"Ohhh, you two look good." Jasmine clapped walking into my room.
Quincy straightened his tie. " I know."
I turned and looked at Jasmine and hummed. "The twins are with your parents."
Jasmine frowned. "I know?"
"Right, and I didn't ask you to watch Travis because he's with your parents too."
"Okayyyy?"
"So why the hell are you in sweats and a hoodie?"
She shrugged. "I'm not going anywhere."
I rolled my eyes and walked up to her as I pulled out two passes from my back pocket. "I was going to bring Summer and Vanessa with me to the awards show since I assumed you would want to stay with the twins but," I shrugged meeting her eyes. "They have some stuff to handle so, here. If you want you can give the extra ticket to Rain or whatever."
"Wow, last-minute huh?"
I scoffed. "Give me my tickets back."
She chuckled and smacked my hand away. "Thank you Y/n," Jasmine slowly took the tickets and hummed. "You really wouldn't mind me bringing Rain? The guy I'm seeing?"
Oh, so they're getting more ser- None of my business.
I nodded. "That argument we had kind of resonated with me. I feel like a personality change is long overdue and it's time for me to...grow up."
Jasmine smiled softly and nodded. "I don't want your personality to change just...the way you go about things."
I nodded. "Right well, that too."
She bit her lip and straightened my tie. "What time would we need to get there?"
"Ummm," I looked back at Quincy. "You know?"
"Around 7:30."
"Damn so two hours ummm, well if I'm going to go I would need to leave now so," she met my eyes and smiled softly. "I'll definitely be there."
I smiled down at her. "Good."
She cleared her throat and pulled me into a quick hug before saying bye to Quincy and leaving.
"Weird."
I looked back at Quincy and frowned. "What?"
"Nothing, let's get ready to go-"
"Nahh nahh nahh, what?"
He chuckled and walked towards me. "You and Jasmine."
"What about us?"
He shrugged. "I don't want to say anything yet."
"Why not?"
"Shhhh, let's just go okay?"
I smacked my lips. "Bitch don't say nothing next time if you don't wanna tell me."
"Sorry daddy damn."
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my phone as we headed downstairs. "I'm scared, bro."
He paused and looked at me. "Bro? Dude, man, guy, but never bro. You good?"
I let out a shaky breath and gulped. "What if my shits lame-"
"Yoooo chill, your Y/n Y/ln, remember your name."
I nodded and clenched my jaw. "Right, let's go."

I chuckled and put my phone away just as the woman herself walked up to me with fucking Kehlani.
I might die.
"You better kill it tonight." Rihanna gently hit my arm.
"Nope, I hope you do bad." Kehlani crossed her arms.
I placed my hand on my chest and gasped. "What did I do?"
She raised a brow. "We haven't made a song yet, what's that about."
I grimaced. "You seee what had happened was..."
"Ohhh rightttt."
We chuckled and I looked at Rihanna smiling. "Thank you for wanting me to do good."
"Of course, not because I like you though," Rihanna raised a brow. "Only because I suggested you and I can't have it looking like I got bad taste."

I smacked my lip and nodded going to walk away.
She quickly grabbed my arm chuckling as I looked back at her. "I know you'll do good."
Kehlani held a finger up. "But, this is your first hugeee performance so a little tip? Remember this is your dream and no matter what anybody thinks you'll keep doing you."
I nodded. "Thank you Kehlani."
"Anytime." The lights flashed signaling that the show was about to start. "See you later."
They both gave me a quick hug and then walked away. Quincy rushed up to me and raised a brow.
I smirked. "I think I'm bout to fuc-"
He laughed and covered my mouth as he pulled me towards our seat. "Chillllll."
I laughed but that was cut short as I spotted Rain and Jasmine laughing as they held hands.
"You good?"
I nodded. "Why wouldn't I be?"
I walked up to them and smiled. "Rain, I haven't seen you since high school."
He smiled and stood up holding his hand out. "I can't say the same, I been seeing you all over."
I chuckled and grabbed his hand pulling him into a bro hug. "Shit I'm about to be saying the same thing for you. I heard you're going to be on The New Edition Story."
He nodded. "Shit is crazy."
I shook my head. "Nah forget that, sing something right now."
He chuckled and shook his head as Jasmine stood up.
She pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear. "Good job being nice."
"Thanks, I try." I whispered back as she chuckled and pulled away.
We all sat down just as my phone dinged.
🥰🤤❤️
I smiled softly and Jasmine nudged my shoulder. "Awww she's so supportive."
I smacked my lips and pushed her head away. "Nosey ass, watch the show."
"Bitch what show?"
I looked at the empty stage and then back at Jasmine. "Make up one."
She chuckled and rolled her eyes.
I looked over at Rain who was talking to Quincy.
"Isn't Rain bisexual?"
She nodded. "Yeah, why?"
I nodded towards the two as they laughed. "Better watch them, Quincy could steal any bodies man."
Jasmine's head snapped to the right and she snapped her fingers catching both Rain's and Quincy's attention. Jasmine raised a brow and pointed to the seat next to me, which is where Quincy is supposed to be sitting.
Quincy smacked his lips and stood as he walked over to sit by me. He plopped down and crossed his arms.
"Bitch ain't even that cute."
"What was that?" Jasmine leaned over me causing me to lean back. "Say that again."
I looked over at Rain and raised a brow. "I bet you missed these two."
He chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Hell yeah I did."
Jasmine sat back and Rain threw his arm over her shoulder as she leaned towards him and smiled.
I sighed and looked at a pouting Quincy. "I thought you were talking to Jimmie again."
Quincy shook his head. "He cheated...So I'm just fucking him."
I laughed. "I know that's right, use that dick."
He laughed and threw his arm over my shoulder as the lights dimmed.
I heard Jasmine giggle to my left and I laid my head on Quincy's shoulder.
This is going to be a longggg night.

My heart was pounding as I stood on stage. The crew was fixing my equipment and I tapped my foot as Steve Harvey continued to talk.

I was going to be performing in about a minute and I needed to calm down quick. I inhaled deeply and jumped as someone touched my shoulder.
I looked over at an out of breath Jasmine and raised a brow. "What are you doing?"
She panted and shook her head as she grabbed my hand. "I saw how scared you were before you left so I decided to run back here and let you know that you got this. Get over that stage fright quick okay? This is the beginning of your career and your sooo talented. You don't have shit to worry about everyone loves you so," she leaned up and pecked my cheek. "Give me a good show."
She slowly backed away and smiled before quickly running off stage.
I smiled softly and looked down as my heartbeat regulated.
I got this.
The crew members ran off stage just as all the lights shut off. I ran my hand through my hair as the crowd began to cheer loudly.
A red neon light cut on and I smiled as I looked up.
Like breathing, I instantly started to strum my guitar and I immediately felt at home.
"It's you." The crowd instantly went crazy and I felt goosebumps raise at how loved I was.
"It's always you. If I'm ever gonna fall in love I know it's gon' be you. It's you, it's always you.
Met a lot of people, but nobody feels like you."
I looked around at the crowd as I heard voices begin to sing along.
"So, please, don't break my heart. Don't tear me apart. I know how it starts. Trust me, I've been broken before. Don't break me again. I am delicate. Please, don't break my heart. Trust me, I've been broken before."
The lights turned white as a instrumental started and I placed my guitar behind me. White flower petals began to come down and I grabbed the mic walking away from the stand.
"Ooh, who could've thought I'd get you. Ooh, who would've thought I'd get you."
I walked towards the crowd of fans as I started the next verse.
"And when we're making love." The group I walked to got loud. "Your cries they can be heard from far and wide. It's only the two of us."
I held my hand out and a bunch of people instantly grabbed it. "Everything I need's between those thighs. Every time I look into your eyes I see it. You're all I need. Every time I get a bit inside I feel it."
I smiled and backed away from the group as I glanced in Jasmine's direction unintentionally.
"Ooh, who could've thought I'd get you, oh yeah, oh yeah, baby
Ooh, who could've thought I'd get you."
She smiled and raised a brow causing me to snap out of it as the lights turned back red and the instrumental faded.
I chuckled slightly as the instrumental changed once again.
"You told me I could trust you, don't lie. I could really use it," I walked around the stage as some dancers came from behind the stage.
"You told me I could trust you.
And I could really use it. So much I wanna talk about. But I ain't got no one to talk to. I'm always tryna work it out. But somehow it always falls through."
I backed up to the center stage and began slightly dancing with the backup dancers.
"And I know that I get rough. But I just wanna feel love, sometimes."
I bent down and looked at the camera. "Hood fame, everybody know my name when I come through, but don't nobody scream it like you," I licked my lips as I lowered my eyelids giving off a "sex appeal" as the choreographer said.
"I was having visions with you. Doing things, switching lanes in the Beamer with you." I stood up straight and rolled my hips to the beat causing everyone to scream.
I'm pretty sure I even heard Quincy's gay ass.
"And swimming in deep waters, save me from my sorrows, swimming in deep. Just some peace is all I need. So why can't I get that for free?"
I smirked as I walked away from the dancers and over to the other group of fans. "You told me I could trust you, don't lie. I could really use it. I could use your love."
I repeated my action and reached out to the fans as I finished my last verse. "You told me I could trust you. And I could really use it. Tell me I could trust you, don't lie."
The instrumental faded and I stood as the crowd cheered and clapped. "Thank you, BET!"
The lights shut out on my side of the stage and Steve Harvey began to talk again.
I cheered along with my back up dancers as I high fived them all. We walked backstage and clapped now that this shit was finally over.
And to think I was nervous.

"So are you two going to the after-party?" Rain asked as he wrapped his arm around Jasmine's waist.
I glanced at Quincy and we both shook our heads. "We've been up since 5 this morning so we're going to go home and cuddle."
He chuckled and nodded. "Well it was good seeing you again, um," he glanced down at Jasmine who shook her head. He smacked his lips and looked back at me. "We were wondering-"
"You were wondering." Jasmine cut him off as she rolled her eyes.
"Okay, I was wondering if you and your girlfriend would want to go on a double date with us Sunday."
Quincy snickered and I elbowed him in the stomach. "Me and my girlfriend, Vanessa, would love to have a double date...I think...I have to ask."
"My girlfriend and I but, whatever." Jasmine smirked up at me and I jumped at her causing her to fake flinch.
Rain nodded. "Well, just let Jaz know and we can set it up."
I nodded. "Cool."
We said our goodbyes to them and walked out of the stadium. Climbing into the back of the limo I groaned and laid my head on Quincy's shoulder.
"First, why would you say yes to a double date with the girl you're in love with? And second, since when was Vanessa your girlfriend?"
"I don't know why I said yes, I wasn't thinking and true, however," I grunted as I sat up. "I was planning on asking her tomorrow."
Quincy sighed. "You sure?"
I nodded. "Things have been going good-"
"For three days-"
"For the past year, don't do that."
"Don't you feel like your rushing it...Forcing it?"
I rolled my eyes and sat back. "I've known her for a year now, if anything this is long overdue."
He shrugged. "Yeah I guess," he smacked his lips. "I'm just ready for you and Jasmine to stop playing so y'all can get together."
I shook my head and chuckled. "Why do you want us together so bad?"
He looked over at me with a smirk. "I'm tryna get with Rain's fine ass." I laughed as he sat up and stuck his tongue out. "I wasn't out the closet back then but I am nowwwww and I'm trying to get with that man."
"Fuck, I love you."

8 146Wild Steam
Get on a train. Head east. Get on a ship. Travel further east, in style. See some wonders of the world. Find what was lost. Find where home is. How hard is any of that?Well, for Jake Ranger, pretty damned hard. The world being a wild, crazy mess from a global altering event called the Shattering doesn’t help much. Nor does being a famous folk hero. That last one really sucks, because people always run up to famous heroes and beg them for help with all their problems. Then there are the actual outlaws and monsters. They don’t help much either. Mostly they just get in the way and make everything way worse. And in a world that is so screwed up decades after the Shattering, there is a lot of variety to both outlaw and monster. Then there are the more civilized, (read: sane), non-human folk, and good old humans as well. They all get along just spectacularly. Totally best friends, on every level, for life. Of course getting to the east coast is only half the battle. Once there, he must contend with the so-called “civilized people.” Then there’s the ship ride; pirates and sea monsters are a thing too, after all. Should have read the brochure. But when the chips are down, the bad guys are winning and the wild winds of chaos are blowing, it helps to have a fighter on your side. Even if he is a little wild. After all, that’s not really a problem. That’s what beautiful women and lots of gold is for. Proper motivation is always key to success. Welcome to a Steampunk, Wild West, Victorian era, Lovecraftian infested, fantasy, shoot ‘em up world. Complete with a slow build harem of badass beautiful women, crazy adventures, and fun, monstrous villains. Welcome to the world of Wild Steam. Do enjoy your stay.
