response and that ever so bright soul so collective.
And I call it the Rebekka Perspective," I sang. Did I really just sing about her? Yes, I just sang about Rebekka and the way she thought. That was the first thing that came to my mind. So, it was settled quickly, I'd be writing this song about her. I would also be as honest as I could be when it came to the way I thought of her.
"Ooh ooh ooh ooh Rebekka
Sitting in the rain.
Ooh ooh ooh ooh Rebekka
Takes away all the pain
Ooh ooh ooh ooh Rebekka
Speaks about the summer sun
And makes the worst days the best of fun.
Oh, her happiness is just infective
Because it's the Rebekka Perspective.
Ooh ooh ooh ooh Rebekka
The orange in the flame
Ooh ooh ooh ooh Rebekka
Changing up the game
Ooh ooh ooh ooh Rebekka
If I ever died today
I would be hers to slay
Even if she falls
She gets back up and I happily call
Ooh ooh ooh ooh Rebekka
Sitting in the rain
Ooh ooh ooh ooh Rebekka
Takes away the pain
Ooh ooh ooh ooh Rebekka
Rebekka."
That was the quickest I had ever sang a song before. It usually took me hours to write two songs. This was a short twenty minutes. For some reason the inspiration just came to me on a whim. Not to mention, I liked the song, the way it sounded. It was a once in a lifetime thing to be able to have such a good song. The oddest part of this was the fact that it was Rebekka that had brought me to such a good song. Now I had this overwhelming need to show it to her, but I couldn't right now. I was going to send out a demo to a recording studio to see if they liked it. If they did, then I would show it to her. If they didn't, then I would keep working on it until it was perfect enough to make it.
I finished writing down the song and I went downstairs to grab a bottle of Coca Cola. I opened the bottle by banging it on the counter, which was what I always did when my parents weren't looking. They hated it since the counters were so damned expensive. I knew it wasn't good. The counters were made of something called Caesarstone. I didn't know anything about it only that it was expensive and overpriced.
"What are you doing?" I heard the soft voice of Rebekka from the archway of the kitchen behind me. I turned around and smiled at her as she stood. Her hair was loose around her shoulders, her freckled face paled from the winter which made her dark eyes look darker than they actually were.
"Just having a Coca-Cola. I did some song writing and now I'm taking a little break. What are you doing?" I asked. She shrugged as she walked into the kitchen. She was wearing bell bottoms and a white blouse that went loose around her chest. The shirt was quite airy which made it leave little to the imagination when it came to her upper abdomen. I had to admit that it was hard to not stare at her chest continuously.
"Wandering around until something revolutionary happens. Did you want to go out and do something tonight? I haven't been to the movie theatre in forever," she offered. It would've been nice to get out with her for a while. She and I always had quite a lot of fun when we were together.
"Sure, why not? What movie were you thinking of seeing?" I asked. Rebekka shrugged her shoulders and grinned at me.
"MASH looks pretty good. I know you probably hate military movies since all your family does is that kind of thing. It looks kind of funny though," she said. I knew about the book, I hadn't heard the movie. Granted, I was pretty busy lately so I didn't have time to keep up with current cinema.
"No, that'll be fine. I'm sure if you think it's funny it will be. Just let me get my things and we can go. Elora can watch Percy for a while. She won't mind," I replied. She nodded, and when I had all the things figured out with Percy, we were off for another night on the town.
