Jane paces back and forth in the living room waiting for her mate to come back from wherever he has gone without her knowledge.

"Can you not just tell me where he went?" she asks once again looking at Crystal who was busy knitting a sweater.

"I told you already he has gone with Connor it's something to do with his training" Crystal replies once again with a smile on her lips.

"Yes, but where, where is his fucking training where I cannot go and why did he not say so to me in the first place?" she asks in frustration before slumping down on the couch.

"Because you are not allowed to be where he is right now, I thought Dante told you that for a few weeks none of you kids are to enter the HP," Crystal reminds her and Jane curses.

"I swear if he was not my own father I would have killed him, he always brews some shit which bites our asses back, I wonder what he did this time...

I don't give a two shits on what he does but now that Chris is in someplace where I cannot be fucks my brains" she groans stomping her foot as once again she gets up and starts to pace again while Crystal silently keeps knitting.

"Jane" Chris's voice stops her pacing and she goes flying into his arms.

"Where have you been, I missed you?" Jane pouts hugging him to her.

"I did leave you a note that I won't be in for the whole day, were you waiting on me?" he asks her sweetly and she nods her head yes.

"You should have taken me with you if you were going to be gone the whole day, I am tagging along from now" she finalizes as they both walk in.

"Sorry, but you cannot. None of the Antonio's and Carlos's is to step in for a while something about some security protocol...

You father has backed down from his post for a while that's why Dad is hanging in to check a few things till he gets back" Chris explains to her.

"What the fuck do you mean my father has backed down?" Jane shouts in horror as she got the memo not to go in HP but nothing about him leaving his post.

"I don't know something big must have happened to make him leave but it's a temporary thing, so don't stress much" Chris tries to calm her before he walks to where his mother was and greets her.

"This cannot be happening to me, first my mate refuses to give me his virginity and now my own father is being kicked out of the leadership post he had been holding for decades"

Jane shouts as she throws her hands up in the air and walks inside her room to call her father while Chris turns beetroot as his mother chuckles.

"It's entertaining to have her around" Crystal giggles as she pats on her son's cheek lightly and walks toward her own room.

"Fuck him" Jane curses throwing her phone on the bed.

"What's the matter?" Chris asks as he walks in the room.

"Dad is not picking up the phone; he must have got the sense of what I am calling him for. How can he be so stupid to keep his position open like that?" she sighs in exhaustion sitting on the bed herself.

"Relax, I don't know what the matter is but it has to do something with your brother Devon coming back and his disappearance in first place" Chris voices as he goes to sit next to her.

"It's so crazy that I never knew he was even around, fucked up. Arghhh...you must be thinking so bad about me and my family now," she pouts staring at him from under her lashes.

"Why would I think bad about your or your family, I don't think I have any right to pass a judgment on anyone when I have my own flaws?

I mean how bad it is that I cannot take my own mate out for a normal dinner without it ending with the both of us in some sort of trouble...

"Thank you" Chris smiles brightly as he holds both her hands and kisses her palms.

"So, what did you learn today?" she asks trying to change the gloomy topic.

"Who is Raine?" Jane asks as she watches Chris's phone vibrate and blink.

"Oh" Chris smiles picking up his phone and walking out of the room to talk while Jane frowns at his behavior.

Jane waits for Chris to get back in the room while she watches him laugh and talk with someone.

"Who is Raine?" Jane asks once again as he finally walks inside the room.

"She works in HP" is all Chris says before he walks towards the bathroom to freshen up, as he feels sticky with all the training.

"Wait...she?" Jane asks but Chris shuts the door without hearing her.

"Why did she call you?" Jane asks opening the door with a bang startling Chris as he was in middle of soaping his body.

"Jane, what the hell" Chris shouts trying to hide himself.

"I asked you why she called." Jane asks once again ignoring his futile attempt to hide his body.

"Are you seriously asking me that now, get out Jane," he shouts at her frantically waving her to get out.

"You have nothing that I did not peek at while you were asleep so no use to hide yourself and right now seducing you is the last thing on my mind...

Now, back on topic who is this she and why was she calling you?" Jane asks sternly trying to hold her anger in.

"God-dammit, I told you she works in HP. She called to inform me about my schedule and that my entry card was ready so to pick it up when I am in later happy, now out," he barks pointing at the door.

Jane narrows her eyes at that statement before she storms out of the room to see for herself who the fuck this was she that made her mate smile and laugh so much.

"She better not be pretty," Jane mutters, walking out of the door.

"So, you mean this fence just got broken out of no where?" Raine scoffs checking on the loosely hanging broken fence of the terrace.

"Can you not just believe what I say?" one of the new recruits sheepishly states rubbing the back of his neck.

"Okay I will just believe you and say exactly the same thing to Rom and when he comes to kick your ass himself don't blame me" she warns him before turning back to leave but he stops her.

"Okay...okay, last night some of us were here for a drink, we were teasing each other and things turned out bad and two of us started to fight due to which the fence was broken...

Please do not say this to Rom or any other men because we will be kicked out of here if anyone knew we were in a fight with each other within the grounds. Can you please save us for once, we cannot be kicked out of here," the man begs her and Raine sighs.

"You should have come up clear at once, I cannot lie to them but no worries, none of you will get kicked out...

First gather up and pull all of this out, leaving it hanging will be dangerous if it falls at someone down there" she points out stretching her neck a bit to look at the ground floor as they were on the eighth floor right now.

"You" a voice calls, which makes Raine, to look up from her tab and find a girl standing in front of her.

Jane smiles sweetly before she turns to leave as they both came to an understanding. However, Raine cannot help but open her mouth to stop Jane and irk her even more.

"Jealousy is a terrible disease, get well soon," Raine whispers lowly but Jane hears it anyway and turns around so fast which startles Raine and she stumbles back.

Both the girls' eyes widen as like a slow motion Raine falls down through the broken fence, Jane watches stunned as the girl falls down while she just stares and does not have enough mind to react soon.

"Raine" one of the men shouts as he runs to catch her but it was too late.

Hearing the shout the men walking down stops and looks up to see something falling down but no one reacts soon enough, as Raine's body crashes down on the ground with a loud thud.

Everyone stands speechless watching in horror, as she lies on the ground motionless in a fetal position.

"What the fuck are all of you watching?" Sirus shouts as he turns back to his human form.

He slowly touches Raine's body and checks on any injuries before screaming for some help, he had enough sense to react as soon as when he saw something falling down and had jumped to catch her when he realized it was a body good thing he did catch her.

"I think she is unconscious due to shock" Sirus speaks, as he knows he had taken most of the fall.

"What happened?" a new voice speaks and Sirus steps away as Eric joins them all.

The entire HP ground was in frenzy as sirens blares on after the incident and men scramble to find out what the commotion was gathering around where Raine was laying.

"I didn't mean to" Jane voices as she joins where Eric was kneeling in front of Raine.

"What are you even doing here Jane, you are not supposed to be here," Sirus whispers sternly.

"I know, I just was talking with her and she"

"Will you all shut the fuck up for a moment, everyone back off, Sirus take Jane away and someone call Rom" Eric shouts throwing orders as he slowly goes to pick an unconscious Raine up in his arms before he walks to the infirmary room to check on her.

"I am sorry; I did not mean to hurt her. I agree we were arguing but I did not push her she fell down" Jane explains again as they all wait outside of the hospital room Raine was in.

"Relax Jane, its okay we know you did not push her, no one is blaming you okay?" Chris's soft voice tries to soothe her but she shakes her head no scared for the girl's condition, as she was not awake yet.

Rom, Ethan along with Connor awaits with Jane and Chris wanting to know the girl's condition, they all look up when the door opens and UT walks out.

"Honey, how is she?" Rom asks walking up to his daughter.

"Relax dad, she is fine. It seems exhaustion finally took over her. I heard she has been staying up late for a few weeks and when she fell down even if it is a serious situation its funny how she actually fell asleep falling down...

If Sirus was not there to catch her on time then things would have been different, so everyone can relax not a single hair from her head is misplaced, in actual fact she just fell asleep" UT chuckles walking away from them.

"Wow, she makes me speechless every damn time" Rom sighs deeply as a huge tension passes away from his body.

"See, she is alright now will you relax and stop blaming yourself?" Chris chuckles as he holds his mate.

"Who the fuck is she?" Jane asks stunned to hear the girl was actually asleep this whole time.

"You don't have to worry about that and Jane, hope this is a lesson learned for you, you are not supposed to even be here....

I will forget you are even here just this once seeing Raine is all-good but do not come here and start threatening people just because you can...

In addition, Chris you need to make sure your mate has full confidence in your relation and stop accusing others" Rom suggests to both of them before he asks them to leave and goes inside to see for himself that Raine was okay.

"I am sorry" Jane apologizes feeling ashamed for her behavior as well, for what happened.

"Relax baby, everything is fine, no one is blaming you and you don't need to be sorry as long as you realize your mistake...

We all make mistake" Chris assures her once again.

"I feel so stupid to just storming off and shouting at the girl" she sighs once again as the walk into their room.

"If it's any consolation I have actually not met the girl personally just talked with her"

"Then why were you laughing and smiling so hard when you were on phone with her?" she asks frowning.

"It's because when I walked in the building she announced how hot and handsome I was before she introduced herself through the speaker...

It was kind of embarrassing when everyone eyed me but not so bad, I liked her instantly," Chris laughs even more when she pouts.

"I feel so bad now"

"Don't worry I know a way to cheer you" Chris shyly states which grabs her attention.

"I think the reason why you are not so sure about us is because we are not mated yet, so well if you still want to then we can you know" Chris states shuffling a bit on his feet which brings a huge grin onto her face.

"You mean to say that you want to mate" Jane asks slowly as she wraps her hands around his torso.

"We will be visiting Adrian's pack for a while," Connor announces through the door while Chris groans in embarrassment.
