i let alex take my hand and catch up with the others.
"where are we going first guys?" i heard alex say as we all arrived in front of the convention center.
"uhh, good question." aksel responded.
"i was thinking we could just walk around and check out some of the panels." ani chimed in.
everyone agreed and we all headed inside. this all seemed like such a dream. i never would've thought that id be going to vidcon, let alone with my favorite people. we all walked around together and began to check out some of the panels and events they had going on.
-timeskip to a little later-
i was a little occupied checking out a panel as i heard an unfamiliar voice talking, so i looked over to see who it was. a couple fans started to talk with the rest of the group, and i went back to looking at the panel.
"and who's that?" i heard one of the voices say, which grabbed my attention.
"why are you holding her hand, alex?" another one of them added.
i looked down at alex's hand and noticed our fingers were still laced together, holding onto each others hands.
he immediately released his hand from mine as i looked up at him, expecting a good answer. i moved my glance over to the rest of the group, seeing them a little confused.
"why are you holding her hand, alex?"
i knew i was still holding y/n's hand, but i didnt wanna let go.
i let her hand out of my grip and then laughed, "she kept getting lost like a stupid boomer." i lied, hearing the fans laugh as i think they bought it, but who knows, maybe they didnt.
i took pictures with them and then smiled as they left. i turned my attention back to y/n, but the rest of the group turned their attention to me.

"you guys can't be doing that, unless you want rumors and exposure, alex." ani said, "i don't know whats going on between you two, but just be careful." she added, sounding a little concerned for us.
i nodded, "yeah, ani. i know, i just forgot i was even holding her hand, okay? i was just leading her to catch up with us and didnt even notice." i said, lying again.
i really need to stop lying.
or being stupid.
ani nodded, and the rest of the group started to walk around again.
i took y/n's hand and immediately led her over to a little private place in the venue, hoping nobody was watching.
"you forgot you were holding my hand? how does someone just forget about human contact?" she said as soon as we were in private.
i stepped a little closer to her, looking in her eyes as she spoke.
"please don't be mad, cariño. i just had to cover up for it. i swear, if nobody said anything, i would've held on." i said, taking her hands in mine.
"really..? alex, i.. we just met." she said, which made my growing smile falter.
"i know, i know. and this is so rare for me, so so rare. but its like i feel something between us, and i don't wanna abandon it." i told her, my voice soft as i spoke to the girl in front of me, gazing into her deep y/e/c eyes.
"do you, really?" she said, shaking her head in disbelief. "this seems too good to be true." she added.
"well, please, believe me. I'm not lying." i told her, biting at my lip anxiously.
"i do, alex. i do." she reassured me as i noticed a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

"good, because it would really suck if you didnt." i said with a small laugh, caressing her fragile hands with my thumbs. "now, lets go back before anything seems suspicious." i added, letting go of her hands. i hated doing that. i wanted to have her in my arms and not let go - but i couldn't do that now.
we spent our first day at vidcon flirting, laughing, teasing, and holding each others hands or hugging each other whenever we could.
we all had dinner and then made our way back to the hotel as we all said goodnight to one another, and y/n and i went back to the room we shared.
"so, where do you wanna sleep tonight?" i asked her, looking back to her once we got in our room.
"well, i don't want you sleeping on that weird and uncomfy sofa thing, so uhh. how about we just share the bed? its not a big deal right?" she asked, i noticed the nervousness in her voice.
"why didnt i think of that?" i laughed, "yeah, thats totally fine." i added.
"alright, well I'm gonna shower and change and stuff so don't come in, creep." she joked.
i put my hands up in defense, "what do you mean, creep??" i laughed with her, smiling as she went into the bathroom to shower.
i got into the shower, letting the water run against me as i thought about my day, and how eventful it was. i honestly would have never thought id be in this situation now, but I'm not complaining. not one bit.
i got out of the shower as i was done, drying my hair and taking off my makeup, and then putting on a pair of shorts as i searched for my sweatshirt. i found one on the floor, which i assumed was alex's, since i didnt recognize it.
i laughed a little and put it on, and then went out of the bathroom as i was done.
"hey, y/n. g-" he said, stopping in his sentence as he saw me.
"is that my fucking sweatshirt?" he asked with a laugh. i nodded and laughed back with him,
"yeah, you bet it is." i replied and got into the bed and under the sheets next to him. "can we watch a movie or something?" i asked as i looked over at him as he nodded.
i noticed he changed into some sweats and a different hoodie. i don't know how he managed to look so cute in everything.
"yeah, of course." he replied and picked out a movie. i started getting sleepy as we watched the movie, cuddling up to him as i felt him put his arm around me to pull me close, and i wrapped my arms around him.
"goodnight, hermosa. sweet dreams." i heard alex whisper as i drifted off, feeling a kiss on the top of my head.
