Everyone looked around the school and noticed the stairs to the 2nd floor were blocked. You all then went to your dorms and heard Monokuma's announcement, "It is now 10PM, soon the doors to the dining hall will be locked and entry at that point is strictly prohibited. Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!"
And soon enough you drifted to sleep.
After a while, Monokuma made the morning announcement, "Goooood morning everyone! It is now 7AM and nighttime is officially over! Time to rise and shine!"
You cursed at the announcement for waking you up, and finally convinced yourself to get out of bed. Making your way to the dining hall, you yawned and stretched your arms.
Once you entered, you made your way to the kitchen without saying a word. "Hmm... what kinds of food are there..?" You asked yourself. "All kinds! Italian, Mexican, American, you name it!" Monokuma informed. His sudden appearance startled you, "Don't scare me like that." You said.
"I was just answering your question..." He said before disappearing. You got a cereal and sat in one of the empty tables, by yourself.
You were calmly eating when you heard someone sit infront of you- maybe more than one person. You looked up to see Taka and Leon sitting there. You made eye contact with Leon for a brief second and looked down at your cereal and kept eating.
"We saw you sitting by yourself, so we came to join you! You don't mind... right?" Taka asked. Well... shouted. "Not really..." You said. You started to curse under your breath and began to feel uncomfortable. Ofcourse, they were staring at you. "H-Hey... are you alright?" Leon asked. "Hm? Oh, yeah." You replied.
You calmed yourself down to not worry them and decided to ask Leon a question, "Do you like any other sports besides baseball?" He thought for a moment. "Not really, as a matter of fact, I don't really like baseball. It's just something I'm good at." He stated.

You turned to face Taka, "Have you broken any rules before?" "What? No! I would never do such thing!" Taka answered. You giggled a bit to his response, causing both of them to blush a bit. But of course, YOU'RE TOO BLIND TO NOTICE!!
You all talked a bit more before everyone decided to look around some more.
You turned a corner and accidentally bumped into someone: Sayaka. "I'm sorry! I should've watched where I was going." You both said at the same time. You both then laughed. "It's ok." She assures. You both then continued to do what you were doing.
After a while, you got bored and decided to head back to your dorm. You never really bother to lock your door, you're used to your sibling(s)/parent(s) barging in out of nowhere.
To cure your never-ending boredom, you grab the notepad and start sketching and doodling on the pages. You hear someone ringing the doorbell.
Lazily getting up, you go see who it is. "Hello?" You say. Hina was at the door. "Oh thank god Y/n, we thought something happened to you!" She says. "Huh? How come?" You ask. "We were shouting your name looking for you." She informed. "Hm... I guess these rooms are soundproof then..." You state.
Hina then left to go tell the rest you were fine- 'Hm... not sure why they would care but ok...' You thought.
After an eternity, Monokuma made the night announcement. You laid in your bed and fell asleep. You didn't really have a dream. It was just a dark image. Yet it was... peaceful... After a long night, Monokuma made the morning announcement and asked for everyone to go to the gym.
You lazily got out of bed and brushed your h/l, h/c hair. You then started to make your way to the gym. Eventually, you were walking aside of Byakuya. "What do you think he wants?" You tried to start a conversation. "...Probably going to make a useless announcement which will be a waste of time." He says.

You both enter the gym and wait for the rest to arrive. From to corner of your eye, you see Toko staring at you... angrily... 'Is she mad at me?' You ask yourself. After a while, everyone else arrives. Ofcourse, Taka shouts at them, "What is the excuse of your tardiness?!" "Oh, we were getting breakfast!" Hina informs.
The podium starts shaking once more, and again, like the previous time, Monokuma jumps out from behind.
"Glad you could all make it! Puhuhu!" He starts. "Why did you ask for us to meet?" Byakuya asks. "Well, I've prepared a motive for you all! You haven't been doing anything, so I'm giving you a push!" Monokuma informs.
"Each of you guys are getting a disc, and in that disc is your motive! Puhuhu!" Monokuma then handed everyone a disc. "Please go to the AV room and take a look at your motive!" And with that, he disappeared.
After a while, most students made their way to the AV room. This included you.
You sat down, put the headset on, and insert the disc. It then started to play:
Your friends. They were on the screen.
"Hey Y/n!! We heard you made it to Hope's Peak!! You're so lucky you get to go there!!"
"When you become successful don't you dare forget us, ok?"
"Your older brother and his girlfriend had a kid! Isn't that awesome!"
"Man, I really wish we could see you, y'know?"
And then, the screen went dark. The disc, however, was still playing. "If you'd like to earn the privilege to face time your family and friends whenever you'd like, injure a fellow student and make it through the class trial! Puhuhuhu!" Monokuma's voice spoke.
The disc then stopped playing, meaning it was over. 'No... I wont hurt someone for that stupid motive. I won't!' You thought. Even if you really wanted to talk to them, you weren't going to hurt your classmates.
You then saw Sayaka run out of the room.

It's the beginning of a series I know I'm going to enjoy, with great writing and hints of deep in-game lore. Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
