Chris blinks a few times before he wipes his eyes to check again, he shakes his head not believing what he sees.

"Chris you need to get in bed and why are you turning your back to me?" she asks in irritation.

Chris apologizes in hurry before he runs towards the bathroom and locks the door so his mate will not be able to get inside and do what she was planning on doing.

"Chris" Jane shouts as she shoots out of the bed seeing him rush into the bathroom.

She bangs on the door in disbelief at what just happened, any man would have gotten the hint by now and jumped in bed with happiness seeing her in that state of undress but no, she had to get a mate who hides when he sees her naked.

"I swear to God Chris open the door and get out here, right now" Jane shouts as she keeps banging on the door.

"Don't worry, every one of us are fine. We are not kids anymore, so have a little faith in us to handle ourselves," Jane states as she pushes his shoulder with hers.

"How can I not worry, no matter what you all are my kids and being your father I have every right to worry?

Oh before I forget, Jasmine gave birth to a baby girl, damn that Adrian he won once again...

He mated first, became a father first and now he has a grand daughter as well" Dante pouts as he informs her which brings a bright smile on her face.

"Don't worry dad, you will be a grandfather as well" Jane pats his shoulders to soothe him.

I have some doubts" Dante sighs shaking his head before he gets up.

Adriana shuffles on her feet as she waits for Devilin at the front of the building he was staying, she checks the time on her watch wondering when he will show up.

Finally, she decides to go back her way and leave the things she brought with her in the lobby as always, so with that she makes her way only to crash into Devilin himself.

"Where had you gone? I have been waiting for you, too bad I lost your track when you went to help your friend...

Dev pushes her a bit and takes a step away from her. He checks her from up to down before speaking.

"Who are you and what the hell do you think you are doing?" he asks her in confusion.

"I knew it, I knew if you did not see me daily you would forget about me. It is me Adriana; remember the last time I asked you about going out for dinner...

Well, I came to ask you out again but this time please do not refuse okay; I will be waiting for you. I have planned everything for us, you will not believe how hard it was to get the reservation but I finally did...

So, I will be waiting for you, here this is the address don't throw it" she warns as she hands it to him along with the flowers as well as the card of the restaurant she made the reservation for them.

He smiles as she walks out of the elevator towards him.

"What took you so long?" he asks holding her hand.

"Then I guess I will be leaving with you" he simply answer which brings a smile in her face.

"Does that mean we are announcing our relation to everyone?" she asks him carefully.

"I don't mind shouting it to the world," he answers glancing her way for a second.

"I too want to shout it out but I think we should wait, just a few weeks ago I told them Eric was my mate and now that I left him I don't want to tell them about us...

Take as much time you need, I am going nowhere" Dev replies stopping her babbling.

It does not come as a surprise to find most of the people in the Martin's household to there congratulate the couple for their first-born.

Ariel waits for her turn to check on her niece and Jasmine as both of them get fussed upon by the visitors in the house.

After meeting her niece Ariel walks out of the room leaving her brother and Jasmine to spend some time with their daughter, she walks towards the kitchen where she finds another of her friends feasting on the food she was sure her mother prepared.

"Dev" Gio calls patting the seat next to him for him to take it.

Dev makes his way towards Gio while Ariel goes to bring a plate for Dev.

"When did you arrive?" Gio asks as soon as Dev takes the seat.

"Just a few minutes ago and you" Dev asks as he looks around the room casually.

"Not long ago. So, I heard you brought Ariel back, we need to talk about a few things alone" he whispers the last part as he too looks around the room.

"Why, what is it about?" Dev asks cautiously.

"Something, but I cannot tell you in here. Too many ears" he states before eating his food.

Dev nods before he smiles as Ariel passes him a plate and he too digs in without a word.

After both the men finish the food, they both get up to search for a more private place to talk but find none.

Therefore, they ask Ariel to lend them her room for a while so that they can talk about a few things; she shows them her room and leaves them to join the Ladies.

"What is this all about?" Dev asks once they are alone.

"Eric, he has created some troubles not just for him but Enzo as well, it seems he has run away from the place he was staying at...

A few hours ago Adrian, Enzo along with your father and mine went to meet him but he had already left the place...

Nothing found in the place to give them a hint of where he went to, they could not even trace his scent. There have been some suspicions raised against him and now that he is on the run, it has made things more difficult for everyone," Gio explains to him pacing around the room in frustration.

"So, why are you saying all of this to me?" Dev asks without a care.

Gio stops his pacing and turns to face Dev; he stares at Dev for a while before he sighs.

"I know you care for Ariel and that he hurt her feeling so you are being so cold towards Eric, but still we need to find a way to bring him back and prove that he is innocent if he is" Gio tries to talk to him but he just stares at Gio uninterested.

"Why would I do that?" Dev asks him again.

"Seriously Dev, we need to find out the truth and help him out, what if someone is trying to trap him?" Gio asks hoping he would understand the situation.

"So? He is your brother-in-law to be not mine, why would I waste my time on someone who tried to hurt my Air...

If all of you think he is so innocent, then, why is he running in the first place? Why are you all so worked up about it or is it that you are worried he did all those things and if you did not prove him innocent then your mate will get hurt in the process?" Dev asks arrogantly which spikes Gio's anger.

"I was just asking your help as a friend, if you don't want to..."

"Of course I don't want to, why would I help a criminal? Dad made a mistake letting him freely go that day...

If only Dad had given him a more harsh punishment instead of just an exile may be everyone would have been living happily. Whatever is coming his way, trust me he deserves it" Dev spat startling Gio with the anger in his voice.

"I know you care for Ariel but don't you think you are being a bit harsh saying such things?" Gio asks surprised.

"No, I don't think so. From now on never, ask any help from me with anything regarding Eric Antonio" Dev requests before he walks out of the room leaving Gio with a frown staring at the door.

"What is wrong with him all of a sudden?" Gio asks to no one.

Ariel watches in surprise as Dev walks out of the house without calling her, she follows him out of the house to find him walking towards the garden.

She silently walks behind him without him knowing, she goes to call him but stop as she hears him scream all of a sudden.

The plants around him turn into ashes with the flow of energy out of his body, which shocks her.

"Dev?" she asks scared not knowing why he was so angry.

"Air" Dev whispers as he turns around to find her standing behind him.

"What..."

"Sorry, I just had to let my anger out. I didn't mean to scare you or you to see me like this," he informs her feeling stupid.

"It's okay, um...is everything okay, I have never seen you so angry before" she asks walking closer to him.

Dev pulls her into his arms and inhales her scent to calm himself.

"Yes, I am okay, now" he answers before letting her go.

"What happened anyway, were you not with Gio a while ago?" she asks pointing back towards the house.

"Yes, he just told me a few things I did not like, but nothing to worry about I am good" he smiles before holding her hand and walking back inside,

"Okay if you say so," Ariel whispers as she walks inside but not before looking back at her mother's once beautiful garden.

Adriana checks on the watch once again, she sighs as her eyes keeps wandering towards the door waiting for her mate to show up.

Every time she sees anyone walk in, she stands thinking it was Devilin but to her disappointment, it was not.

The waiter once again walks towards her to ask if she wants something but she shakes her head no replying she was waiting for her date.

Even after two more hours of waiting for Devilin to show up, the hope she has that he will show up dims little by little but not completely gone.

"I should have gone to pick him up, instead of asking him to come here," she whispers staring at the glass of water in front of her.

Even when one more hour passes by there is no sign of Devilin she finally gives up all the hope of him joining her tonight.

"Should have got his number, may be that way I could have called him instead of waiting on his call...

Then again, is it not a man's responsibility to call his girl? I mean that is what I learned, ah...do not know, it seems nothing is working with him...

I did everything to make him fall for me, so why is it not working? Is he one of those types that no matter what is hard to get?" she mutters talking with herself.

The waiter once again walks her way and taps on her shoulder to get her attention, she goes to speak but he stops her asking her to leave as it was past their closing time.

Adriana looks around the room to find no one was around except her and the servers, so she smiles and stands up, biting on her lip she nods towards all the people staring her way before she walks out of the door.

Rom along with Enzo stops at Rom's house to discuss a few things, as soon as they enter the house they find Andrew waiting for them in Rom's living room.

"Andrew?" Enzo asks surprised to see him.

"Oh hey, I did not know you two were together. I came to see Rom," Andrew states as he gets up to greet them.

"Why, what was so important that you had to come see me personally?" Rom asks warily as whatever this was must be of importance as he rarely gets any visitors from work in his house.

"Well, I would have waited for you in the HP but I could not, I had to inform you of this personally and off HP grounds" Andrew starts.

"Let's go to my office then" Rom suggests the men walking in front to the office he had in the house.

"Speak" Rom orders as they all settle down.

"I don't know whether this is any of my concern but I have dictated few flaws in HP's account"
