It's been several days since monsters and humans started living together, I became the ambassador from monsters to humans, Undyne became a police officer, Papyrus opened a restaurant, Chara and Asriel went to school where Toriel was a teacher, Asgore became a gardener, Alphys is now a biology teacher, MTT is a famous actor while Napsta is a DJ, and Sans... Sans is the same... Mount Ebbot was closed and only a few people could go in, luckily, as an ambassador, I was one of the people allowed to enter. So, I went back to the now-abandoned cave, almost every weekend, Sans and I were trying to fix a machine that, for some reason was really important to him, all that I really knew, is that my determination was needed, so I couldn't help but aid him on his quest. Sometimes, Alphys would stop by and help us, but the machine was trashed, it would take a long time to fix it properly

Alphys: Sans, I know this is important to you, but it could take months to completely fix the machine, it's been exposed to years of abandonment, and it's full of ketchup...

Sans: This whole world is exactly what he wanted, he deserves to see all that happened, he deserves to see the monsters free once again

Y/n: Guys... I have no fucking clue of what or whom you're talking about, and I understand that I'm just an energy source or battery to this crappy machine. But you guys pay no attention to the machine, and instead, pass the whole day discussing how long it's gonna take and what you guys need to do, if for once in all these days you stopped arguing and focused on the damn machine, maybe it'd be working by now, so put your shit together and start working

They both look at the ground slightly ashamed

Alphys: You're... You're right

Sans: Yeah... We should probably start to work on this

Y/n: First of all: what the heck is this machine? What is it's purpose?

Sans: It's a scanner

Y/n: That's super specific, now I know all about it

Sans: *Sigh* A friend of mine fell into one of his creations and got shattered throughout time and space, this machine would help find his pieces

Chara: That would help FIND him, but how would you put him back together?

Sans: With determination

Y/n: Isn't determination too strong to monsters, and if monsters feel it, they'd just melt into a puddle of sadness and then turn to dust?

Sans: If there's too much determination, yes, however, with just enough determination, it will be just the right amount to bring him back

Y/n: I don't know how that works, but yeah, sure, anyway, you noticed how this looks like a computer, right? Maybe, we can fix it with only old computers

Alphys: My lab has some spare parts, maybe it can help

Y/n: And that mountain of screens beneath your lab too

Sans: That's his old lab

Chara: it's creepy, dark and full of dust

Y/n: Rrrright... Let's get this shit done

We started scavenging all the pieces and bringing back to Sans' machine, it wasn't that hard since Sans could basically teleport. And about two hours later we had all the pieces

Alphys: I... I think that's all...

Sans: can we take a break?

Y/n: you've been taking breaks since we started, let's just end this

Sans: fine... But if I die, it's on you

Chara: You won't die only because you didn't rest, man up, will you?

Y/n: Yare yare... So... What do we do now?

Sans: we change the damaged parts

Alphys: We're going to change the whole machine

I threw myself to the ground and started to unscrew the machine. After a long time, we all made the machine just barely work, at least it was enough for it to turn on

Sans: Great, now I have to code all again, that's gonna take some time

He takes the keyboard and starts typing something

I turn to the wall and lie down on the floor to sleep

Alphys sits on the ground and pulls a manga from her pocket and starts to read, and after some time...

Sans: FINALLY! Y/n! Come here

Y/n: Whu...? Who?... Where?

Sans: C'mon

He grabs my wrist and throws me to a chair and attach a lot of wires to my body, and suddenly everything turns black, everything is lost inside

Chara: I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU......

After some time I woke up in a bed with Sans by my left side, Alphys by my right one, and a black tall figure with cracks in his face in front of me

???: Hello, young one, how are you feeling?

Sans: Gaster, I guess he needs to rest for now

Alphys: G... Let's let him sleep

Y/n: So... You're the one... His friend?... Nice... We did it... Didn't we...?

Sans: We did... This is Gaster, the former Royal scientist

Y/n: Nice...

After some time I wake up with Chara rumming her finger through my hair

Chara: hey... How're you holding up?

Y/n: I'm not... It was worst then when two thirds of my determination where extracted to bring you guys back to life

Sans: Sorry kiddo, I don't think you'd be okay in using Chara

G: You could at least ask him before throwing him into that chair

Y/n: So... You're the one who's been watching me since the beginning? And who scared MK a while ago?

Chara: Yeah, and why did the River Person said "beware of the man who came from another world" or something like that?

G: I'll explain everything

I try to get up but end up sitting and holding Chara's hand

G: Except I wasn't expecting you two to end up like this

He pulls a chair and Sans rests on a wall

G: Like Sans said before, I fell down in one of my experiments, I still remember the entry log

Sans: Entry number 17

G: Dark Darker Yet Darker

Sans: The darkness keeps growing

G: The shadows cutting deeper

Sans: Photon readings negative

G: This next experiment seems

Sans: Very...

G: Very...

Sans: Interesting

Alphys: What do you two think?

Chara and I look at Alphys surprised

Y/n: You too?

Alphys: W... well

Sans: she helped, yeah, but she wasn't fully a part of the project

Chara: "Photon readings negative?"

Y/n: Negative amount of light, wait, did you write this after you fell into your creation?

G: Most certainly, yes, however, the creation wasn't about light at all

Y/n: Figured as much, you were scattered throughout all space and time, which means you saw every outcome, every ending, an infinite amount of timelines

Chara: How do you...?

Y/n: He "talked" to me a few times

G: You are almost completely correct, however, I haven't seen every outcome, nor every ending, this one, I could not see, the prince and the princess brought back to life, and you ending up dating her. In most of the cases you ended up withering away after all your determination were extracted from your body

Y/n: geez, thanks for that

G: All I'm saying is, you surprised me, and I'm forever grateful for this ending, you could save me from that void in between realities, it felt like I was and wasn't at the same time

Y/n: Did you became a Schrodinger cat? Schrodinger Gaster?

Sans chuckles a little

G: You're not completely wrong, however, I sense this is coming to an end

Chara: what do you mean?

G: Don't worry, it's up to your imagination whether or keep going or not, but as much as the story goes, this is pretty much it, you can have a happy ending, but it's not up to the ✌︎🕆︎❄︎☟︎🏳︎☼︎ anymore, but it's up to the ☼︎☜︎✌︎👎︎☜︎☼︎🕯︎💧︎ creativity

Y/n: What on earth are you talking about?

G: It's all coming together now, so tou don't have to worry much, as for the ✌︎🕆︎❄︎☟︎🏳︎☼︎🕯︎💧︎ mind, you guys will have a perfect life

He starts to walk away from the lab and Sans disappears soon after, Alphys gets out as well and now I'm alone with Chara

Chara: What did he meant?

Y/n: I guess it's what "Flowey" said before, this is all just a Story, and this is probably the end

Chara: What will happen then?

Y/n: I'm sure will be fine, I know I will, as long as I'm with you

I hug her and she hugs me back

Chara: I can say the same thing

She kisses me and the lights start to fade out

What happens to us is now up to you reader, as long as the Author is concerned, we wil have a beautiful life, but what do you think?
