"Y/n, good your here let me introduce you to someone," Jordan said when I walked through the door. "This is Stevie and he was interested in meeting you." A man with a scruffy beard and a long pointed nose smiled at me.
"Hi Y/n, it's nice to finally put a face to the name." He held out his hand for me to shake.
"Hi it's nice to meet you," I pulled my hand away. "So you're interested in my work?"
"Yes I am," he nodded. "Walk with me Y/n." He gestured towards the door and we both walked into the hallway.
"Your very talented and I love your photos." He started down the hallway.
"But?" I asked following him.
"But, all your pictures are of scenery and objects," he stopped and turned to me once we reached the elevator. "I want to make sure you can capture angles and emotions on people."
"Of course I can do that." I quickly nodded.
He nodded. "Yes and I trust you but, this business is serious and I need proof."
"So you want me to take some pictures of models?" I asked.
He nodded. "I need to make sure you capable of taking certain pictures if you're going to work for me."
"Yes I understand, I'll take as many pictures as you need." I nodded.
He smiled. "I love your enthusiasm kid." He pushed the down button on the elevator and pulled a card out of his pocket. "This is my number," I took the card from his hand. "Call me when your ready and we can set up a shoot with some of our models."
"Amazing, I'll be sure to give you a call," I smiled.
"Have a nice day Y/n." With that, he turned and walked away.
I looked down at the card with a huge smile on my face. This was long overdue, I need to make sure I blow his mind. Sighing, I turned and walked back into the studio. I just wish I could make money doing something I actually loved.

"We're looking forward to working with you Ms.Y/ln." The lady on the phone said.
"Same here, thanks." I hung up the phone.
"So?" Quincy asked, "I guess it went well?"
"It went perfect, they want me to come to the studio tomorrow to meet a model."
He clapped his hands. "That's dope, I knew you were going to get it."
I nodded. "Duh, I'm pretty damn talented." He scoffed.
"Sooo, you and Jasmine?" I asked.
He turned and opened the fridge. "What about us?"
I shrugged. "Just wondering why you didn't come home after you left the party with her."
He pulled out a box of pizza and looked at me smirking. "Adult stuff, you wouldn't understand even if I explained," he pulled out two plates. "Or maybe you would, we both know how much porn you watch." He chuckled.
"Woah," I frowned my eyebrows. "We shouldn't talk nor should you know how much porn I watch."
He paused then nodded. "Yeah," he put one plate in the microwave then grabbed another piece out of the box. "Yeah, your right."
I laughed as he took a bit of his cold pizza. "Someone's a little fruity." I said in a teasing voice.
"Shut up," he grumbled as the microwave beeped. "It's not my fault you don't use incognito mode."
I hummed. "Sure that's how you know what I do in my spare time," I got up and walked to the microwave. "Just know I won't judge you," I took my pizza out. "Whenever you decide to embrace your true side I'll be here." I patted his shoulder.
He shook my hand off his shoulder and walked away. "I'm not fucking gay Y/n," he muttered under his breath while I laughed.
Sure your not.
I hummed following him. "Hey um just wondering, do you think being with Jasmine is the best idea?"
He sat on the couch and smirked softly. "Jealous?"

I frowned sitting next to him. "Of?"
"The fact that you never got your chance with her."
I scoffed. "Dude what? I definitely had my chance with her."
"If that's what you want to call it." He shrugged causing me to pout and lean back onto the couch.
I definitely had my fucking chance with Jasmine...it's not like I want another chance or anything.
He slapped my thigh. "Don't get in your feelings I'm just saying."
"Whatever, you just love hurting me."
He smirked. "And you love when I hurt you."
I raised a brow looking over at him as he met my eyes. "Fucking freaky ass."
He winked. "Your freaky ass."
I laughed. "Hell yeah, that's all mine."

The next morning I pulled up to a huge glass building, my heart pounding. I stepped out of the car and took a deep breath.
Funny thing is I'm not nervous about taking photos I'm just nervous about being around a bunch of random models.
I walked into the fairly empty building and walked up to a desk in the middle of the open area.
"Hi, how may I help you?" The receptionist looked up at me.
"Um yeah, I'm here to see Stevie." I mumbled.
She nodded. "You must be Y/n Y/ln," she smiled. "You sure your here to just take pictures?"
I raised an eyebrow confused. "Y-yeah I think so, why else would I be here?"
She chuckled shaking her head. "His office is on the 8th-floor room 4, head on up."
I slowly nodded and started towards the elevator. "Aw, that was adorable." I turned to see Vanessa and of course, my heart had to turn into Speedy Gonzales.
Her hair was messy and she was rocking an all-natural look.
Fucking beautiful.
I shook my head. "What did I do to get a compliment this time?"
She pressed the up button on the elevator and hummed. "Is being called adorable really a compliment?"
We stepped into the elevator and I shrugged. "Hey, I'll take what I can get."
She pressed the number five and leaned against the wall. "She was obviously flirting with you."
I frowned. "Since when was confusing someone considered flirting."
She laughed throwing her head back. "Oh my gosh Y/n your so innocent."
"I guess I'll take that as a compliment too but, I'm far from innocent." I smiled at how cute her laugh was. "You have a really cute laugh by the way." She blushed and my eyes widened.
The elevator doors dinged open and she smiled walking out. "I'll see you around Y/n."
I pressed the number eight and scratched the back of my neck. "Yeah." I whispered.
"Keep that confidence." She winked and walked away.
The doors closed and I sighed. "You have a really cute laugh," I mocked myself. "Seriously?"
The doors opened and I walked out of the elevator heading towards Stevie's office. Once I got there I knocked. "Come on in!" He yelled from behind the door. "Y/n! Glad you made it."
I walked towards his desk. "I'm glad you invited me." Shaking his hand I took a seat.
"Ok let's get down to business," he clasped his hands together. "You're here to take pictures of one of our up and coming model, Vanessa Moe."
My eyes widened. What a cliche, of course I'm taking pictures of her.
"What we're going for are simple pictures no backgrounds or anything, I just want to see the angles you get." He said.
"Yeah cool, um are we starting soon?" I asked bouncing my leg.
"She just arrived so we'll be starting in about an hour," he stood and I quickly followed. "Have you eaten yet?"
I shook my head. "No sir."
He nodded. "Good let's go grab lunch and by the time we get back she should be ready." He walked towards the door with me following close behind.
This should be fun.

The Complete Alchemyst book 1
You've heard of superheroes, seen them flying across the sky, destroying great swaths of cities and ending countless innocent lives in order to defeat great evils and world-spanning threats and sell lots of sponsorships and merchandising opportunities. This is a story about the guy that is not those heroes. A supervillain in a world where making the right friends and political contacts is what separates the good guys from the bad. The Alchemyst is a story about a normal guy in a crazy world that spends his time trying to follow his dreams and conscience, working on new potions, thinking about girls, and lifting heavy shit, while trying to stay under the radar of the superheroes, supervillains, and governments that want what he can do. And occasionally turning them into makeshift melee weapons. If you enjoy The Boys, the Aberrant roleplaying game, Mystery Men, Trashy romances, Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, or SAW you may enjoy this book. Please note that this book has extremely graphic and sometimes gross fight scenes, heroes as villains, villains as heroes, opinionated and often politically incorrect characters, some graphic sex scenes, dad jokes, dirty jokes, realistic depictions of romance and flirting, bondage and dominance themes, and more than a few cuss words when they are really appropriate. This is NOT a superhero genre deconstruction. Many heroes truly are heroes, and they don't all need to be destroyed to make a good story, but it does look into the dark side of superpowers and the unreasonable and often contradictory demands placed on exceptional people.
