The scene, which is in italic, is the past Advin remembers as he explains the story about his family to Jasmine.

Both Advin and Jasmine rest in his bedroom lying on the bed talking quietly to each other and making up for lost time. They both talk about all of their feelings, fears and secrets they never thought they would be able to share.

Jasmine cannot help the smile that shines on her face as she listens to his tales with Lex when he was away from the pack while she shares how she spent the time she was away from the pack for a week.

They both surround themselves with the cozy atmosphere they create, as if they are in a cocoon they never want to get out of, ever.

"Advin, can I ask you something personal?" Jasmine asks, as they just stay cooped up in his room in each other's arm enjoying the moment

"Hmm...go ahead, ask anything you want baby, there is nothing withheld between us from now on" he hums enjoying there alone time

"What...what happened before I even arrived here?" she hesitates

"What do you mean?" Advin asks not understanding what she is asking

"I heard there was an attack on this pack and something bad had happened that's why Ariel had to leave, so" she clears hoping she did not upset him or crossed any line

"Oh" is all Advin says surprised, as he did not think she would ask that

"We never talk about that day in here actually, it's kind of a scared thing in here" Advin rubs the back of his neck not knowing how to explain it all

"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it. It's alright" Jasmine jumps in not wanting to force him to doing anything

"No, it's okay. I did not know you wanted to hear about it, but guess it is high time we two talk about this, you shared your past and it is now my turn...

Ma and dad they get upset remembering that day, that is why, I never spoke to them about it, as for Ariel she pretends that day does not even exist...

That was the day I vowed, I'll try hard to be a better Alpha, strong and fearsome" Advin chuckles awkwardly before he looks at his mate

Jasmine kisses his forehead and holds his hands as she puts her head on his shoulder giving him her support, which he is grateful for right about now.

"It happened two years before you came, I was about thirteen years old at that time. Ariel was around six, mom was pregnant with our little sister...

She was going to give birth any day and dad was over protective about her at the time, juggling between his duties and making his time for mom and us. We were all so happy about someone new coming into our life...

That was the worst day of our life, mom had been in labor for hours she was in so much pain and loosing a lot of blood...

Dad wanted us away from the pack house said we should not be there as the smell of blood was strong and he did not want us to be in there in case something bad happened...

Like loosing mom, we all were worried for her, uncle Matt said dad will have to choose between mom and our little sister" Advin stops his voice thick with emotions as he remembers that day

"Ad, you can see she has lost a lot of blood, I don't think we can save both of them. It's either Scar or your daughter" Matt tells him the news sadly as he watches his brother

"What...but" Adrian chokes down as he doesn't know what to even think

They have been waiting on their baby girl ever since they knew Scar was pregnant and now, looking at his mate who was having a hard time breathing he does not know what to do.

Walking towards where Scar is laying Adrian holds her hands.

"I'm so sorry, honey" he whispers kissing her forehead

"Save our baby, Rain" Scar cries but Ad shakes his head

"I can't, I can't live without you Scar" he cries as he can't imagine his life without her

"No, you can't she has a right to be here" Scar protests knowing what his decision was

"We already have two, we don't need more and I will let you have as many as you want except this one, please" Adrian begs being selfish for once in his life as he can't let his Scar die knowing he can save her even if the sacrifice is hard to make

"No, no Rain don't, please" Scar cries holding his hands tightly before Adrian detach himself away from her

"Matt, save Scar" he finalizes ignoring Scar's pleas

"Dad" Adrian's son Advin calls as he stands in the door hearing his mother cry

"We had to choose between your mom and sister" Adrian informs not wanting to hide anything from his son who looks at his father wide eyed and scared

"I'm sorry buddy, I can't let your mom die on me" he whispers kneeling in front of his son

"But you will let the baby go?" he asks in disbelief to his father

"I..." Adrian stops not knowing what to say, as he knows he will regret it for the rest of his life

"Daddy" little Ariel springs up into Adrian's arms happily before frowning as she hears her mother's whimpers

"Mommy?" she asks pointing at the door while Adrian looks a his son

"Advin, take your sister with you to Warren's house, I will come to pick you up once your mother is all well" he orders the boy who cannot stop staring at the door behind which their mother lies

"She will be alright yes?" he asks scared for the outcome

"Yes, I will make sure now go" Adrian commands him

Advin nods before clutching his sister's hand and walking away from their home.

"Adie, where are we going? Why was mommy crying?" she asks as they walk out of the house

"I don't know Ariel" he answers walking in daze

As they walk out of their home, Advin is in such a daze worried for his mother's health as well as mourning for his unborn sister. In his daze, he does not check on his surrounding and before he knows it, someone hits him hard on the head and he falls down unconscious just as he hears his little sister scream.

"I'm sorry" Matt pats Adrian on his back as he let him hold the child in his arms

Guilt eats at him as he watches the bundle in his arms, forcing his emotions down he lightly kisses her forehead apologizing to her.

"Rain" Scar's weak voice startles him a bit before he walks towards her with their baby girl

"She is beautiful, has your hair" Scar speaks, as she cannot hold the tears that flow down her cheeks holding the baby

Adrian bites his inner cheeks as he feels the rush of emotions burning inside him but for his wife he needs to be strong as he holds his tears back.

"I wonder what her eye color is" Scar asks but a sob escapes from her as they both know they will never find out

"Alpha" Warren's voice interrupts their moment

"Yes" Adrian asks clearing his throat

"We have prepared for the ceremony" he informs Adrian as he along with all the pack can feel the pain their Alpha's are going through with their pack bond

Adrian nods before taking the baby away from Scar's arm as she once again fights and protests him but ignoring her he takes the baby away.

"Rain please, no" Scar cries wanting her child back

Seeing her so broken Ad cannot take a step away so he stops before handing the baby to Alice before going to console his wife.

Matt prepares the syringe he had ready just in case Scar was inconsolable and nods towards Adrian for permission before he injects it into her arms

"Everything will be alright" he whispers in her ear before kissing her temple lightly just as she falls into a deep slumber so he gets up

But when he goes to take his daughter from Alice's arm someone comes running into the room.

"We are under attack" one of his beta shouts as he holds a bloodied Advin in his arms

"Advin" Adrian shouts as he pats his son's cheek lightly

"I will handle him go" Matt shouts snapping Adrian from his daze seeing his son all bloodied

Adrian rushes out of the room asking some of his warrior to guard Scar's room while he gets out of there. Opening his pack bond, he tries to connect to them

"Josh gather all the kids and women and take them to the bunker, Robbie I want a report on the area you are in...

Dave guard the gates along with the warriors, Warren back Robbie up and report to me everything" he orders everyone through his link before he calls Dante for back up

In all the chaos on going, Alice does not know what to do with the bundle in her arms so she walks out of the room to take her to the place they had prepared to bury her.

As soon as she reaches the place, she stops seeing a sight she wished she never had to.

"Ariel" she whispers before leaving the child on the ground and running to rescue the girl

"You son of a bitch" Alice shouts as she pushes the man above Ariel off

She pulls out the dagger from her waist and runs towards the guy in full force as she attacks him. Thomas grins wiping the sweat off his brow before easily tackling the woman in front of him.

However, she is swift as she lands a high kick to his head, he curses holding his head before he bares his teeth at her.

Alice seeing her chance tries to shift in a hurry as she knows she isn't strong enough to kill him, just as she goes to shift Thomas with his speed grabs the wolf's neck and with a roar snaps Alice's neck.

Warren stumbles back, as he feels a sharp pain in his heart, clutching it he howls in pain as he feels his mate bond disappear.

Seeing his friend in so much pain Adrian stops just as he kicks one of the vampires off him and helps his friend up but he keeps falling down as if his reason for living was gone.

"Warren what is it?" Adrian checks through his bond to feel the pain and heart break from his friend

Cursing, he commands Warren to shift back as he carries his friend all the while trying to fight off the vampires that have attacked their pack.

Adrian stumbles as a vampire attacks him from the back, he lets Warren's body down before turning to see the newling grinning at him.

With a roar Adrian let loose as he attacks the vampire, the vampire confident he could take on an Alpha pulls out his talons. But Adrian with his experience on the battle field with a blink of his eyes holds the vampires neck and snaps it as blood splatters all over his body.

As the blood touches his face and body, something snaps inside Adrian before he goes on a bloody rampage forgetting everything and just allowing his sorrow and pain to take over his mind and body.

All of the warrior's steps aside as their Alpha kill every one of the attackers with his bare hands covered in blood from head to toe. They do not even know how to stop him and dread to try.

Adrian goes mad as the smell of blood is all he can sense, he looks around on the ground seeing nothing but bodies of those who he killed before his eyes lands on Warren.

As if someone splashed a bucket of ice-cold water on him, Adrian rushes to his friend's side to check on him.

"Someone, take him to Matt" he shouts startling his men who carry Warren away

"I want each and every one of them dead, not a single blood suckers sets their foot out of here alive" Adrian demands as they all howl and search for those bastards

Thomas grins as the wolf lies on the ground unmoving before his eyes lands on the red haired girl he just ravished.

"That will teach your father a lesson" he smirks as he goes to walk away but stops as his eyes scan the area and lands on something

Kneeling on the ground, he touches the white cloth to find a baby inside it with narrowed eyes.

"What the hell?" he whispers

"Stay away from her" a voice makes him stop

Turning around he finds a teenage boy standing with determination in his eyes.

"And who might you be?" Thomas asks bored

"Henry" the boys shouts before he looks around with a pained expression seeing both Ariel as well as the wolf

"Hmm...Henry, wait you must be Romano's boy aren't you the adopted one" Thomas grins in delight

The boy puffs his chest out proudly as Thomas states Rom's name making Thomas scoffs.

"Well, I guess Rom would definitely hate me if I didn't leave any departing gift for him" Thomas murmurs before with his speed he goes to stand in front of the boy

Henry gets startled with the speed that he moved and stands still as he does not know what else to do but unfortunately for him Thomas does.

With an evil gleam in his eyes, Thomas sinks his teeth into the boy's neck and sucks the life out of him.

"Henry" someone's shout stops Thomas

He rolls his eyes as he turns around to see a boy again a stupid teenager.

"Geez, I can't just stand here the whole night and wait for everyone to come meet me one by one" Thomas sighs watching the guy but before he could react the boy attacks him

"Fuck" Thomas curses as he touches the side of his cheek, as the blood seeps out of it

He glares at the boy in awe, as even if the boy is too young he was a good fighter. He smirks as he watches the boy closely

"Nice shot, I will give you that much, after all you are the son of the great Dante" Thomas laughs before he has the same evil gleam

He turns to look at the baby wrapped in the cloth and then back at the boy as they both in their full speed crash into each other.

Devilin shouts, as his arm-twists while Thomas curses as the boy succeed on tearing Thomas's hand away from him.

However, before Devilin gets to attack the man he moves and push the dagger Alice had into Devilin's injured arm.

Thomas enjoys the sound of the boy's cry as he cuts the boy's wrist deeply and then stabs the boy's leg before he pushes Devilin away.

"It was nice meeting you Dante's boy, I look forward to meet you again in the future when you grow up" Thomas shouts as he disappears from sight.

Dante sweeps the last of the vampire's body off the ground as he looks at the sad face of the warriors of the pack who lost their loved ones.

"Dante" Adrian's voice booms

"What" he asks in worry walking towards his friend

"Ariel, she...she has gone missing. In everything I forgot" he chokes

Dante feels a chill in his body as soon as he hears it and both of them turn to go in search of the girl but stop as they see Devilin walking towards the house carrying the girl.

"Dev" Dante whispers asks but Devilin just walks inside the house quietly taking her to the doctor

Adrian and Dante both follow the boy to the room where he had settled her, they both halt in their steps as he uncovers Ariel's body all bloodied and bruised.

"I found them in the grave yard, Henry and a wolf's body lies in there" he informs them quietly

"Who" Adrian asks full rage

"Thomas" Dante hisses as his son throws the man's image through their bond

Both Advin and Jasmine stay silent as he finishes his story, lost in their own thoughts. Jasmine holds Advin's hand tightly bringing him back from his far away look.

"Dad was a mess after that day; he blamed himself for everything, our little sister's death, Ariel's trauma as well as for the loss of the members of our pack...

If it was not for mom, I do not think dad would have been with us, he was on the verge of going rogue, he kept himself locked in his office just staring off into space...

No talking or eating just sitting there, mom talked and threatened him out of it. Because he blamed himself for everything he let Ariel go live with uncle Dante, she could not stand anyone's touch at all...

She would scream and scream until she lost consciousness whenever anyone got near her. It was only Devilin who worked his magic and was able to break her shell, she didn't talk for a whole year just kept screaming or shouting whenever someone touched or came near her...

We brought her back once, you know, when we thought she was getting better, it was a mistake. She jumped from her room's window in a panic and broke her leg, dad shifted her back to Devilin's house the next day and ever since, she has been staying there...

Things went back to normal for a bit, when mom gave birth to the twins, they are dad's salvation. He loves them more than life itself, I mean he loves me and Ariel both but the twins it's as if they gave dad a reason to live I think and then you came...

I think they see their little girl they lost in you, he is very protective of you, I guess when he found you that night he saw his daughter in you and wanted to protect you from everything" Advin takes a deep breath as he finishes looking towards her with a sad smile

"I don't know what to say but after this my love and respect for all of you has increased ten fold...

I know you will not admit it but it was not your fault Advin, you were just a kid. Let the past go and don't blame yourself for what wasn't under your control" Jasmine points out as she stares deep into his eyes

"I..." Advin gulps not knowing what to say, as he did not think anyone would know that all these years he has been blaming himself for what happened to Ariel if only he was careful and strong enough.

"The most important thing is you all are here, alive and stronger than before so don't throw all of your hard work away because you can't let go of the past...

What happened is already gone and done; do not let your regrets bind you to the past so much so that you forget to live in your present and get scared of your future...

There is always a new day ahead and I want to be besides you in every step of the way to help you conquer your fears, just let the past go and let me in" she asks as she palms his face

"Thank you, you are the best" is all Advin is able to say as he hugs her to him and takes a deep breathe of her scent

"I know" Jasmine giggles trying to lighten their mood

Advin laughs as he pulls his mate up in his lap suddenly feeling light as if the burden he was carrying for all these years alone is no more

He cannot help but smile, as he knows it was because of his wonderful mate whom he gave nothing but tears but he promises he will never hurt her again and bring only happiness in her life.

Likewise, they spend most of the night with some more talking and sharing things happily that they never shared with anyone.

Next story will be called "Sweet Affection" I will post it when I think it is ready, if that makes any sense hope you all are excited about it :)
