Devilin takes a step back as his mate runs his way at full speed, one she did not have before, he braces himself before dodging her punch having no idea what was happening.

He was on his way back home when he got the message from his father about the incident in the Martin's land, his first reaction was to come directly but he could not as all of the portals were closed while Chris and Gio were shifting the mandrakes through the portal that connects with Drag's land.

Moreover, Crystal along with Dante were looking over trying to keep every portal closed so no one can use it making it difficult to use the portal to hurry towards Raine.

Now that everything was going well shifting those mandrakes to a safe area here, he was having no clue why his mate was so angry and covered in blood.

"Stalker" he calls trying to talk her through whatever insanity has caused her to act in such a way.

"Stop calling me that and stay still" Raine growls as she once again goes to land a punch.

"What happened and what is wrong with you?" he calls trying frantically to dodge all of her attacks as well as worrying that she will hurt herself.

"Dante, we need to hurry to the garden The Alpha's" the man chokes a bit before he continues.

"Someone attacked them," he slowly states and a dread fills around everyone.

Even if Devilin was busy dodging his mate's attack, he hears it loud and clear before suddenly grabbing both of his mate's wrists and caging her with his arms around her as he turns her back to his front.

"Calm down" Devilin hisses thinking the reason for her madness is her parents.

"Who was it?" Dante asks next ignoring Raine for a while, as he cannot seem to move his feet at all.

"We...we don't know" the man states shamelessly.

"Alpha has been stabbed with a dagger in his chest, the same one Raine had when she attacked the cook lady"

At that, all of the men's head snaps her way but Devilin hides his mate away from everyone's gaze.

"No" he refuses to believe any of those accusations.

"Dev, deal with her. Ethan, take a few men and search the area to see if you can find anything...

Rom, search the house and ask anyone who was inside when it happened the rest of you" Dante stops as he pins his eyes on the guards that was supposed to protect their Alpha.

"I will deal with you in a while," he growls threateningly before he rushes inside of the house to check on his friend and the woman he vowed to protect.

"Raine, calm yourself" Devilin tries once again as his voice was getting rough as she was not using control the marks on her body but calling out his own making them a sight to see.

Both of them struggles to take control over each other while forgetting the fact they were creating a beautiful scene to anyone who was around.

"I know you are hurt about your parents but you need to calm the fuck down, mate" Devilin growls angrily at her as it seems any of his talks is going right out of her ear.

"No" Raine shouts in pain as she hears the word and Devilin let go of her thinking he had hurt her.

He goes flying away as she blasts him with her powers surprising him once again.

"You...how dare you," Raine breathes heavily stomping his way in anger.

"What's wrong?" Devilin asks as he dusts his clothes off not understating the reason of her anger towards him.

"How dare you call me your mate, you cheating bastard?" she screams making him narrow his eyes, as he did not like the words coming out of her mouth.

"We are mates"

"No, you lie" she shouts before throwing a powerful ball of water his way out of her hands.

Devilin easily hits it out of his way with his hands as if it was nothing, igniting her rage even more.

Then, she just keeps throwing ball after ball of water his way while he hits it right away from his face drenching him a bit.

"A water ball, mate is that all you got?" Devilin mocks her as his own anger takes the better of him.

"I will kill you"

"I would like to see you try, mate" he snickers before he collects some wind in his hands and throws it her way.

Raine not knowing what to do stands stunned as she has never seen him do anything of such and just as the wind goes to hit her, a barrier is created in front of her made of water protecting her.

"Smart move" Devilin praises her before his attacks becomes lethal to see how much more powerful she was as well as to make her tired.

"Arghhh" Raine screams as she throws some of the mandrakes his way at once.

"Raine" Devilin shouts at the girl in rage as she opens the portal and calls all of the mandrakes out there to attack him.

"Halt" Devilin orders them and all of them stop in their attacks before looking from Raine to Devilin not understanding whom to follow and not.

"No, they are mine" Raine shouts as she orders them to attack him.

"Not while I am alive they are not just yours and I swear Raine whatever this madness that has taken over you it needs to end right this instant" Devilin warns her once again but she hears nothing.

"No, I will not stop at anything now, not till I destroy you all for what you did"

"What is wrong with your Stalker, what happened in there, please baby" Devilin takes a different route to talk with her wanting her to stop all of this idiocy.

"You left me in here, why?" she asks with her arms slumped as he slowly walks her way.

"It was necessary"

"You promised not to go on any missions and not to leave me"

"I know baby, I am sorry. However, you have to understand, I had to go but look now I am back...

So tell me what is wrong, why are you acting in such a way? What happened in there with you and your parents?" Devilin softly asks as he touches her cheek and grazing it lightly so not to spook her.

"My parents?" she asks dazed as if remembering about them now.

"Yes, what happened? You can tell me"

"I...I don't know"

"It's okay" he smiles relived that she was calming down a bit.

"What?"

"No, it's not okay. Don't touch me like this"

"And don't call me by that name, you will lie again" she steps away from him shaking her head.

"About what? You know I have never lied to you," Devilin asks with a frown not knowing where all of this has come from she was fine when he left her but now.

"You have, you always have been lying to me and you all are liars"

"Baby, talk to me, whatever it is I am sure we can talk it all through. Just don't pull away, come on, come here," he requests as he opens his arms for her but Raine was far to gone to listen to anything he has to say.

"You don't love me, no one does. You all want my powers and to use me and then abandon me like before" the echoes within her, her worst fear.

"Bollocks, bloody hell babe, you know it's not true. I love you, everyone does, what is wrong with you, why are you talking such nonsense...

"I don't know, I really don't know" she starts to cry clutching her head, as she cannot think straight.

"Listen to me" Devilin starts but stops as she once again blasts him with her powers making him fly away from her.

"Stop talking" she screams at the top of her lungs which leaves Devilin stunned as the marks around her glows even stronger and it turns into black instead of the beautiful red it was before.

"Stalker" Devilin whispers not believing his eyes at what he sees.

"I don't even know what to believe anymore, if you did not know I was the last source to the dragons would you have showed up?

If no one knew I am the key, would any one of you seek me, would my parents welcome me back after throwing me away twice...

If I were just an orphan working for the HP, would you have accepted me? If I was a tech-girl, only Raine would you have loved me...

All the while Devilin listens to his mate sprawled on the ground staring at the dark sky, he says nothing as he lets his mate put her heart out in front of him, one she never did before.

As she always holds back but not tonight, tonight she had put it all out in front of him, baring her soul and he is happy she did as now he knows her, truly knows her through her eyes.

Now, he does not have to feel guilty for invading her life the way he saw through Miracle, tonight he saw it with his mate's eyes. Even if it was such a sad portrait, he knows she was happy at her life once.

Slowly he gets up from the ground, dusting off his clothes while he stares at his mate who stands unsure before he smiles at her in assurance.

"Send the mandrakes back; you want to kill me right? Let's do that" he grins while he opens the portal for them to leave waiting for his mate's next move who nods slowly before the mandrakes disappear.

"Now, I see not just the mandrakes but you have successfully taken control of my shadow as well" he points out as he can still see a few remains of the black smoke around her body.

"Let's see what you have got mate, let's see how far will you go tonight" he grins before he jumps to attack on her without a warning.
