"How far are we?" Devilin asks as he comes to a stop in some abandoned area out from any of the pack lands.

"I sense it in here strong, master but I cannot pinpoint her exact location" the shadow replies as he looms around Devilin.

Devilin grabs the shadow in his hand as he hisses.

"If you don't want to die then you better find her," he warns the shadow who nods his head as he keeps staring at the veins in Devilin's neck and gulps before moving around the area.

Devilin looks around the area trying to inspect it, as he knows there was something about this place it looked familiar.

He walks around the area to check on its surroundings when he senses it; this was the same place, Miracle kept taking him.

"Master this way," Shadow calls at the exact time Devilin senses it as well.

Both of them walk towards the place Raine probably was, Devilin still was not sure if the shadow could track her as this was the very first time he was using it.

The last time, when he succeeded in controlling the shadow, his father told him that they depend on the blood of them to survive and so he just used it to check if it can locate his mate who has his blood running within her, making her just like them.

He smells the area for any dangers as he keeps walking in high alert knowing well this has been the place Thomas was hiding all his life and Devilin does not want to act rashly to end up trapped.

He stops alert, as he smells them before they walk out of the trees hissing his way in warning. Devilin readies himself, for the attack to come but it does not instead the mandrakes look around at each other before kneeling in front of him.

"Master" the all speak at once and he smirks as he realizes that they can sense who he was to them.

"Raine" he says to them before they get up and take them towards where his mate was all wrapped up in Thomas's arms while his shadow was looming over her, he sees Red.

Without so much as a thought he pounces on the bastard he has been hunting his entire life, he pulls his hand up and punches the man who goes flying startled away from his mate.

"Touch her again and I will fucking end you, right now" he threatens as the man glares his way while his mate tries to dust off the shadow who has surrounded himself around her.

"Get off of me, you pervert," she shouts trying to get away from the smoke coming off her body.

"Shadow back down" Devilin's commands make the smoke back away from her body and gather.

"Devilin, I see you found me," Thomas asks as he slowly gets up from the ground.

"The right statement would be he punched you" Raine snickers before she looks around as if she just did not irk him.

"Last time I let you go but not this time" Thomas grins as he spits some blood.

"You have to catch me first for that" Devilin grins as he takes hold of Raine and disappears inside one of the portals leaving Thomas and mandrakes behind.

"Fuck" Thomas curses as he tries to run inside the portal to follow them but fails as it shuts down.

"What the fuck are you staring at, how did he even get in here?" Thomas shouts in rage as he turns to face the mandrakes that were just standing there.

"You, did I not warn you," Thomas shouts as he raises his hand to hit one of them but a hand stops him.

"We no follow you," the mandrake hisses as he throws Thomas's hand away.

"What did you just say?" Thomas asks before backing away as the mandrakes hiss loudly his way before they attack.

Thomas jumps away from the venom one of them throws his way as he looks around him in disbelief, the mandrakes he had control over all these years were not attacking him. With a growl he let go of his wild side killing each of them at once, he shakes his head as he looks around to find them lying dead before he stares up at the sky.

"The next time I get hold of you Miracle, not even your mate can take you away from me," he vows cleaning his bloody hands on his clothes as he walks towards his house.

"Let go of me, you mate changing pervert" Raine shouts as she tries to get away from Devilin.

"Adriana, listen..."

"I do not want to listen to anything you have to say, I think I have heard enough from you, so get out of my sight before I fart on you" she warns as she tries to move away from the hold he has on her.

Devilin sighs before he walks to stand in front of his mate and watches her.

"What kind of sorcery is it?" she asks seeing how he was standing in front of her yet he had held her captured.

"Actually, your clothes are stuck in one of the bushes" he points out trying not to laugh as she slowly turns and pulls her shirt out of the bush before clearing her throat and turning around.

"Whose fault is it anyway? Don't you dare blame it on our stars as you were the one pulled me in to whatever this place is?" she snaps as she looks around to think where she should walk off to.

"That way" Devilin grins as he points the way out to her and she huffs before taking the opposite route.

Raine keeps walking and walking before she frowns seeing her mate on her next turn.

"What are you doing here and how did you even get here so fast?" she asks him irritated.

"Actually you have been walking round and round I have not moved an inch" he smiles and she looses her shit.

"Yes, what about it? I have never doubted who my father was" he frowns answering her and Raine face palms.

"It's an insult take it" she groans.

"Oh, oh, like that" he chuckles and she face palms once again.

"What are you doing here Devilin, don't you have a mate to look after?" she asks making him frown.

"But I am with my mate" he states straight.

"Oh, people please give a round of applause now he thinks I am his mate after rejecting me again and again" she scoffs clapping her hands in sarcasm.

Devilin gulps as his mate stares his way, he does not know what to do now, before this moment the only thing running in his head was finding his mate and here they were so close yet it seems they had millions of miles between them.

It was not as easy as he thought; it was not what he expected, as he has no clue what he should do next. He could just flick her on her forehead to give me all of the past memories and stop the confusion or hurt that she feels and make everything easy between them.

Raine gasps into the kiss as a flame burns into her body and she feels warm from within, her eyes widen when she realizes both of them are glowing and she sighs in relief when he nibbles on her lower lip before breaking all of her boundaries as his tongue enters her mouth.

Slowly, he touches her tongue as if scared and it is his turn to get surprised as she lightly bites on his tongue, which makes him growl, and he pulls her closer to him as if it was even possible.

Devilin smiles in to the kiss as his mate jumps at once, wraps her legs around his waist, making him stumble a bit, and then falls down on the ground with his mate landing in his lap still, the kiss is not broken.

Softly he tries to break the kiss but a groan of protest from her stops him from doing so, so he just let her kiss him more as even if he kissed her first it was she who was controlling their kiss.

"Our very first kiss" Raine sighs in satisfaction as she breaks their kiss and smiles his way.
