Dante taps his fingers on the table as he listens to what Enzo had to say, he silently stays in his seat without a word.

When Enzo finishes explaining everything to the men in the room, everyone stares back at him but he just keeps quiet silently tapping on the table.

"It's not Ariel" he speaks which brings a frown on men around the table.

"What?" Ethan asks so Dante can speak more clearly.

"The marks disappeared from Scar's body the moment the mandrakes found their new master...

Ariel somehow was able to open the door of that part of portal even I do not have access to still there is no sign of any marks on her body...

So...who else?" Dante states clearly for them to hear it out.

"What about Adrian, does he still have his marks?" Enzo asks as this is the first time he was hearing about it.

"Adrian has his intact, not even an inch of those marks moved but it is completely whipped off Scar's body" Dante replies still deep in his thoughts to solve the mystery of it all.

"Just because the marks has gone from Scar's does not mean it has to appear on Ariel's body may be..."

"No, she had carried those marks from the moment Oliver made her and Adrian the guardian as well the protector to the new master, we all knew that one day someone will come to claim those mandrakes" Dante speaks interrupting Ryan.

"Yes, but we also know that Scar is the only link or shall we say the bloodline of Oliver, so whoever this new master is will definitely be Scar's and Adrian's child...

Ariel, did open the portal, she did hold the power and even Thomas said her blood can heal Engel so, there are still possibilities" Ryan argues trying to make him see the point but even before he finishes Dante starts to shake his head in denial.

Pretending to be Eric for such a long time why would he leave Ariel just like that without a fight, why not take her away with him, there is still so much that we are missing" he speaks getting up from his seat and now pacing in frustration.

"Thomas did say Ariel's blood will cure Engel why don't we test it"

"No, it's a bad idea, what if it was a trap and Engel's condition goes worse?" Ethan denies doing so but Ryan holds his hands up.

"Hear me out first, we don't have to put Ariel's blood directly into Engel body, we can test it on the bloods separately by taking it out from them you know, to see the reaction"

"We can do that, that way no harm will come to Engel as well we will know the possibilities," Enzo agrees to it before taking out his phone to call UT.

"Oh before I forgot, did you get hold on Raine?" Ethan asks as he walks out along with Dante.

"Yes, she was found unconscious near the woods; one of the men took her to the hospital for check up"

"You are going to check on her?" Ethan asks as he stands next to Dante's car.

"No, I will go tomorrow, it's late and I have few things to check on before checking on her...

Hopefully when she awakes we will know more on Thomas, what he did as seeing all of the CCTV's were damaged for us to collect any evidence or have any clue" Dante informs before he drives off.

"What are you doing?" Gio asks as he opens the door of the room where his mate was sleeping.

A yelp escapes Raine's mouth as she hears his voice and turns around to face the man she smiles sheepishly before walking away from Engel's bed.

"Sorry, I heard she was unwell so came to visit" she replies which brings a frown on Gio's face.

"May I know who you are?" Gio asks as he does not remember meeting the girl ever.

"Oh, sorry stupid of me...Hi, my name is Raine" she smiles waving a little.

"Raine?" Gio asks trying to remember the name and coming up with nothing.

Gio frowns a bit as he watches the girl leave before he pulls the chair next to his mate's bed and takes a seat.

If the blood doesn't show any negative signs then I think we just found a solution to Engel's disease," UT happily informs them.

Gio walks towards his sister and engulfs her tightly as he cannot explain how relieved he was feeling.

"Hey, you are back" one of the guards speaks as he sees Raine walking towards the faculty.

Raine waves their way before she puts the safety code on and opens the system all around the faculty.

She sighs walking towards her den only to find Dante waiting for her.

"Hey" she states as she pushes the papers scattered all around the room.

"How are you feeling?" Dante asks the girl as he watches her move around.

"Better, I guess you are here to question me right?"

"There is nothing much to say, that Thomas man he did a number on us. It is my fault as well; I should not have trusted and given him free excess to my den...

Don't worry, I will update the security system in here and will try to control the damage just let me get the room fixed first" she replies moving around.

"Stop, I don't care about what damage control you can do, what I am here for is to know how Ariel end up in the faculty and what set her off," Dante asks stopping the girl's movement.

"I really don't know about that, I think you should ask her how she came to be here. As for what set her off, I think Eric put something in her before she lost her consciousness and got this brand new power," she explains as she stares at Dante's face.

"Is there something you are not telling me?" he asks as he stares her way as well.

Raine shakes her head no before Dante nods her way and turns around to walk out but stops at her next question.

For the past few weeks, there is uproar in the faculty as the council was busy making plans and trying to find out any whereabouts on Thomas or anything pointing his way.

Raine locks herself up inside of her den without any contact with the outside world as she has a sea of works waiting on and pending.

Another reason for it was to avoid a certain someone named Eric Antonio, as the events that occurred were still fresh on her mind and every time she sees the man, she cannot help but feel sudden anger and hurt.

Engel blinks her eyes a few times, as she opens them, looking around her she finds she is in a room not so familiar to her. She tries to speak but stops as she feels her throat is dry so she tries to get up only to find herself pinned by heavy arms.

She smiles as she touches her mate's arm lightly before shaking him a bit.

"A little bit more," Gio grumbles as he pulls her closer to his side so she slowly turns around to flick on his nose.

Gio groans as he slowly opens his eyes in annoyance and glares at his smiling mate before he slowly realizes that she was awake and jumps out of the bed.

"Engel, you are...you are awake" he gasps looking from his mate to the door not knowing what to do.

"Water" she croaks so he rushes to pour a glass for her.

Once she drinks the water, she turns to him with a smile and Gio takes breathe a relief.

"You scared me," he whispers as he watches her from where he stands.

Engel smiles apologetically before she opens her arms for him and Gio crawls in to it.
