It was weird for Evie. One minute they were walking out of the CIA building and the next Charles was talking himself onto the Coast Guard boat. Surprisingly, it had worked. The brunette led the group as they wandered through, Evie scanning pretty much every part of the boat. She didn't know where they were going and hoped that one turn would be the right one. Without a word, Charles gripped Evie's arm softly and started walking in the opposite direction.

The telepath pushed a metal door open and suddenly they were on the deck. In the distance, Evie could see Shaw's boat. They were so close that they could almost touch him. Charles didn't hesitate to press his fingers to his head and search for the mutant in question. The man in the black suit (Evie hadn't caught his name yet) had guided them out of the way of the coast guards.

"This is the U.S. Coast Guard." A voice rang out in the darkness, a spot light focused on Shaw's boat. "Do not attempt to move your vessel. Stay where you are."

Evie watched the boat in the distance, occasionally her eyes glancing back to Charles. When she looked to the man again, she saw his expression shift from peaceful to confused. "I've lost Shaw." He stuttered out in disbelief, his fingers slowly lowering from his head. "There's something blocking me. This has never happened to me before."

"It's okay, it's not your fault." Evie reassured him, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.

Charles turned to the brunette, a small giddy smile on his lips. He looked like an excited child and Evie couldn't help but raise her brows. "I think there's someone like me on that ship." He revealed.

"Like you?" Moira questioned in confusion.

"I'm sorry, a telepath." He clarified as he looked back to the boat. "This is incredible. I could actually feel her inside my head. I'm very sorry, but I don't think I'm gonna be much help to you tonight. You're on your own." He explained as he turned to the CIA agents stood behind him.

The mood quickly dropped when the wind started to pick up. Evie moved her fringe behind her ear as she looked out to the ocean. Dancing along the water was a tornado that was slowly getting bigger and bigger and it was coming right for the coast guard. Evie's jaw dropped as she muttered, "What the hell?"

Charles heard her and followed her gaze, only to be just as shocked. "Oh, my God."

Evie couldn't help but stare at the dangerous wind and think that it was the end times. The world was officially going to end. The only time she did tear her eyes away was when Moira grabbed her shoulder to pull her inside with the rest of them.

"Get inside." The man instructed in worry, letting everyone enter the ship before them.

The group started to rush down the stairs, trying to stay upright as the entire ship shook. Evie gripped Charles' arm as he gripped the side, trying to stabilise themselves, silently praying they won't go toppling down the stairs. They started to move again only to have Charles call out in pain.

"Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop." He chanted, grabbing Evie who was a step below him. Evie looked up to him in concern.

"Charles? Are you okay?" She asked him immediately, worrying filling her brown eyes.

"There's someone else out there." He muttered in disbelief. His eyes darted to the door next to him and without thinking, he rushed outside again. Evie looked to Moira in disbelief before running after him. It was as if Charles knew Evie had arrived because he pointed to the water. "There."

Evie gazed out in confusion only to see a man in the water. As she looked closer, she saw that this unknown man was trying to pull a submarine above the water. "Holy crap. That's incredible." She whispered in awe, watching as the metal submarine came closer.

"Let go! You have to let it go!" Charles screamed at him in panic. The telepath turned to the man in black and insisted, "You got to help him. You got to put someone in the water to help him." When no reply came he looked back to the man. "Let it go! You have to let it go!"

He quickly grew frustrated with what was going on and left the group. Evie watched as the man pulled off his jacket and leaped off the boat. The brunette's eyes widened in shock as she watched Charles' head disappear.

"No wait, Charles!" She screamed after him, her whole body practically screaming to run after him. Except her feet stayed planted in fear.

"That's weird, the truck's stopped." Ramon observed as she started walking towards the exit. "Think the dogs picked something up?"

"Most likely." Evie responded as she stood from her seat. "Looks like the day starts early." The brunette pushed past Ramon and jumped out of the truck, observing the surroundings. Her brows furrowed when she saw the second truck start to slow down behind them. However, what caught her eye was the small hill under the truck. "No wait, Jones!" She called out in alarm. The women tried to step forward but her body froze.

The truck rolled over the mound. One minute it was a truck, the next dirt surrounded them, the car in pieces and the people dead. Evie had shielded her eyes from the blast and when she looked back, she was mortified. It was a landmine and her truck had only just narrowly missed it. The truck behind her creaked and Evie immediately snapped her head to them.

"Nobody move!" She demanded quickly made her team freeze. Unluckily, all of them had left the truck before the landmine had gone off so now they were all in danger.

Ford looked the most shaken as he practically shook in his boots. "What's going on?" He questioned, his accent becoming thicker with nerves.

"I think ... we've entered an ambush area." Mackena assumed as he looked around the hills and back to the road. "This road wasn't supposed to be used for weeks."

"So why are we here?" Ford questioned as he looked to his elders.

"It was a short cut back to base." Ramon answered honestly as she looked to her team mates in just as much fear.

"There can't be many bombs here, two maybe." Evie started to theories as she looked around the small roadside. "Just enough for a distraction so people can come down from the hills." She pointed to the high hills, a good place for snipers to hide.

"If that one went off then there's one left." Ramon caught onto the women's thinking.

Evie looked to the rest of the group, her eyes clearly showing her terror. "We need to find that bomb."
