After breakfast I excused myself to attend to my business.
Even when traveling I couldn't shake off her startling aroma from my head.
She must've thought that the food was delicious but only if she'd known she was nothing in contrast to that food.
I wanted to devour her as I'd stared into her pale blue eyes. They had the magnificence to match the coldness of an ocean with the flawless strength and girth of her blonde that curled at her shoulders and further down.
I didn't even want to start on her swaying hips that she owned so proudly. With her every move and sway, the urge to make her mine only grew to an unbearable extent.
How relieved I was when she left! But she left behind an inflamed typhoon of turmoil within me.
At first I was awed by her beauty, the tranquility of her pale complexion almost deceived me into thinking her as a vampire.
But the wind that exposed her fragrance to me confirmed her humanity.
I could now appreciate Mason's words quite fully. 'No feeding'. Being with her without having a taste of her blood was pure torture and that was why he chose me!
He was as conscious as day that no other vampire would resist blood as much as me; that was his scheme all along.
I had to restrain myself with her presence, it wasn't going to be easy but I had to do it. I'd stop breathing if necessary.
Turning my attention to the matter at hand I discarded the rest of my worries. I needed to get to the next step of my plan of abducting her, Elizabeth Browns.
I was currently at the hill-sides climbing the top to meet a new wretched just like me.
He used to work for Mason and the other Lords but then, proving his loyalty to Mason, he was given a severe work to take care of all the while hiding under the caves of Unknown.
I'd been looking for him for one hour straight and have already figured out why it was named as something as ridiculous as Unknown.
It was no game.
The forest beneath the hills held a predatory glory to it just like us supposedly to attract the prey.
It was beautiful with different greens and queues of flowers.
An elegant lake was seen from a distance where I stood, the water was so vivid enough to replicate the glowing sky.
If I wasn't a vampire or trained into taking everything beautiful as a treacherous mirage, I would've believed I was in Paradise, as the name on the billboard had suggested on my way here.
"For a vampire you possess a quite sidetracked mind." I eyed the source shooting a glare to his side.
He was a bald man in his thirties and dressed in a farmer's clothing. His skin was tanned and held a roughness to his voice with a minimum hospitability.
He did catch me off guard for a second. I was baffled concerning his kind. After much effort I found out he was a human―so unlike of Mason!

"Aman?" I called still in my bemusement.
"This way." He smiled politely and gesticulated towards the way.
Soon he brought me towards an old house that seemed to have survived the test of time and was thriving vigorously under the splendor of the greenery that surrounded it.
A man of the same height, size and stance of Aman was attending to the nursery at the moment.
"Anil!" Aman yelled grasping his attention.
He stood up from his work and strode towards us wearing a huge complimentary smile.
"Ah! Finally." He said swiftly taking my hand and shaking it vigorously with both of his.
I found the gesture to be quite amusing rather than irritating and an appreciative smile slowly went up on my lips.
"I'd been waiting forever for this day!" His voice was jolly matching his childish eyes glinting with his heart's warmness.
"Finally a Lord!" He seemed to have lost control over his features just when his twin grabbed him between his arms and held him closer to himself.
They exchanged a few words before the emotional one stopped himself and drew back.
He shook his head as if remembering something as his eyes hovered over my body.
"My manners!" He covered his mouth with his palm. "Please my Lord, come in." I followed behind him as he ran inside in a hurry.
The house had nothing more than a couch, a bunkbed, a round table before a small kitchen with two side chairs.
It was although undisputable that the house felt more homely than anything, probably because of the beauty of this place.
"Would you like some tea master?" He asked returning from the kitchen.
I'd already taken a seat with his brother in front of me, waiting for him to get down to business but there was no point of breaking this poor soul's heart.
"Um sure." I murmured before a realization hit me. "And Anil―is that your name?" I asked wanting to be sure.
"Yes." He smiled proudly.
"Don't call me a lord or master, I'm neither of it and I'd rather not be. Call me Edward if you will." I cleared my throat trying to sound approving, keeping his soft nature in mind to not inflict any unintentional pain.
"Yes ma-Edward." He replied.
"Good." I smiled as he went busy with the herbs and other supplies.
My undivided attention now fell on Aman, the older twin with my gaze darkening and my lips forming a thin line.
"Mason said you have something that's his. That you're taking care of it." I saw a smile sparkling on his lips but it wasn't a disrespecting one, a contented one perhaps.
"How come a vampire's belonging could be anywhere near safe in a human's hands?" I stared intently for an emotion or anything he could offer.
I didn't know myself what I was looking for at the moment.
"You overlook humans too much." He stated still pleased with himself.
"How long have you been taking care of it?" I questioned leaning down at the head of the chair.

"Six generations. Before me my father had the responsibility passed on from his father and so on. The vampires have a lot faith in us to not mess up and if we do, they'll just wipe our bloodline from the face of the earth." Aman had never even held a single wrinkle on his forehead as I went on to ask questions about his family.
He wasn't bothered by my aura and was able to resist me in his head most of the times but that feeling amused me rather than leaving frustrated.
"Six generations ago, like three hundred years ago?" I bewildered.
What could be so important that they felt the need to hide it amongst humans?
"Yes. The vampires were ruled by a powerful king that time, he'd conquered almost every part of the human lands and both of our kinds used to bow down before him." He stated in pure shock for the first time.
I knew our history from being called the Satan's army to thirsty bloodsuckers thousands of years ago but this was new and apparently recent.
Where was I three centuries ago? How old was I again? If you're a vampire you tended to forget from time to time about the timeline of your existence.
Besides, how many years of memories one could possibly hold for more than a certain amount of time before slowly slipping into a darker side of oneself?
"How well do you know your history?" He said sounding amused by my answer.
I just rolled my eyes before a tray crammed the space on the table.
I watched Aman grasping the cup and bringing it closer to his mouth.
After his first sip I decided to take mine.
Intertwining my index finger around the curve leg of the cup I brought it closer to my lips, pouring a gentle sip down my throat as the different flavors hit my tongue and my mind danced being lost in the music of peace and tranquility as unadulterated elation washed over my facial features.
"You like it?" Anil asked keeping his satisfaction in check and he surely succeeded better than me.
"It's good." I said punching my lips firmly together to stay put and not let out a moan.
"You haven't answered me." Aman's scolding hurled me back to reality.
What was his question again? My history, right?
"I seek no interest in your coaching." I placed the empty cup down on the tray.
"Show me what I'm here for." I demanded ruthlessly looking into his eyes.
"I thought you'd never ask." He sighed placing down his cup as well and gently propelled back the chair to stand.
He cued me to follow him.
As I've expected the house looked way huge from the outside than the inside, they hadn't shown me a part yet.
Behind the bunkbed a few paces led to a big door that was locked and unlike the rest of the house, this door seemed as good as newly blown bud.
Several mechanics hold the door together as one with chains and needles adorning every part of it.
Aman took out a key from his back pocket and unbolted the door.
Softly thrusting it back to avoid any casualties and wound, we made it to a bunch of staircases.
I let Aman went first as I followed in his steps.
Soon I came across a gloomy space with rarely any hygiene air to inhale.
We went further into the darkness oblivious to any sort of prediction.
The path was narrow and kept thinning to an almost suffocating level until something like sparkling blue came into sight.
I neared the room where the light was coming from and in the dimness it felt tens of stars were lying down on the surface of a beautiful garden, brightly gleaming with joy and some green was visible because of that mere illumination.
It was akin to a beautiful night sky where you could touch and feel the sensation of these heavenly illuminations against your senses.
I wasn't even aware I was smiling with glee before he flipped on the lights and the illuminations admiration degraded to a level.
It was wolf's bane, the blue and violet petals attached to the big green stick and the roots eventually ending up inside the earth.
But there was something out of ordinary about it.
I'd seen wolf's bane before but none of them sparkled or held a glowing stone perched atop the flower.
"What is this?" I asked without averting my sight.
"Wolf's bane, a rare one of its kind." I didn't bother to make sense out of it.
"Why a vampire would desire a thing that's capable of killing him?" I grew perturbed not being able to find out any decent explanations.
"You don't know what's coming next my Lord. If you had you wouldn't be here but since you are that means it's nearing us." Anil stated.
For the first time I felt like he was serious from the way he spoke about it, his eyes held an impatient eager and his lips twisted in a way making me believe he'd reached his ultimate goal.
He was like a child who'd finally get everything he'd ever sought for.
I turned towards Aman, almost barking as I spoke. "What is nearing us?" I growled running out of decency.
"The one and only, our King." He muttered with a soft smile despite the much vindictiveness and malevolence that had laced his tone.
I shook my head off the craziness in the air. I wasn't going to let some twins play me into thinking I was in danger.
I had to get out of this house as soon as I could and with that thought I ordered both of them to hand me some of the plant so I could depart and take the third step in my kidnapping scheme.
Tonight I'd abduct her.
