Frank sewed up Matt's wound in the back and placed some gauze on it. They were using a flashlight to avoid police detecting them since they were near the rooftop where Matt got shot. Police sirens were heard in the distance while Micro watched out for them. After a few moments, Matt gained consciousness.
"What happened?" Matt asked, rubbing his forehead.
"You were shot... by me." Frank chuckled, placing the first aid kit down, "The bastard that you were fighting was tough to hit. Keeps on moving around."
"Did he get away."
"If he didn't get away, he would be right beside you and dead. But he ran. Ran like a coward into the darkness. If I were you, Red, give up the mask and be yourself. Be the lawyer you always dreamt of."
"And leave the people I care about unchecked? That won't be happening anytime-"
"I'll protect them, Red. Don't even worry about them because the people you care about will be protected by you, through your relationships and me by my guns. Just give up the suit, Red. This war is over. Give up."
"But..." Matt stopped talking because he couldn't answer, "I'll try, Frank. But I need you to protect them."
"I'll jump towards them if they were being shot at. I promise, I'll take care of them. Bullseye and Fisk should be in your rear view mirror because they're right on front of me and I'm ramming their ass over." Frank sighed and gave Matt a pat on the back. Micro opened the sliding door of the van. "We're at your apartment."
"Thanks, Frank. For helping me with the wound and telling me about Karen."
"You're welcome." Frank smiled and Matt started walking away, "And remember what I said."

"I will." Matt said, walking inside his apartment.
"Tough bastard."
Karen laughed at a joke that Matt said. They were both eating at a fancy restaurant not too far away from the New York Bulletin. Matt was wearing what he usually wears while Karen was wearing a sweater. It was still cold in New York and everyone was dying to get a hot coffee. But Matt and Karen were having a friendly chat.
"I'm so glad you gave up the suit... and this time it's real." Karen smiled.
"It was hard but I'm out and I can do whatever I want. The lawyer in me is in full control." Matt chuckled. "How's Ellison treating you?"
"He's giving me a easier time. Especially with all the promotions he's giving me." Karen took a bite at the pasta they were eating, "He's a nice guy to me."
"I can tell by the way he moves. He values you more than other."
"How did you get the money to even afford at a place to eat like this?"
"Danny Rand. Rich man. He sets me up pretty nicely." Matt smirked and Karen chuckled, "Is Castle watching you?"
"It's weird because I feel like he's watching me in my office. Like he's on the other side of a roof or something."
"Well, someone has to protect you, right? Frank is your guardian now. It ain't the Daredevil."
"At least I know you aren't getting hurt."
"Yeah..." Matt sighed and took off his glasses, "me too."
When Bullseye entered the room, he could tell that Fisk was upset and frustrated. He missed the chance to kill Daredevil two weeks ago and now the Devil hasn't been showing up. Bullseye been trying to get the perfect shot on Murdock too but he's been hiding well.

"I hire you and then you turn into a shitbag who can't catch the Devil." Fisk muttered.
"The asshole is crafty. He's getting out of every situation I put him into."
"You didn't say that the first time we met." Fisk sighed and placed his hands together. He leaned over to him, "What do you need? RPG's? Weapons? Men?"
"No, no, no." Bullseye shook his head and thought, "An opportunity."
Frank was waiting for a convoy to pull up on the streets after he heard that Fisk was transferring weapons. He decided to do it on the street to make it easier. He had a assault rifle under his thick jacket and was ready to kill.
Three cars appeared at the end of the street. While they were driving, Frank showed up and started shooting at the tires. All three cars crashed into lamp posts, buildings or curbs. Multiple men jumped out but were easily gunned down by Frank. When they were all dealt with, Frank checked the inside of the main car. He removed the cover which revealed a bomb.
"Mother-" Frank jumped out at the last second and was sent into a closed shop. He groaned in pain after hitting a wall. The sound he could hear was fire and screaming. When he limped out of a the shop, a black figure walked towards him.
"I've been waiting for this!" Bullseye shouted, bringing out a knife.
"Try me!" Frank answered back, grabbing a machete out of the pawn shop he was in.
The two clashed on the street and there blades were making a lot of noise. Bullseye was more skilled in hand to hand combat and Frank was being overpowered. Frank swung with the machete but missed, giving Bullseye the time to stab Frank on the side. Frank groaned in pain, standing on one leg. Bullseye grabbed the machete off his hand and stabbed his left thigh.
"This is what I wanted. The replacement of the Daredevil injured." Bullseye smiled as he crouched on front of Frank.
"Fuck... you." Frank muttered, spitting on Bullseye's face.
"Wow." Bullseye wiped the saliva off, "When Fisk said you were an asshole, I didn't know it was that much."
Bullseye chuckled for a bit and walked over to one of the dead bodies. He grabbed the pistol off the holster and walked back to Frank.
"Well... we need to get the attention of the Devil, don't we?" Bullseye asked, aiming the gun for his right thigh, "And I have the perfect solution."
(Note: Sorry if this felt like a fast chapter because I need to squeeze in a chapter tonight. Maximum effort, am I right?)
