《Blood Red (Daredevil FF)》Wake Up

"Matt!" I shouted while searching him. Everything that was at the fun fair was into shatters and some stuff was burning. I heard some children crying but I didn't care about them at the moment. I just wanted to find Matthew.
I stepped over some debris and there is saw him. He as laying on the ground and his nose was bleeding. I ran to him and kneeled down beside him. He was breathing fitfully but except for this he didn't move. I shook him because I hoped I could wake him up.
"Wake up, Matt." I whispered desperate. In the next moment he suddenly grabbed my arm and opened his eyes quickly while taking a deep breath which made me sigh with relief.
"I'm okay. Go and help the other people." He said quietly and slowly he sat up.
I shook my head but as I realized he wouldn't see it I answered: "I won't leave you alone."
Matt didn't answer. He just groaned quiet and got up from the ground. I immediately got up and helped him because I was worried that he could break down.
Both of us were standing now and we wanted to look after the other people who were at the fun fair, but suddenly the wall advertising panels on the buildings around us started to flicker. Then a video started playing. It was possible to see a white wall with the shadow of a man on it.
"Welcome to Hell's Kitchen - where the devil is real and the ground is burning by now." There was a short break and everyone looked at the screens. Then the man continued talking: "The devil took my father's life and I am going to kill him for this. If you don't want more of your beloved one's to die then bring the man with the black mask to the Central Park tomorrow at midnight - otherwise I am going to keep putting bombs anywhere in Hell's kitchen and do this for so long till everyone is dead."

After this the advertising panels turned black and it was silent till it was possible to hear the siren of the ambulance and the fire brigade. I looked at Matthew and realized he was looking totally confused and desperate. I tried to talk with him but he didn't answer. He moved a hand through his hair, sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. As he opened his eyes again, some paramedics rushed over to us asking if we are okay.
After they quickly checked on us they left again and I looked at Matt.
"Let's go home." He said and started walking.
I looked at him and then I started walking as well. I jogged a few meters to him so we were walking beside each other. I realized that he wasn't holding his blind man's stick but still he didn't step on any debris which actually was quite complicated to me. I wanted to ask him how he was able to do this without seeing anything but he was walking really fast so I had trouble to keep up with him without running.
We arrived at the apartment building we are living in and walked upstairs to the second storey. Matt unlocked the door to his flat and wanted to walk inside but I caught hold of his arm.
"Why don't you need your stick?"
"I know this city like the back of my hand. I know where I am going."
"Don't lie to me. You can't know how you don't step on any debris without seeing where they are laying."
He said it was just luck and with that he walked in his flat.
I looked at the door of his flat and thought about knocking and asking him again but I shook my head a bit and walked in my flat.

On the next day I was watching TV and on nearly every channel they were talking about the man with the mask. My opinion on this topic was twisted. On the one hand side I thought that this man has a right to live just like everyone else but on the other side he's a murderer and there would be even more people to die because of one person if he wouldn't go to the Central Park. I wouldn't do anything about this. I'd just wait and hope that nothing happens to me.
My phone suddenly started ringing. I took it and looked at the caller ID - Foggy was calling. I picked up and he asked if I know where Matt is because apparently he didn't show up at their office today, but I didn't meet up with him so I told Foggy that I haven't seen him yet. After he hung up I put my phone away and walked out of my flat. I knocked on Matt's door but he didn't open up and it wasn't possible to hear anything from the inside so he obviously wasn't at home.
I wanted to go back in my flat and opened the door but then I heard someone walking up the stairs. Turning around I saw Matt. I greeted him and asked why he hadn't been at work today. He told me he didn't feel good but since he hadn't been at home until now I started to wonder if this is even the truth or not.
He smiled at me with one of his incredible cute smiles which immediately let me forget my doubts. Then he opened the door to his flat and walked inside while saying bye to me.
After he had closed his door all my doubts came back but now it was too late to ask him if he really didn't feel good. Anyways, the only thing I can do is to hope that he doesn't do something stupid.

Galactic Internet: System Initializing Book 1
The Galactic Internet is a system takeover LitRPG with two MC's. It's gritty and dark at times, so I'd like to start with a brief warning. The story was made for adults, and as such contains some cursing, potentially traumatizing violence, gore, indentured servitudes. There is no sexually explicit material in the first book. However, there is nudity and sexual interactions aren't out of the scope of possibilities for later in the story. The first book is almost exclusively trying to figure out how the game works and trying to stay alive. It is a very open system that I've implemented. Expect to see anything from androids and aliens, to goblins and trolls.
