Ryder's POV

"He's up to something," I told Oliver, pressing down on the controller's buttons. My mind had been reeling all day long. I couldn't get Casey and Drake going out together out of my head. I told myself that I wasn't jealous, that I was just worried. I knew that asshole for the fucker that he was, and I was worried he would break Casey's heart once again.

"Who's up to something?" Oliver asked, his eyes squinted, all of his focus poured into the game. We were down three to six and Oliver was beginning to become irritated. Oliver had always been a sore loser.

"Drake, you fucktard, pay attention," I glared, anger seeping out into my words. I hated the fucking guy. What the hell Casey saw in him, I had no idea. But I didn't care. She could go out with whoever she wanted. She wasn't my responsibility, if he hurt her, it was her own damn fault. Throwing my controller onto the couch, beside me, I cursed, rubbing my hand down my face.

"Who the fuck pissed in your cereal?" Oliver asked next to me, his eyes wide at my sudden outburst.

"I swear to god, if he hurts her again, I will break his kneecaps." Standing up, I began to pace the room, my hands running through my hair repeatedly. My mind kept going over the endless possibilities as to why he could have asked her to go on that cruise with him.

"Ryder, who the fuck are you going on about?" Oliver asked, pausing the game and I felt like ripping his eyebrows off.

"I'm talking about Drake, you fuckface," I hissed, my fists clenching tightly at my sides.

He gave me a knowing look, his lips curling into a smirk. "Cavanaugh, are you jealous?"

I snorted. "Jealous? Of a guy who doesn't know how to use his d*ck?"

"No. Are you jealous that Casey is out on a date with the wiener?" he asked, his smirk growing when I sent him a murderous glare.

I scoffed, wanting to laugh. "Are you on drugs? Why would I be jealous? Never been jealous, never will be."

"You've never had a reason to be jealous. But now...the one girl who you actually have feelings for is going on a date with your biggest enemy." I wanted to strangle his thick neck.

"Fuck you, asswipe. I'm gonna go get drunk and fuck some girl senseless." I snatched my jacket off the couch and stormed out of the hotel room, slamming the door behind me.

Jealous? Fuck that. I never got jealous. I didn't need to. I could have any girl I wanted.

A couple of shots, three girls later, I was still seething. I knew Drake was up to something and it made me furious that I couldn't figure out what it was. It made me even more furious that Oliver was confusing concern with jealousy. I wasn't jealous, Casey and I were just friends. I was concerned for my friend.

After I had exhausted the third girl, I'd gone to the beach, thinking that the sound of the waves would make me feel better. No such luck. Bringing the water bottle I had in my hand up to my lips, I gulped down half of the water. That's when I heard someone approach me, but I didn't bother turning around. Maybe if I ignored them, they would go away.

"Hey, Ryder." I turned around at the sound of Nissa's voice, and nodded in greeting. She walked over towards me and sunk down next to me on the sand. "It's awkward that I'm talking to you when Casey's not around, isn't it?"

I turned to her, raising an eyebrow. Was this girl for real?

She shrugged, carelessly. "I'm just saying what we're both thinking. But, listen, if you're going to be my best friend's future husband—" I chocked on my own spit, which led to a violent coughing fit. Nissa threw me a worried look, so I signaled to her that I was fine. "Like, I was saying, if you're going to be her husband, you and I need to get along, and to do that we need to go on a crazy adventure, so we can bond."

I rolled my eyes, turning to her. "I'm guessing you have a suggestion?"

"Of course," she answered enthusiastically. Grunting, I gestured for her to get on with it. "We're gonna sneak onto the cruise."

I turned to stare at her, trying to decipher if she was crazy. "Why would we do that?" I found myself asking even though I really didn't want to know the answer.

"You need to make sure that the jackass doesn't put his hands on your future wife and I need to make sure he doesn't hurt my best friend, yet again." I sighed patiently, shaking my head.

"First off: she won't be my wife, no one will, because I'm never getting married and second: leave me alone," I gave her a fake smile and gestured towards the path she'd just taken to get to me. I didn't have time for Nissa and her ridiculous antics.

"You know it's a couple's cruise right? My mom and dad would always go on that cruise when we were vacationing, when they needed time alone, if you know what I mean," she waggled her eyebrows up and down with a smirk and my eyes widened.

Bolting up, I offered her a hand. "Get your ass up, we've got some tickets to buy."

That is how I found myself boarding a cruise for couples while pretending to be Nissa Evan's boyfriend. Kill me now.

"Names?" a guy dressed in a blue vest, linen pants and black shoes, asked, looking bored out of his mind.

"Nissa Evans and Ryder Cavanaugh. Ah, we're so excited for this cruise, are we not, sugar-puff?" she answered in the most annoying sing-song voice. It was literally making my ears bleed and Little Ryder shrivel.

"Yes, we are, ladymuffin," I answered, mustering as much enthusiasm as I could into my voice.

"See, we haven't woinked in days, 'cause this one's wiener wouldn't come up, ah, such a tragedy, I tell ya'," a southern tang seeped into her voice and I gave her a freaked out look. She elbowed me and I winced, turning to the guy.

"Well you know how the body works. You go and get little friends down in your cave, the guy down south won't come out to play." I curved my lips into a humorless smile, earning myself a glare from Nissa. I had to admit that the girl's glare was kind of frightening.

The guy gave us both annoyed looks and gestured for us to get on board. Pulling Nissa forcefully onto the boat, I glared at her as soon as we were out of the guy's sight. "Were you trying to get us caught?"

She shrugged, throwing her hands up defensively. "Hey, if I'm going to have Ryder Cavanaugh pretend he's my boyfriend, I'm going to have fun with it."

Glaring at her, I glanced around. "We should split up."

"Yeah, sure," she replied and walked away before I could answer. Letting out a breath in frustration, I headed to the end of the yacht, looking for any signs of Casey and the turd.

"Ryder Cavanaugh, we meet again." Oh dear god, no! No, no, no, no!

Dear, God, if you are listening, I will literally stop spreading hair on Oliver's bed to make him think he's a werewolf if you make her disappear into thin air.

"Fancy finding you here on a couple's cruise." Turning around, I tried to keep my patience in check. Thanks a lot, big guy!

"Hey, it's the girl who cursed my wiener. Still trying to suck the blood out of unsuspecting idiots, I see," I greeted, giving her a fake smile.

She glared, her eyes turning dark. "Still the same jackass, I see."

"What can I say? A zebra never changes it's stripes, but you would know that, wouldn't you?" Her eyes turned darker, her jaw clenching.

"God, I hate you," she glared, running her eyes down my body, while licking her lips, making me cringe. What the hell was with Los Angeles? That was two times now that I was uncomfortable by a girl checking me out. "You wanna make out?"

"No! Get away from me, you freak! First, you lied to me about being a witch, then you go and put a curse on me, because I wouldn't fuck you a second time, and now you think I wanna suck your face?" I asked in disbelief. I wonder how many times this girl had been dropped on her head?

"Hey, I rocked your world!" she hissed, getting too close for comfort.

"No, you bit my nipples and then twisted them, claiming that it was foreplay. And I am all for the freaky stuff, but you, you're just plain crazy!" I turned around and stomped away, putting as much distance as I could between me and the psycho.

Catching a glimpse of Casey's dark brown hair, I ducked behind a potted plant.

"What are we doing?" I hadn't noticed Nissa until she spoke up. Turning to her, I gestured in Casey's direction.

"Oh, Casey." She bit into a snack, I had just noticed she had in her hand.

"Where did you get that?" I asked her, my mouth watering.

"Oh, dude, there is a whole table full with different types of amazing small little food, they're small but you can get as much as you want!" she exclaimed, filled with excitement. I stared at her, seeing her in a new light.

"Are you a foofan?" I asked hopefully.

"Fuck yes, if by foofan, you mean a food fan!" she cried, stuffing her face with the rest of her snack.

"Nice. Now, lead me to that table, I'm starving." She nodded and gestured for me to follow her.

We spent the next three hours stuffing our faces with every different snack that they had on the table and laughing at the poor bastards whose wives were milking them for everything they were worth. The yacht was filled with middle aged couples who were clearly bored with each other.

We were currently playing a game of reciting what we thought the couples were saying to each other. This had been going on for quite some time and I had to admit it was fun.

"Well maybe if you'd let me stuff Mr. Gigglesworth up the back entrance, I would be okay with you licking in between my toes," Nissa spoke for one of the ladies standing at the other end of yacht, who seemed to be in a heated conversation with her husband.

"I told you, Earl already dipped in the back hole and it hurts too much," I answered for the man and we both laughed.

"Okay, fine, how about you let me try with my finger?" Nissa replied with a snort and I chuckled.

"I don't know...maybe if you let me dress up like a sexy nurse, I'll reconsider," I answered, making Nissa giggle with a snort. I shook my head with a smile.

"Ryder, there's Casey and Drake." Following her gaze, I stood up and gestured for her to do the same, quickly ducking out of view.

"What are you doing now?" Nissa asked, rolling her eyes. I grabbed her by the arm and pulled her out view and behind a potted plant, when she stood up.

"Casey can't see us," I told her, enunciating every word, making it perfectly clear. She gave me a look that made it clear that she thought I was an idiot and I tried not to loose my patience.

"And why not?" she asked, cocking a hand on her hip, while raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, I don't know, maybe because if she sees us, she'll know we were spying on her and she'll get mad? Have you seen that girl when she's angry?" I whisper-hissed. Her eyes widened when the realization hit her and she nodded.

"Okay, I get ya'. Casey scares the living crap out of you," she laughed softly, slapping her arms to her stomach.

"No, she doesn't," I argued, making her laugh harder. Placing my index finger to my lips, I shushed her with a glare.

"Ryder Cavanugh, big man on campus, known for not being afraid of anything, is scared shitless of an angry Casey, ha! Priceless!" she laughed at her own little monologue, shaking her head with amusement.

"I don't understand why Casey likes you, you're a menace! A menace, I tell you!"

She laughed, throwing her hands up. "It's not my fault you tuck your wiener in between your legs just at the mere thought of Casey's wrath."

"Oh, so you're gonna tell me that her wrath has never scared you?" Her eyes got a hint of horror as she looked away, her grin falling.

"Once. I mad her mad once. I woke her up and she was like the devil, man, it was horrible." She shuddered.

"At first I thought it was funny. Until she gave me a nurple and kneed me in the balls. It really hurt. I can still feel my balls shrinking." My hands went down to protect my manhood, subconsciously.

Nissa's loud laugh penetrated through my thoughts and I turned to her with wide eyes, clamping a hand over her mouth. "What the hell?"

"You're such a pussy. Casey is not scary, like at all. I saw her try to scare away a dog once; the dog literally stopped barking, gave her a bored look and walked away." She grinned cheekily, her eyes brimming with humor.

"I don't like you." I folded my arms over my chest defensively.

"Oh, honey, I'm an acquired taste. Only the finest can appreciate me." She gave me a once-over with a smirk and my jaw dropped open as she walked past me.

"Hey, I will have you know, I am the finest of the finest!" I replied to her retracting back.

The audacity of these women.
