Chris smiles as he walks inside of the faculty building to check on Raine, he would have done so sooner but his mate had other ideas regarding them and she was not satisfied before she marked him over a thousand times, then and only then did she let him leave her side.

Now, he was in the building to check on the girl who was lucky enough to not get hurt else, he knows how devastating it would have turned and he has to thank the girl.

Because of whom he finally mated with his mate and for the first time in his life, he felt balanced with the connection he holds with his mate.

As if his mate was the answer all along as soon as they were marked, he felt within him, the balance he always kept seeking and that moment he realized the true power of being someone's mate.

It was not just about the physical or emotional connection you two have it was more than that, it was that sense of belonging to someone and somewhere, it was the feeling of being complete and it was like finally reaching home.

She was his home now as he was hers. He felt much more grounded and powerful as if nothing in this world can defeat him when he is with his mate. Somehow, within a few days, his mate has got hold of his weakness and molded into her in such a way that he no longer panics to be in a crowd and now he has a greater hold of his powers.

Moreover, he knows with the help of one of the trainers he will grow much stronger and all thanks to his mate and Raine who indirectly helped him.

"I am here to see Raine," he announces at the desk to the man behind who looks him from up to down before pressing some button.

"Your, he is so tall, handsome as hell appointment is here," the man states without blinking an eye before asking Chris to wait.

Chris smiles as he waits for Raine to show, if it was any other day he knew he would have bolted out of the door seeing so many people or even hearing the man say such a thing but not today, today he was a changed man.

"Hello my wildest dream, is my nightmare with you as well?" Raine asks as she jumps over next to where Chris was startling him, as he was too busy thinking about his beautiful mate.

"Hello, you mean my mate Jane? Well, she is not here but she did send you her regards and she is my wildest dream not a nightmare" he smiles greeting her.

"I wonder what a nice man like you is doing in a chat room like hers. Then again, we cannot choose who our mate is...

Too bad for me" she sighs before walking ahead as Chris follows her.

"Please wait, I wanted to talk with you for a while," Chris requests as he follows her.

But Raine just keeps moving faster and Chris frowns thinking she was ignoring him but he had to talk to her and thank.

"Miss" Chris calls as he follows behind her.

"Look, look he is the one following me" Raine shouts all of a sudden gaining everyone attention and Chris halts on his steps.

"Um...what do you think you are doing?" Chris asks flushed at the outcome.

"I was just proving that I am not the one who followed you and I am not the one trying to seduce you," Raine explains to him and he chuckles.

"I am sorry for the trouble my mate caused and also thank you, because of you our relation is strong now" he honestly thanks her.

"Damn, why is all the good men mated, no worries I understand where she is coming from, having a mate like you without any mark can make any girl jealous...

Anyway, thanks for following me around now I can brag that a man like you was once following me around" she grins pulling her hand out for him to shake.

"It's really nice meeting you Raine" Chris smiles as he shakes her hand.

"I know it was nice meeting you too, take care," Raine smiles before pulling her hands away and waving him goodbye as he leaves.

"Baby, I missed you" Jane whines as she jumps in Chris's arms.

"I missed you too" he grins before kissing on her lips.

"Let's go have sex, wild, crazy one" she speaks pulling him but he stops her.

"How about we rest a bit, are you not tired?" he asks worried about her.

"Tired, baby how can I when I have not got a chance to play with you. I have strong stamina now come on let us go...

I think we should just enjoy our alone time as much as we can, it's not so nice to ask your parents to stay away more from the house" she begs pulling him once again.

"We can always move out" he suggests watching her pulls his clothes off.

"Move out, are you sure? I mean..."

"Yes, I am. I cannot just always stay in here with my parents. Nothing is decided yet, but I can talk with my parents...

I have to move out of here eventually" he shrugs his shoulders as he explains.

"Please don't feel you need to leave your home because of me"

"No, I am not. I know I am old enough to be living on my own but seeing as I had some problems I stayed with them...

But, I think I should give them some alone time because I feel like just being with you" he grins picking up his stunned mate who does not know what else to say so she let their bodies do the talking.

"I thinking I like this kind of exercise more than the one I have to do with my trainers" Chris grins as he pulls his mate closer to his body.

"Are they giving you any trouble if so then say the word baby, I will fucking end them" Jane asks staring at her mate.

"No, I am good even if it seems a bit hard but I think I love being out there on my own and it is helping me in a good way" he assures her before they both get quiet.

"It's a good thing but babe you should only feel good when I am with you" she threatens him before grinning as he pecks on her lips.

"You know you make me the happiest man in this world," he whispers before tickling her stomach.

"Chris no" Jane laughs freely as her mate tickles her stomach.

Both of them spent much of the day in bed fooling around and talking about their life ahead. Chris makes sure his mate is happy and knows that he loves her and her only while Jane feels the same for him.

They both stay in the house creating their own world shutting everything out. It was not until till late at night when Chris feels restless.

He wakes up and checks on his mate to see if anything is wrong with her and smiles as he finds her all tangled up in the blanket and sleeping peacefully.

He checks on her through their bond to see if it is her dreams that are making him feel so but when he finds it at peace as well he gets up from the bed.

Rubbing on his chest, Chris sighs, as he does not know why he is feeling such all of a sudden. He frowns as he checks on the bond with his parents to check on them and smiles when he finds his father presence.

Slowly he walks out of the room and finds his father making his way towards him as well.

"Dad"

"What is it?" Connor asks worried as soon as he sees his son's face.

"I don't know, just a bit restless, do you think it's a mating thing?" Chris asks as he holds his father's hands to calm down as he knows his father is the only one who can help with the issue except his mate whom he do not want to wake up.

"Relax, let me check on the source of it but for that you need to calm yourself, can you do it?" Connor asks as he uses his power to create a strong shield around them so Chris can keep focused on the task at hand.

Both the men walk towards the library so they do not wake their mates. All of a sudden, Chris's breathing is out of control, as he cannot seem to breathe properly.

Seeing his son Connor tries to enter his mind and see what is making him so upset, but Chris pushes him out all the time.

"I need your mind calm Chris" Connor requests but Chris cannot seem to have any control on it.

"Okay, then you will have to do it yourself," Connor tells him as he instructs his son to try to check on the source of his restlessness.

"I cannot, it's too powerful" Chris huffs as he clutches onto the chair he has been seated on.

"Connor" Crystal's voice makes her mate turn towards her and she rushes to them.

"Crystal, go to our room. I will handle this," Connor asks as he holds his mate from touching their son.

"No, I can help him"

"Crystal we talked about this, you know what will happen if you touch him in this state" Connor warns his mate as he had seen first hand what happened when the first time Chris started having his condition and how his mate tried to help.

Only for them to end up hurting him even more and from that day on anything, any sort of emotions or thought was too much for Chris to handle, too much for him to bear.

"But...let me"

"Chrissie, honey it will only make his condition worse we both know that"

"But he is getting better is he not? He is getting stronger may be this will work he is not a child, please" she begs as she cannot see he only son in such a state.

Connor stares at his mate's face for a while before he turns towards his son; he debates whether he should risk it.

"Okay, but if it does not work this time, you will never touch him when he is going through this state again" Connor warns his mate who nods in understanding before he lets her go and she walks towards where her son was.

Crystal wraps both her hands around Chris's head before she closes her eyes and let go of her powers.

"Focus on my voice Chris, let me in. Just on my voice" she calmly requests and Chris tries to.

Crystal gasps before letting go of her son's head and stumbling back, Connor catches her on time before she falls down.

"What was it?" Connor asks worried as his mate had gone pale.

"Mom" Chris asks not knowing what happened, as he could not comprehend what he saw just now.

"We had a vision together" Crystal starts.

"Someone is trying to bring back the mandrakes that were long gone and this time whoever is doing this will succeed"

"What else"

"It's a girl, powerful, very, very powerful...there is just something special about her blood...

I couldn't see her face but they were all kneeling calling her their new master," she explains as he holds on to her mate's arms.

"How can that be possible those mandrakes were gone and only...a girl you say. Ariel" Connor frowns as he tries to join the points.

"She is mate's with Jane's son right?" he asks as he looks at Chris who nods as he rubs his forehead as he still cannot makes sense of anything he saw it was moving to fast for him.

"It will take time Chris, a bit of practice and you will be able to read those visions and it won't feel too fast" Crystal smiles as she knows that the vision he had did not make any sense to him.

"If you say so, I will go and rest the pain is killing me," Chris groans as he walks out of the room while his parents stay on the floor with his mother in Connor's arms.

"Was there anything else you saw?" Connor asks helping his mate to get up but she shakes her head no.

"It's been a while since I tried to see a vision so even I cannot make a sense to it but I am sure we will be able to see it more clearly next time"

"There will be a next time, same vision?" Connor asks surprised.

"Only if Chris wants to, it's his visions and if he wants to revisit it all he has to do is do so. Like a rewind button" she smiles as they both make their way to their room.

"I will have to ask Dante to keep a close eye on Ariel for the time being" Connor murmurs as they walk away.

Jane yawns rubbing her eyes as she finds her mate not in bed with her. Just as she goes to step out, he enters the room.

"What are you doing?" she asks him with a frown.

"Sorry, I was feeling restless. It was just a vision I had, mom helped me," he answer lying down on the bed.

"You could have woken me up instead of seeking your mother," she pouts as she pulls his hands away and rubs his forehead.

"My parents always help me when I have these sorts of situations Jane," he groans as he really is in pain.

"I know but I can help you too, big boy," she states as she keeps on massaging his head.

"I will keep that in mind that for next time" he sighs, as he does not want to rile her up about it.
