Dante slowly kneels in front of the bodies of two most precious people in his life, he slowly touches Adrian's pulse on the neck hoping it was not true that his friend just did not leave him alone but as he finds nothing, there is a pain in his chest.

Biting on his lip, he does the same with Scar before he slowly closes their eyes that were wide-opened.

"What do we do now?" Ryan asks as he holds Dante's shoulder showing his support they did not just lost their friends but great Alphas and persons, who left marks in each person's life they both met.

"Inform the kids, they need to be here for their parent's funeral" Dante chokes holding onto his tears.

"Where shall we?" Ryan asks even if he winces saying those words.

"Right here, Red...she...loved being here and I am sure Ad...Adrian will love to be with his wife even after" he stops before few of the tears he had held escapes him.

"I will leave you alone," Ryan whispers as he asks the others as well to leave with him.

"How can you leave us Adrian? I have yet to show you my red-haired grandchildren and what about we kicking a few more asses together to prove we are not so old yet?" Dante speaks as he touches his friend's arms while crying.

"And my beautiful, innocent Red, how am I going to survive without you around, without tasting your sweet cookies...

Who will help me irritate Adrian, who will listen to my talks and help me see things? How can you two leave me so soon? I was not done being with both of you, what will I tell your kids, that like before I could not come in time and save you...

Whom am I going to brag things about now? You son of a bitch, Adrian, how could you just let the intruder do this to you?

How dare you get...?" Dante stops, as he cannot talk so he turns back giving in to his tears and crying for the biggest loss of his life.

He tries to control himself before he slowly turns to face his friends. With his power he collects the flowers in the garden before making a bed out of it before he walks towards his friends, he tries to carry Adrian towards the flower bed but stops when he realizes the hold Adrian has on Scar was far too strong which brings a new set of tears from his eyes.

"Bastard, even after death could not let go of Red, huh?" he tries to joke but fails as he sobs like a child hugging both of them.

"I swear I will avenge your death, he will die a nasty death for doing this to you," he vows as he cannot help but keep crying.

"Mom, Dad" Advin's hoarse voice stops Dante before he stares at the boy who looks pale seeing his parents body.

"What...who?" Advin chokes as he stumbles to where they were.

"They were..." Dante stops as he sees Ariel running their way before she starts to scream and sob.

"No, no, no, daddy, oh god no, not you two" Ariel keeps chanting holding on to her parent's bodies while Dante steps away giving them their time to mourn.

The twins join them next but they do not go near the body or cry they just keep staring at the bodies in shock.

Dante walks towards Ariel and pulls her away from the bodies before hugging her, he asks Devon to hold her before he talks with Advin.

"Where's Jasmine?" he softly asks the boy who could not talk for a while before he clears his throat.

"With Blue, when we got the news...Blue, she is too young" Advin turns his face away not wanting to show his tears to anyone, as he has to be strong for his siblings.

"Help me, carry them" Dante requests and Advin's head snaps glaring at him.

"No, don't"

"Just to the flower bed Advin, we will have to say our goodbyes" Dante pats on Advin's shoulder who shakes his head no not believing what he was seeing.

"No, please how can this be"

"We will find out who did this and when we do...but right now you have to pull it all together, you are the head of the family now and..."

"No, I cannot, I will..."

"Listen Advin, Adrian was a warrior, the best we ever had and you are his son, I am sure he never taught you to run away when things are hard...

And these are hard times so man up and help me say our final good bye to your parents as they deserve this, better than this from his family" Dante speaks to the boy who nods his head before he helps to carry both his parents and let them lie on the bed made of flowers.

"What now?" Advin asks as he goes to hold his sister who was a mess.

"Hey, stop crying Air, you know Da hated the tears in your eyes so much" Advin tries to console his sister who cannot help but keep crying clutching his arms.

"Now we wait for Raine to come back to her senses," Dante whispers softly his eyes still on his friends.

"Raine?" Advin speaks as if remembering just now that she was in the house.

"Yes, it seems she knows who did this to your parents and something ticked her off, she wants to kill Devilin" he speaks without any emotions while everyone keeps quiet.

"Running away, mate?" Devilin's teasing words irk Raine before she orders shadow to harm him in anyway but fails.

Devilin has fought with shadow far too many times to know what to expect, what not while his mate just met him, and she does not know how to use it, yet.

He must say he was a bit surprised to see his shadow taking his mate's side then again seeing how that bastard has a greed for powerful blood; he must have gone to her when he got the chance.

Now he must not just be careful that he hurts his mate he has to be careful about dodging his mate's attack, which was not getting weaker instead getting stronger with every attack.

Then again, what can he do when his mate has been taking help of her dragon, who was passing her powers into Raine's body with the help of their bond and if only Devilin can stop that, he will be able to get hold of his mate without worrying about getting hurt himself.

"Mate, where are you heading to?" Devilin asks, seeing her running towards deep in the forest, but why.

"Stop calling me that" she hisses before holding onto her arm in pain.

Just as they, reach a cliff Devilin jumps in front of her at once stopping her movements not understanding why she was holding onto her arms as well heading towards the cliff.

"Why are you bleeding?" he asks going to hold her arm but she jumps away from him.

"Why do you think?" she snaps before she gasps as he tears her shirt to find her bleeding.

He growls as shadow sucks the blood from her making her weak and while he was getting stronger.

"Don't touch me," Raine shouts as she tries to get away from him.

"What did I tell you about shadow, he will kill you if...?" Devilin warns her in frustration seeing how she was not hearing anything he said.

"Stay away from me, I do not need your help or anything" she bites out stepping away from him.

"Raine, don't step away from me" Devilin growls at her in frustration as he was on the last thread of patience with her.

"Why do you care, you left me remember"

"No, I did not, what has gotten into you, why are you talking nonsense and not believing anything I am saying?" he asks pleading with her to, just stop running away.

"I will not listen to you anymore, I will never listen to you any...ah...ah...ahhh" Raine screams as she falls of the cliff.

Both of them were so busy trying to talk that they forgot where they were standing and without knowing Raine steps on a stone stumbling before she falls off the cliff with a scream while Devilin watches her fall wide-eyed.

Just for a second he just stands still forgetting to breathe as his mate falls down before he jumps in action.

Summoning his wings Devilin throws it towards Raine's way, as he knows he will be too late to catch his mate if he jumped in as well. He thanks his quick thinking as his wings goes and attaches itself to Raine's back and flying up along with her.

"Oh fuck" Devilin sighs a breath of relief as he kneels on the grounds thanking god as well his luck for saving his mate's life.

"Now are you ready to listen to me?" he finally asks as she is hanging in the air.

"No" she stubbornly bites out too embarrassed at what happened before she tries to move away from him but his wings does the opposite bringing her back to Devilin who grins.

"Stalker, you can summon the mandrakes as you please even the shadow and dragons but this is mine, he will listen to just me" he cheekily grins wrapping his arms around her waist as she comes down and his wings disappear.

"I hate you"

"I know, but are you good?" he asks checking for any sign of injury and when he finds nothing he sighs in relief.

Seeing how he checks her for any injury pulls her out of her daze and she finally gets her senses back, shaking her head she pulls herself out of Devilin's arms and looks around the cliff.

"I nearly died"

"Yes"

"And you saved me"

"Umm-hmm"

"Why?" she whispers as the marks on her body along with his disappear slowly.

Devilin bites on his wrist before putting it close to her mouth asking her to suck his blood and she does that without much thought and the wounds around her starts to heal.

Shadow slowly sips out of her body and completely vanishes as well, before Devilin hugs her to him, so scared when he heard her scream and saw her fall.

"I am sorry" Raine apologizes as guilt eats her now that her senses are back and she feels horrible for the things she said to him as well as felt a few moments ago.

"What happened?" Devilin asks once again and she shakes her head.

"I...I don't know, I just felt so much hate towards everyone and I...I did not know what to do....

I just had to get away from everyone, I was so angry at everything" she sighs holding him back as a shiver runs down her body.

"Baby, let's talk about it later okay, we need to go back. You parents" Devilin states and at that all the breath leaves Raine's body as she remembers about her parents.

She gasps wide eyes as she stares his way before her eyes fills with tears.

"They..."

"Ssh, I know, come on, it's time" Devilin whispers as he pulls his shirt off before putting it over Raine's head.

He holds his mate and once again, summons his wings before flying away towards the Alpha's house where everyone was waiting on them.

As soon as Devilin lands back on the ground of Alpha's house he along with Raine rush towards her parents. He does not let go of her hands as they run towards the garden where everyone was waiting for them.

Raine hesitates as she steps in the garden to find everyone present staring at her, she can see sorrow in each of their eyes before they once again land on the couple now lying in the flower bed as if they were asleep in each other's arms.

She looks around to find her siblings sharing the same pain as her, while Ariel was a mess, Advin was trying hard not to break down as well while the twins were the worse as they have yet to break down and come out of shock.

Most of all, Dante, who could not just take his eyes off the couple as if he was wishing they would open their eyes and smile at them but everyone knew nothing of sort was going to happen, no more smiles from them.

"Raine" Dante's hoarse voice halts her getting any closer to her parent's body and she stares at Dante.

"Are you back to your self?" he asks her first and when she hesitantly nods he fully turns to face her.

"What happened in here?" he asks next making her shuffle on her feet a bit.

"Dad" Devilin walks forward not wanting to stress his mate anymore but Dante warns his son to step back before once again he asks Raine to talk.

"I was in my room when I heard a howl as if someone was in pain, it sounded terrible and when I walked out to check I saw Warren walk out of the garden area...

I was going to call him but something in his hand caught my attention it was a dagger and he was wiping something like blood on his pants as he walked away...

So, I walked in here to see what he killed to find them like that"

"Why did you not call anyone instantly may be then..."

"I did, no one was in the house, but even if I did try to call for help it was already too late," she whispers guilty for not rushing out of her room sooner or may be if she had shouted or walked out sooner for help then may be.

"Are you sure it was Warren?" Dante asks to be sure and when she nods, he asks what happened to her to which she stays silent for a while before speaking.

"I was going to call someone when he returned back" she stops at once fidgeting a bit.

"And?"

"Well, he said a few things to me and I could not control myself"

"What things?" Dante presses on it as she hesitates.

"Just..."

"What things Raine?" Dante asks her a bit harshly and she jumps a bit startled.

"That Devilin is using me for my powers and everything that you all have been telling me is nothing but lies...

So, I do not run away and that I should call my dragon forth and kill you all to show you how powerful I am" she explains everything as tears roll down her cheeks ashamed of herself for believing lies from the person who killed her parents.

"And you believed him?" it was Devilin's voice that asked her the question making her feel more shameful.

"I..."

"That's why you" Devilin whisper asks before he takes a deep breath and turns to his father.

"Devil, I..." Raine goes to explain as she takes a step towards him.

"Not now" Devilin grits through his teeth as he shakes his head not wanting to hear anything more.

"Devilin please, I..."

"Can you not see we have a funeral to start" his voice leaves no space for argument and she nods her head before stepping away from him feeling lonelier than she ever felt in her life.

"Advin" Dante calls him forward as he asks him to start the ceremony, the garden along with the hall is filled with the pack members who were waiting for their turn to say goodbye to their Alpha.

"I..." Advin starts before he chokes on his words; he clears his throat few times before he tries once again.

"We are here gathered, to say our...our...to give our love to our Alphas, the one who taught us to stay strong no matter what...

To treat others the way you want yourself to be treated...

Any men or women who ever stepped on this land knows well that they have never gone out empty handed, any help they need our father and Alpha provided them...

Ariel walks next towards her parents before; she kneels and kisses both of their cheeks, as a few tears slip from her eyes.

"I love you both," she whispers softly as her sobs leave her mouth.

Devon bows towards the Alphas thanking them for being a part of his life and promising to take a good care of Ariel as he holds his mate in his arms and steps away from them.

One by one, the men and women along with Adrian and Scar's friends whispers their love as well as goodbye and steps back.

The twins refuse to, even go near the body and when Advin tries to pull them to the front, they become hysterical almost attacking everyone who comes near them so everyone leaves them alone both of them huddled at the corner and watching their parents without blinking their eyes.

Dante calls Raine next to walk out and tell her goodbye but the girl just stands still, as she was not ready, she has just found them and she was not ready to say her good bye to them so soon.

It was too soon for her liking and if she says her goodbye, it will be too real as once again, she will be an orphan and that is something she was not ready to accept.

When she does not show any sign of stepping towards her parents Devilin is the one who holds her hand and pulls her along with him to say their goodbye.

"I cannot" Raine whispers as she tries to break his hold on her hand.

"This is your only chance, as come tomorrow morning they will not be around and you can never see them, so come on" Devilin replies softly as he takes her to stand in front of her parents.

He picks her hand up the one, which still had the flower in it, as she did not throw it towards her parents even if everyone did.

"I am not ready"

"No one ever is, come on, we cannot hold the ceremony for too long," he whispers in her ear as he slowly bends down along with her to put the flower on their chest.

"Please Devilin, bring them back," she begs him as she turns and holds on to him as her tears starts to fall.

"Please, anything, do anything and bring them back"

"I cannot"

"Please, there are so many things I have to say to them, I did not even get to say that I love them...

I don't want to say goodbye to them," she sobs clutching on to the front of his shirt while he holds her to him.

"I am sorry love, I wish I had the power to bring them back but I cannot" Devilin whispers as he kisses her forehead before coaxing her to put the flower down and say her goodbye.

Raine sobs as she kisses the flower and puts it on her parents intertwined hand before she herself goes to hug them crying loudly. Devilin lets her cry for a while before he goes to pick her up away from her parents even if he did not want to.

Just as Devilin's hands makes contact to Raine they both hiss as their marks starts to glow at once, once again.

"What the..." everyone in the room gasps in shock seeing all four of them glow brightly.

"Dev...Arghhh...ahhh" Raine screams as the pain was unbearable.

Devilin tries hard to put all of his body weight away from Raine as his knees weakens with the pain that surrounds his body.
