Lucas Till, the same boy that took theatre arts classes every year, the same boy who always looked good no matter what he wore, was the same boy that was rumored to like you.
Prom was approaching rather quickly, and there was so much tension around the school with all of the rumors going around.
The halls were still the same, cold and empty, between each class. American History was right after lunch, and, yet again, you completely forgot about all of the homework that you had to have done by the beginning of the period. So, it looked like you'd have to do it at lunch again today.
You throw your stuff in your locker, and walk to the lunchroom. Ashley, Destiny, Virginia, Payton, Samantha, Caleigh, Madison, and Breanna are all gone for Honours Band, and the rest of your friends moved tables. So, you were sitting alone today.
The table seats felt cold. Shuddering, you pull out your notebook, and start to work on the assignment.
A boy with pure blonde hair and a blue shirt approaches your table.
"Do you mind if I sit here for a moment?" He asks.
It was never really the words he spoke that you cared about, it was mainly just the tone that he used. It was so soft, so comforting. You couldn't help but slowly fall in love with this boy.
"Oh, uh, sure, Lucas...!" Laughing, you close your notebook. Lucas sits down, smirking a bit.
'What do you have planned in that little, adorable mind of yours...?' You ask yourself as you watch him sit down, and you prop yourself up with your elbow on the table and your face in your hand.
"I was wondering... Would you like to go to the prom with me on Friday night?"
You tease. "Hm... I'll have to think about it..." You wink and then laugh.
"Of course I'll go with you, Lucas."
"Good. I wouldn't wanna go with anyone else." He gently takes your hands in his and kisses your cheek.
"I'll see you then. Be ready by 9, beautiful."
He stands up, and walks away.
