"No. it's not like this. I just... I didn't want to worry you. You were starting with your career and rising. It was like your golden era has just started and I didn't want to stand in the way of your success. I wanted to be the mother you've always had not just another burden," I lied. I never told her because I didn't want her to hate me. You always tell your loved ones that you will never be bored of them and their problems and that you will keep up with their flaws as if they were advantages. You believe so. You are convinced you can. Until it's no longer that convincing.

Silver's eyes glistered. Are those tears? Is SILVER really going to cry?

"You're a stupid bitch for thinking that. You can never be a burden, you bitch! I love you," and she hugged me, firmly, burying her face in my left shoulder and sobbing. Silver is sobbing. Wow. What a day!

"Hey, are you really crying? I can't believe it. Wait, can I call Jeff in? He really needs to see this because he won't believe me otherwise."

I laugh.

"I am still angry at you for keeping this from me. We promised to never keep anything from each other."

"I am sorry, Sil. I really am."

She pulls away, wiping her tears. Plus ruining her make-up.

"I'll beat you up but after the wedding," she said too seriously that I already wish the wedding doesn't end.

"Talking of the wedding, have you met Justin, yet?"

She looked at the floor nervously, pushing with her tongue against the interior wall of her left cheek. She does so when she has something to say. Then she looked me in the eyes.

"Caroline, don't panic. I need to tell you something ."
