Jovie paced back and forth in the room that she was put in. They had separated her and Bellamy without giving an explanation why. The longer they made her wait for an answer, the more angry she was getting. It made her feel like she was back on the Ark in solitary confinement, a place she spent one year too long in.

When the door finally opened, she didn't know whether to be annoyed or relieved that Kane was coming in.

"Where's Bellamy?" Was the first thing she asked. Kane paused, deciding how he wanted to go about this with her. She was clearly hotheaded and impulsive and didn't care much for authority. Bellamy had given him some intel, but if he wanted anything from Jovie then he had to be smart about this. He had to try to gain her trust first.

"Bellamy's fine," he assured her. "And I promise you I will take you to him, but first we need to talk." He pulled two chairs over, motioning to the one across from him for her to sit in. She just stood there with her arms crossed, refusing his request.

"I don't have anything to say to you," she said. He sighed. This may be more difficult than he originally thought.

"Jovie, I don't want to keep you locked up but I will if you don't cooperate," he told her. Jovie glared at him when he gave the subtle threat.

"It wouldn't be the first time I've been locked up... in case you forgot why I was down here in the first place," she shot back. "You remember why I was arrested, right, Kane? It's 'cause I was alive. But hell, the only reason I wasn't floated is because I was under 18."

"If I recall correctly, you were also charged with theft," he said. Jovie smiled, finally walking over to sit in the seat.

"Yeah, well, I had to do something to keep myself occupied," she commented.

"It's how you got so good at sneaking around? Spying?" He asked. "So much that these Grounders even gave you a name for it?" Jovie knew what he was doing. He was trying to play on her pride to get her to talk. She leaned forward, resting her arms on her knees as she smiled at him.

"You're good, Kane. I'll give you that," she said. "Listen, this is how it's going to go. I tell you what you need to know and you let both me and Bellamy free." Kane paused to pretend to think about her offer. He was planning on eventually letting them go anyway, so he could use this to his advantage.

"And your brother?" He asked. Jovie sat back, a frown replacing her smile.

"I don't give a shit what you do with him," she said. She was trying so hard to find it in herself to forgive him because he meant something to her, but the wound was still too raw.

"I see," he said. "Well, then, let's get back to these Grounders. Bellamy says they have axes, spears, knives, but no guns. What else do I need to know?"

"That they spend their whole life training to be warriors," she said. "That no matter how many guns you have, they will always have the upper hand at knowing the territory better than you ever will. They show no fear and will not hesitate to try to wipe us out." She paused. Now was her time to talk to him while he would actually listen. She would say what she had to because he wanted to hear it. "You let me go talk to their Commander, I can try to put an end to this. It doesn't have to be this way, Kane. We can all live in peace, if we just try."

"What makes you think they would agree to peace?" He asked. It was a valid question considering everything that happened.

"I don't know," she said honestly. "But I have to believe it can be possible." Kane sat there for a second processing her words. He realized that this girl had seen too much violence in her life and all she wanted was to fight for a better life. It was something that he could respect. She may be stubborn and relentless but it's only because she had to be. He was partly responsible considering he helped enforce the laws, but the rule against having a second child was simply to help the greater good of the Ark. He just wished he could have done more to help Jovie. It wasn't her fault she was born after all. She was stuck with this life. On Earth, she was free, but her past would always partly hold her a prisoner.

"I truly hope it is," he said before standing up. "I'll take you to Bellamy now if you want." She wasted no time jumping to her feet when she heard him say that. As they walked to the door, one of the guards went to grab Jovie, but Kane quickly stopped him. "I've got her." Jovie didn't know why he did this. She was dangerous and could easily escape with Kane taking her. But then again, he was taking her to Bellamy so maybe he figured she wouldn't want to try to escape.

Jovie didn't fight him as he escorted her down the hallway to another room. When they walked in Jovie's eyes immediately locked on Bellamy's.

"Jo," Bellamy said. "You okay?" She nodded her head, itching to get over to where he was. When Kane brought her over and started tying her up again though, she suddenly remembered the deal she made with him.

"Wait, you told me if I talked you would let us go!" She said, now trying to rip her hands out of the restraints.

"And I will," Kane promised her. "I just need to hold you here a bit longer while we figure out what we need to do."

"I told you what we need to do," she spat. It included letting her go talk to the Commander. She thought he had actually listened to what she had to say, but apparently he had a different agenda. After all, he was in charge again.

"It's not that simple, Jovie," he told her before walking off.

"Hey! Get back here!" She screamed at his back. He was starting to earn her respect because of the conversation they had just had, and now he was losing it again. She closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the metal wall in frustration. "I've been tied up way too often recently," she grumbled.

"Alright, listen. If you and Bellamy want to get kinky that's up to you, but please don't share any details with me," a familiar voice deadpanned from across the room. Jovie's head whipped over and she immediately glared when she saw her brother tied up with them.

"Fuck off, John," she snapped. He was trying to be funny to lighten the mood, but he just made her annoyed.

"So, are you guys like official now?" Murphy continued.

"We are not talking about this," Jovie said. For the first reason it was because her and Bellamy hadn't even really talked about that, though she kind of assumed they were. The second reason was because she didn't want to talk to her brother, especially not about her love life.

"Come on, Jo. I'm your brother. I'm supposed to have a say about your boyfriend," he pushed.

"You lost that right when you tried to kill him!" She screamed, now getting seriously pissed off. Her words clearly got to him because he finally shut up, just staring at them in silence from across the way. They hadn't had time to talk about what went down. Now was the perfect time considering they had nothing else to do and no one else listening in on them.

"Listen, I'm sorry, okay?" He said quietly.

"For what? Trying to kill him or doing it when you knew how I felt about him?" She asked. She needed to know this wasn't just about her, that he was sorry for trying to kill a person in general. It was just even worse that it was Bellamy.

"I'm sorry for it all," he answered. Jovie and Bellamy looked over at each other, as if they were trying to figure out how they felt about the apology. It was a start but Murphy had gone too far this time. He had a long way to go before either of him could forgive him. Besides, he didn't even just try to kill Bellamy. He actually did kill Connor and Myles. Jovie and Bellamy had killed too, whether it be a mercy kill or to defend their people, but Murphy did it for revenge.

"That's not enough," Jovie said. Before anyone could say anything else though, the sound of Raven's screams from somewhere inside the station filled the room. "Raven," Jovie said, looking over desperately at Bellamy. All she wanted to do was be there to make sure her friend wasn't dying. The only thing that reassured her a bit was that Finn had to be there with her. "She's dying because you shot her, you know," she said to her brother. That was one more thing he would have to make up for.

"Yeah, well, that was me at the Grounder camp," he said. "You know, I did everything I could not scream, but eventually..." Jovie's eyes wandered back to her brother. He was trying to get her to remember that he had gone through shit too.

"But eventually, you broke and you told them everything," Bellamy finished for him.

"And you wouldn't have because you're better than me," Murphy said.

"Damn right. I'm not a traitor. I didn't tell them where they could find us," Bellamy said, looking over at Murphy.

"And I did. Yeah, I did," he said. "After they tortured me in their prison camp for 3 days, but go ahead. You just keep believing, even if you are in here just like me."

"Maybe it's better if we all just stop talking," Jovie said. She didn't want to keep hearing about the torture that her brother went through because it was getting to her and she didn't want it to. She wanted to keep being mad at him because he deserved it. But she also couldn't ignore that he was all alone.
