《Spirited Away (sasunaru)》Chapter 10

"Daddyyy! Natsu took my book!" Akari came running into the kitchen as she latched onto my leg with tears in her beautiful blue eyes. She's a book lover so books are practically her life.

"Did you tell papa?"

"Yes but Natsu told papa that he didn't and papa believed him." She said angrily as she sniffled sadly.

"Natsu!" I shouted for him and as soon as I did that, footsteps came rushing in as he popped his head into the kitchen.

"Yes daddy?"

"Can you return Akari her book?"

"No! She don't want to play with me ball!" He huffed, crossing his arms as he glared at Akari while she just ignored his glares. Sigh... I think I know who got whose genes from such incidents.

Our first born, Haru, is born with a nice coat of black fur and black eyes, like a split image of Sasuke while our second, Akari, has a mix of golden and black and white for her coat and bright blue eyes like mine while our last, Natsu, has a golden coat like mine but black eyes like Sasuke's. Haru and Akari mostly behaves like Sasuke while Natsu, like me.

"Akari...can you play with your younger brother for a while? And Natsu, can you return Akari her book?"

"NO!" The two shouted at the same time, making me wince.

"I'll play with Natsu, dad." A calm voice entered my ears as I turned to find my eldest standing there by the cupboards.

"Thank you, Haru. I'll give you two mackerel later during dinner as a reward." His eyes lit up a little at my words before giving me a small smile.

"Thank you, dad." Haru loves mackerel the most. He can never get enough of it.

"No fair!" The two chorused once again but stopped immediately when they saw Sasuke walk in.

"What's wrong?" Sasuke questioned curiously as he stared at the two.

"Nothing papa!" They said in union for the third time, making Sasuke stare at them suspiciously.

"We're just asking daddy what's for dinner, right Natsu?" Akari nudged Natsu lightly, making him nod quickly in response.

"Yup! Akari is right, papa." Natsu backed up quickly, making Haru snort in disbelief before walking off.

"If you say so... now why don't you two run along and do something else instead of disturbing your dad."

"Yes, papa." They chorused once again for the fourth time before dashing off, leaving me to shiver slightly at their creepiness.

"What's for dinner, Naru?" Sasuke purred softly into my ear as he leaned over my shoulders as I flipped the mackerels.

"Haru's favourite."

"I see. Iruka's coming over right?"

"Yeah. Oh ya, can you help me set the table up? Thanks."

"Sure." Grabbing the utensils, he washed and dried them properly before laying them on the napkins placed on the table.

That must be Dad.

"I'll get it." Sasuke announced before walking to the door as I scooped the rice into bowls and placing a mackerel each onto each plates, of course with two on Haru's, before bringing them out to set them on the table.

"Naruto!" Dad called my name excitedly as he walked quickly to my side to see what I'm doing.

"Hi dad. Food's ready. I just left with the soup."

"I'll help you bring them out."

"Thanks dad."

"No worries."

"Sasuke, can you help me call the kits to come down! Remind them to wash their hands before sitting at the table!"

"Kay." It didn't take long for him to get them down and to wash their hands. By the time the soup is served, they are all already seated around the table, waiting for Iruka and I to join them. Sigh... If only they listen to me as much as they listen to Sasuke.

"Thank for the food, Naruto." Sasuke and Dad thanked while the triplets said their thanks quickly before digging in.

"Thank you daddy." "Thanks dad."

Sipping on my soup, I watched as they enjoyed their food to their heart's content while throwing words across the table as they interacted animatedly.

"I'll get you more soup, daddy." Natsu spoke up suddenly as he took my empty bowl from the table to the kitchen to refill it before placing it down before me.

"Thank you, Natsu." I thanked him before ruffling his hair with a warm smile on my face, making him smile widely yet shyly with blushing cheeks. He's so cute.

"Daddy, why don't you eat food like us? Won't you be hungry if you just drink soup?"

"He already told us that he can't eat solids for more than 10 times, onee-san."

"Ohhh...I forgot." She chuckled slightly as she scratched the back of her head in embarrassment. "Short-term memory."

Seems like all of them are a mix of Sasuke and I. Although Natsu mostly acts like me, he's thoughtful at time like Sasuke. Although Akira mostly acts like Sasuke, she has short-term memory like me. For Haru... let's just say that he has his own unique personality.

"Hey Dad, how's your relationship with Kakashi?" I asked casually as the whole table turned silent before all pairs of eyes stopped on Dad for his reply.

"We... mated last week." He said shyly as he turned red in embarrassment. Apparently, he just found out that he and Kakashi are mates a month ago!

"So Kakashi is now our ojii-san too?" Haru questioned as I nodded in reply.

"Yeah! That's so cool! We now have one of the greatest warrior as our ojii-san!" Natsu cheered loudly as Akira nodded at his words in agreement, both of them with eyes sparkling brightly at the news.

So we're not......... cool? I'm hurt.

"Oh ya, Naruto. Minato told me to tell you that his cubs are dying to come here to play with them again so he would like to bring them over this Sunday if you're okay with it."

"Sure. Tell him it's fine. Aoi and Misaki are fun to be around with anyway. They're real sweethearts." Aoi and Misaki are Minato's and Kushina's cubs. Aoi being their son and Misaki being their daughter.

"Done. Just told him. He said that his cubs are overjoyed."

"That's great." Standing up from my seats, I walked into the kitchen before taking two eggs out and placing them at the centre of the table.

"What's this for, Naru?" Sasuke questioned curiously as he eyed the two eggs.

"Why don't you guys guess?"

"Are we celebrating Easter?" Natsu questioned excitedly.

"Are we going to eat them?" Haru said in confusion as he reached out for an egg to eat it but stopped when I didn't say yes.

"Are we having a competition to see who can shell the eggs the fastest?" Akira said eagerly. She always love to have competitions.

"A-Are you pregnant again?" Sasuke finally spoke up as he stared at me with tears in his eyes.

All four pair of eyes turned to me in surprise when they caught Sasuke's words.

"Twins." I whispered out in joy, making Sasuke's tear to fall, Dad to cheer as he's going to have more grandkits and the triplets to scream madly as they're going to be older brothers or sister.

"No more housework, Naru." Sasuke spoke up quickly as the rest nodded.

"No more running." Dad chirped as the rest nodded again.

"No more climbing." Akira said with a warning tone as the rest nodded once again for the third time.

"No more stressing." Haru sighed deeply before staring at my stomach area. He must really have wanted to become an elder brother.

"Time to stock up on milk guys. We're going to need more than 60 cartons." Natsu simply commented, causing all of them to erupt in laughter.

Damn... I love my family so much. I wouldn't want to have anything else in exchange of this warmth. Seems like I have to thank the Elders for what they did or else Sasuke and I wouldn't be able to have such priceless happiness. I'm thankful to have been Spirited Away.
