The plane was fast. Extremely fast. The group of mutants (plus Moira) had only left the hanger mere hours ago and yet they were already in the heart of the action. Ships were covering the water, all their guns ready to fire on and this made Evie nervous.
The rocking of the plane and the tense atmosphere gave her flashbacks to her time in the military. She took deep breaths, clutching her buckles tightly, closing her eyes, wishing she was someplace else.
"Looks pretty messy out there." Hank observed as he steered the plane back round, everyone shifting in their seats.
Charles placed his fingers to his head, searching with his power to find some information. Within an instant, he pulled his fingers away. "The crew of the Aral Sea are all dead." He told the group solemnly. "Shaw's been there."
"He's still here. Somewhere." Erik responded, confident in his words which made Evie glance at him. She never found out why Erik stayed but she could only assume that it was for some kind of revenge, after all he did try and stop a submarine.
"He's set the ship on course for the embargo line." Charles continued as he glanced at Evie and Moira, needing some more information.
"If that ship crosses the line, our boys are gonna blow it up. And the war begins." Moira responded, her eyes drifting to Evie who gave her a nod.
"Unless they're not our boys." Charles trialed off, an idea popping into his head. In confusion, Erik, Alex and Evie all shared glances before looking back to the telepath. They all noticed that Charles had already started to use his powers again.
It wasn't until Hank had to barrel roll the ship did Evie realise what was going on. Charles had fired a missile from Russia's fleet. As the ship turned, Evie gripped Erik's leg in panic, muttering loudly to herself, "We're all going to die!"
"Hold on!" Charles shouted at everyone in alarm.
Erik moved his hand quickly to grip Evie's waist, keeping her in her seat as the plane kept rolling. It was moments like these that remind the brunette why she was thankful she left the military but then again, they mostly traveled by trucks.
The ship straightened out and Erik let go of Evie, the brunette tapping his leg thankfully before taking deep breaths to calm herself down.
"A little warning next time Professor." Hank remarked, looking over his shoulder at the man.
"Sorry about that." Charles gave him a tight smile before looking to Sean who looked traumatised. "You alright?" He asked in concern.
"Yeah." Sean breathed out unconvincingly.
"Are you sure Banshee? You look a little pale." Evie stated in a jokingly way. When no one laughed or cracked a smile, she shrugged, "Just trying to ease the tension."
Moira began to flick switches, looking to the telepath and smiling, "That was inspired, Professor."
"Thank you very much. But I still can't locate Shaw." Charles responded as he tried to use his abilities to find the man they were looking for.
"He's down there. We need to him, now!" Erik announced, his voice becoming stern, Evie glancing at him before looking back to Charles. She had a bad feeling about all of this.

"Hank?" Charles looked to the blue man flying the plane.
"Is there anything unusual on the radar or scanners?" Hank immediately asked Moira who was looking over the equipment.
"No, nothing." Moira responded instantly.
"Well then he must be underwater and obviously we don't have sonar." The blue furball stated hatefully, annoyed that they couldn't locate Shaw.
A few seconds passed as they all tried to think of solutions before Sean spoke up, his voice wavering slightly. "Yes, we do!"
Charles looked to Erik and Evie who were sat opposite him and began to take off his belt and headset. The other two quickly followed him and stood up. After steadying themselves by leaning on the walls, the group of four made their way down to the middle of the plane.
"Hank! Get it as close to the water as you can!" Evie shouted over the noise, grabbing the roof occasionally to stop herself from slipping.
"Hank! Level the bloody plane!" Charles screamed right after her, copying her movements as she seemed to be going quicker then the rest of them.
Luckily the plane did correct itself, Charles and Sean walking past Evie to the other side of doors. The curly haired man's head snapped to Evie and Erik and instantly, began to shout at them.
"Woah! You two back right off." He announced, pointing his finger at them. Erik held his hand's up showing his that they weren't coming any closer. "Beast, open the bomb-bay doors!" Sean shouted to Hank.
The silver doors opened with a mechanical sounds, the wind instantly making Evie's hair go everywhere. She wish she had tied it up. Charles began talking to Sean, most likely reinforcing his teaching. With one last 'woo' from Sean, he jumped off the plane and into the water.
In awe, they all looked to the windows, seeing Sean disappear. Charles instantly connected himself to Banshee's mind and waited. Evie watched as his blue eyes lit up and announced, "Banshee's got a location on Shaw." The telepath looked to his friend. "You ready for this?"
"Let's find out." Erik responded before the two of them moved to the bay doors once again. Before joining Erik, Charles paused next to Evie.
"Get back to your seat." He told her, not leaving any room to argue. Evie knew that he had a point and as much as she wanted a front row seat to Erik's insane abilities, she knew that it probably wouldn't be safe.
"Be careful Professor." The brunette bid her lover before trying to get back to her seat.
Because she was walking against the air pressure of the ship, it took her longer. But when she saw a submarine fly slowly past the window, she stopped and looked at it in awe. Maybe this would actually all go to plan.
"Hold on guys," Hank's voice rang out which made Evie's eyes widen. The sight of a growing tornado forming right next to the plane. "This is about to get bumpy."
Evie managed to keep herself from falling, her hands slipping from the railings above them. Alex and Raven tried to grab her but she was too far away. She held on for a long time. That was before the plane hit the ground.

The impact made Evie drop, her back slamming into the metal flooring before she was sent flying towards the back of the ship. She tried to move herself away from falling debris but one piece hit her leg, sending her to the floor.
A large piece of the ship fell onto her arm, trapping her under it which caused her to scream out in pain. She felt her arm getting crushed, pain shooting through her shoulder and her arm cracking. "Shit!" She cried out in pain.
The ship finally stopped rolling and everyone was alright. Charles and Erik began to pull everyone out of their seats when the telepath noticed someone missing. "Evie?" He called out in alarm.
A strangled cry came from the back of the plane which made his eyes widen in alarm. He instantly ran towards the sound, finding the brunette trapped under debris. He panicked. Without hesitation he tried to pull the metal off Evie but it was no good.
"Evie! Are you alright?" He asked her in concern, still trying to free her but her terror-filled state was going to be imprinted in his brain for all of time.
"My hand!" She told him, her voice cracking as she led helplessly. "My hand, it's stuck!" She was almost begging him to help her, it was so painful to listen to.
"Calm down, you're going to be alright." He reassured her, knowing it's what she needed to hear. He turned his head to try and find help, locking eyes with someone. "Erik!" He called out beckoning him to come help him.
Erik rushed over, his eyes widening at the sight of the CIA agent on the floor. She had always been so strong in his eyes that seeing her like this, so vulnerable, it made him freeze. Quickly, he raised his hand, lifting the metal off her body so Charles could drag her out from under it.
A sigh of relief left her lips when she was pulled out, Charles falling backwards slightly, letting her rest her head on his lap for a small moment. He gently brushed away a tear that fell from her eye as she looked up at him, a pain filled smile on her lips.
"Thank you." She muttered before she was softly pulled upwards by the Englishman.
"I read the teleporter's mind. Shaw is drawing all the power out of the sub, he's turning himself into some kind of nuclear bomb." Charles informed the rest of the mutants as he helped Evie stand up.
"That sounds dangerous." Evie remarked as she gripped her arm close to her body, making sure not to injure it any further before she could get medical attention on it.
"We got no time." Moira added on, worry clearly present in her voice. "The guys out there are going out of control."
"Here's what we're going to do. Get in the radio temple and tell them to clear both fleets out immediately." Charles planned out as they looked to the broken submarine, now seeing Angel, the teleporter and the tornado guy.
"I'm going in." Erik announced, leaving no room for protest.
"Beast, Havok. Back him up." Charles commanded. Evie had to admit, seeing him take charge was hot. "Erik, I can guide you in but I need you to shut down whatever is blocking me and we just hope to god that it's not too late for me to stop him." He finished explaining his plan.
Erik nodded in understanding. "Got it."
"Good luck!" He bid the men. Just as Raven was about to leave the crashed plane, Charles called out. "Raven stop!"
"I'm going to help them." Raven shouted back at him, not wanting to let her friends do all the work.
"We don't have time for this. Anything comes in that entrance, you're taking care of it, yes?" Charles raised his brows at her, almost challenging her.
"Fine." Raven gave in, turning to Evie who was stood next to her brother. "Detonation, come with me. We're going to find some things for you to explode."
Charles opened his mouth to protest but Evie cut him off by kissing his cheek. "I'll be fine, good luck." She stated before rushing after Raven.
They both managed to sneak into the submarine, both of them looking for something that Evie could use. The first room she entered would have been lavish if it wasn't for most of it being burnt. The sofa's were white and the walls a light brown. This was a place of luxury and it made Evie feel sick that such an evil man had it.
That's when she spotted an empty fish tank in the corner. Her lips turned up into a smirk as she walked towards it. Without hesitation, she lent into it, grabbing some of the rocks in the bottom.
"Found something." Evie announced to Raven only to see her staring out of the submarine in worry. The brunette followed her gaze to see Hank fall to the ground of the beach, the red teleporter stood over him, ready to stab his eye.
"Hank!" Raven announced in panic, running towards the opening of the ship, Evie right behind her. The brunette watched as Raven shifted into Shaw, slowing down and stepping out of the ship. "Stop, Azazel."
The red teleporter stood up, eyeing the fake-Shaw suspiciously. Evie felt the pebbles in her hands begin to shift. Once they started to glow a brighter orange, the CIA agent revealed herself to Azazel and through them at him. He didn't have time to move away as they exploded instantly, throwing him back into the sand, knocking him out.
Unconsciously, Evie had held her left arm up to protect her face which caused pain to shoot out. She tried not to look at her mutilated arm but she couldn't help but glance at it. "Ow." She muttered to herself as the trio began to walk towards Alex and Sean who were now back on the beach.
Sean spotted them first, his eyes landing on Evie's bloody and broken arm. "Jesus, what happened to your arm?"
"I'm not thinking about it." She admitted as she held it close to her body.
But as the creaking of the submarine alerted them, they soon realised that this battle of far from over and if anything, it had only just begun.
