《havoc | bellamy blake (book two)》3 | inevitable

It was only seconds later that a few guards walked out of the dropship, carrying Raven on a stretcher. Finn wasted no time rushing over to her side. Unfortunately, Jovie was still being held by the guards so she struggled against them.
"Please, I need to make sure she's okay," she said as she pulled against them. They just held her back more and it frustrated Jovie. It was one thing to arrest her for punching her brother (which, she should be allowed to do), but it was another to not let her see her dying friend.
"She's lost a lot of blood. It's a miracle that she's still alive," Abby informed them. When Abby saw Finn glancing past her at the dropship, she continued. "There's no one else in there," she said before leading the guards away to bring Raven somewhere else. "Come on. Put her down over here."
"What do you mean there's no one else in there?" Jovie called after Abby, getting no response back. She looked over to see that Bellamy was already looking at her, clearly as concerned and confused about the truth as she was. If they weren't in the dropship, where were they?
♛
At this point Bellamy and Jovie were left sitting on the side of camp, still in cuffs but able to talk freely. Finn was still busy trying to figure out what had happened.
"Something had to have happened to them," Jovie said. "They wouldn't have just left here, especially not without taking Raven with them." Even if Raven was on the brink of death, there was no way that Clarke would just leave her to die. She didn't know how or when Murphy got here, but that didn't matter so much.
"Any Grounders that were outside the dropship when they fired the rockets would have died," Bellamy said. "This doesn't make sense."

"Nothing ever does," she replied. She sighed, trying to push her hair out of her face with her tied up hands. "How long were you following us in the woods?" She then asked, thinking about the events that led up to them being back here.
"Long enough to see the Grounder kill one of ours," Bellamy told her. "Why didn't he kill you or Finn? Why did he need you alive?" Jovie figured he would ask this eventually. He had been wondering it since Finn made that comment about Tristan wanting to keep her alive.
"He needed me alive so I could talk to the Commander," she admitted. "I told him I wouldn't talk to the Commander if he killed Finn."
"Why does the Commander want to talk?" He asked.
"I don't know," she said. "But I think we should."
"You're kidding right?" He said. They had just killed so many Grounders. Talking wasn't something that he thought they would want to do after that. "Jo, we just slaughtered them. I don't think talking is going to do anything except get you killed!"
"We tried to talk to them from the start, but you and Jasper thought attacking was a better option," she said, referring to the incident on the bridge. "Maybe they've realized what we can do. Maybe they don't want anyone else to die!" That was the whole issue. No one wanted anyone to die. The Grounders didn't want their people to die and the delinquents didn't want their people to die either, so what they did was kill each other. Death was inevitable.
Before Bellamy could reply, Finn jogged over to them.
"We're leaving," he told them.
"What? This is where they'll come back," Bellamy said.

"I don't think they're coming back," Finn said truthfully. "The Grounders took them and you know that."
"We don't know that," Jovie chipped in. "All we know is they're not here and that we have to find them."
"Look... we go with Kane to Alpha Station. We get reinforcements, weapons, then we find our friends," Finn said. He wanted to find them just as badly as Jovie did, but they couldn't just jump into it like that. Jovie acted on impulse, but they needed to act on logic. Running off into the woods, unarmed and hungry was a sure way to get them killed.
"One question. How many more of us will be dead by then?" Bellamy pointed out. Jovie and him were already in handcuffs and Raven was barely hanging onto life. They didn't know what kind of danger the rest of their friends were in. Time was not something to be wasted.
"Abby says Raven needs surgery or she's gonna die," Finn said. Jovie looked down at her feet. She didn't want any of their friends to die, and that included Raven. So she ended up nodding her head, agreeing to go back to Alpha Station. It's not like she necessarily had a choice though as she was currently arrested. She just wanted to say that it was her decision to go back, rather than to be forced back. So this time when the guards came over to grab her and Bellamy, she went without a fight.
♛
It was a decent walk to where the Alpha Station had landed. It was quiet the entire way there, which Jovie couldn't decide whether was a good or bad thing. On one hand it meant they didn't have to fight any Grounders, but on the other hand, it showed no sign of their friends.
When the guard led Jovie into the camp, she looked over to see a sign that read "Camp Jaha" on the ground near the entrance. She couldn't help but let out a laugh.
"You've got to be shitting me," she said. She didn't personally know Jaha so maybe he was a good guy, but to her, he was just the Chancellor of the Ark.
People greeted each other around her, hugging and smiling. It just ended up pissing her off more because she wanted to be the one doing that with her friends, but instead the Ark was acting like they were expendable... once again.
A few people stared at her and Bellamy as they were escorted by the guards. She just stared straight ahead, pretending like none of this mattered to her. And it didn't really matter to her. She was glad innocent people on the Ark were alive, but what mattered to her was her missing friends. She wanted them to be alive and she would do anything she had to do to save them.

While the demon lord grasps the entire world in his hand, generals and comrades eleven of his most loyal and trusted serve as the extension of his will and power. Common world knows these beings only by their position's names. Fingers. Goblins goblins goblins... I hate those pesky creatures. Not smart enough to talk, but intelligent enough to kill. Well. In this world of madness where blood spills left and right fantasy creatures run rampart alongside crazed devotees of long dead gods all meanwhile the frickin Demon Lord is slowly gaining power in order to take over the world precisely without causing its immediate collapse, our little Gob will have quite a chance to find true strength and maybe even understand why humans often do stupid things for this weird word that starts with the letter "L". Who knows, maybe he will even get a better name than Gob in the process... The story is posted daily in short chapters (from 900 to 2000 words per chapter) The story is NOT an Isekai. It's a high fantasy story with isekai element's at best (Majin lord is a Majin after all). I spent some time to create a custom, magic system I hope to properly explore together with you my dear reader. So what are you doing? Go read those early chapters! The story is said to only get better after you drink it... I mean read it. Seriously. After 15 chapters you won't stop. I just feel like pointing something out. I never read "The Iron Teeth: A Goblin's Tale" which seems to be the first thing my fiction will be compared to... P.S. Cover artwork was made by my very own me (hurray me!) PM if you want something painted (no promises). I sometimes lurk in RR discord.

The Goddess of Death's Champion
Eliot and Cel start off the same as any other peasant and climb their way to the heavens. At least, that's what a cheesy hook might say, however, Eliot and Cel have always had the attention of the Gods, Eliot longer than Cel but by no God more important. Even if it is their destiny to achieve legend status, they started out some where, and with only the semblance of a head start, not to mention that it makes for an interesting story. (If you decided to read because of a specific tag, some of them only show up later on in the story. I should also mention that romance is a significant focus but there is no romance tag besides the one in genre)
