We pulled up to the party and got out of the car. Quincy tossed his keys at a pretty cute boy covered in who was standing by the door. "Be gentle with her she's very expensive."
"Um, sir there is no valet you have to park your own car." I laughed as Quincy took the keys from the boy's outstretched hand.
"Yeah, I figured that," he pushed me. "Stop laughing I'm going to park the car and I'll meet you inside."
I wiped my imagery tears and nodded. "Be gentle with her she's expensive," I mocked him. "That's a knee slapper." He shook his head and got into the car.
I chuckled and walked back to the door.
"Name?" The boy asked.
"Y/n Y/ln."
He nodded. "Go right ahead I'll make sure to let your friend in too."
I thanked him and walked into the building. The party was being held on the roof of a club.
Fucking fancy asses.
I walked to the elevator and got in, then an arm prevented the doors for closing and in stepped a girl.
"Sorry about that," she paused and smiled at me. "I'm Summer." She held her hand out for me to shake as the doors closed.
"It's fine, I'm Y/n." I shook her hand.
"It's nice to meet you Y/n," she bit her lip slowly dropping my hand. "I've never seen you around before."
I scratched the back of my neck. "Yeah, I um just got into the whole photography business about a year ago."
She raised her eyebrows. "Oh, your not a model?"
I laughed. "No, but thank you for thinking I could be a model." The elevator dinged and we both stepped out.
She turned to me. "Well Y/n you definitely have the looks to put all these models to shame," she ran her eyes down my body and I cleared my throat."I'm sorry I must be staring hard."
I chuckled. "It's fine I did dress up tonight."
She shook her head smirking. "Oh, it's not because you look good or anything, your fly is just unzipped."
My heart dropped and I quickly covered my junk with wide eyes.
She chuckled and turned walking away. "I hope I see you again before the nights over."
I looked down to see that my fly actually wasn't open.
Chuckling I shook my head smiling, that was kind of cute. Anyways, good job Y/n you didn't actually embarrass yourself. Fixing my shirt I walked farther onto the roof and looked around for someone I knew.

Or maybe I was looking for Vanessa.
Who knows?
"Y/n!" I turned and saw Gigi waving me over to her and Zayn.
"Hey." I said once I reached them and Gigi pulled me into a hug.
"I'm glad you didn't chicken out." She smiled at me.
"Y/n my girl." Zayn gave me a bro hug.
"Hey Zayn how you been?"
"I've been great, how about you?"
I shrugged. "I've been getting through."
He nodded. "So Gigi has been telling that you want to meet some photographers and show them some of your work," he wrapped his arm around her waist. "I can introduce you to a lot of people."
"Really? I'd appreciate it." I smiled.
He nodded. "Of course, you know I got you."
"Y/n." I turned to see Jasmine.
"Hey Jazzy." I hugged her.
"Hey, I just wanted to know if you invited Quincy." She smiled up at me.
I shook my head. "Wow is that the only reason you came over?"
She nodded. "Um, yeah kind of."
I rolled my eyes. "Well yes he is here, he's just parking the car."
She frowned. "Why didn't he just give the keys to valet?"
I raised my eyebrows. "There's valet?" She nodded and I laughed. "He should be up any second now."
She hummed. "Um about yesterday, you wouldn't actually be upset if I dated Quincy right?"
I chuckled. "Of course not, even though he's out of your league and could do soooo much better-"
She elbowed me and I jumped back. "I don't even know why we're friends."
I hummed and leaned down. "Is it possibly because you love me?"
"Hah!" She laughed loudly into my face causing me to jump away.
"Got damn that breath is foul." I heard Zayn and Gig chuckle.
"Whatever I'm surprised you could smell my breath with that big ass booger in your nose."
I gasped and leaned back covering my lose. "You lie."
She smirked and shrugged. "Possibly but you won't know unless you go check."
"Ohhh you bitch-"
"What's up guys," Quincy panted walking over to us. "Damn those stairs a horrible."
Gigi frowned. "Why didn't you take the elevator?"
"There was a fucking-" he smacked his lips. "I'm ready to go home."
I chuckled and pushed him towards Jasmine. Quincy then looked down at her and smiled. "Hey Jaz, I haven't seen you in what, 5 months?."

She smiled up at him. "Yeah about 5 months."
I cleared my throat causing them both to look at me. "Um, be honest with me Quinchilla do I have a booger in my nose?"
He chuckled and glanced down at Jasmine who raised a brow. "Possibly."
"Ughhh," I rolled my eyes. "I so didn't miss you Jasmine."
"Whatever you totally did."
I totally did.
"Anyways Jasmine tell me all about your trip and then tell me why it took you a month to contact me once you got back."
Oh, nice one Quincy.
"Y/n let us introduce you to some people." Gigi said and pulled me away from the pair.
Dammit, I really wanted to see Quincy "spit some game" as he says.
Shrugging I continued with Gigi.
Here goes nothing.

After talking to what felt like a thousand people I made my way over to the bar and sat on a stool. I looked around at everyone and then heard a voice.
"You look like your having a great time." I looked towards Vanessa who was smiling at me. I froze and just stared.
How can someone be so...fuck God took his time with this one and man oh man that dress is doing wonders for her body.
She smirked. "Oh no did I break you?"
I shook my head and chuckled gesturing towards the stool next to me. "I'm sorry you're just insanely gorgeous."
She blushed and sat. "Wow your bold and kind of corny, didn't expect that after talking to you yesterday."
I chuckled. "Yeah just kill my self-esteem."
She smiled. "Don't take it personally, it's kind of cute."
I bit my lip. "Just kind of?"
She nodded. "Yeah, only a little bit."
"I'm only a little bit cute but your good looking so thanks I'll take it." She chuckled and playfully rolled her eyes as I continued. "It's good to see you again Vanessa."
Damn that smile.
"You to Y/n." She held eye contact with me. I cleared my throat and looked away. "And the boldness is gone," she tilted her head to the side. "I called you cute, don't get all shy now."
I raised an eyebrow. "Technically you said my corniness is cute not me."
She squinted her eyes and shook her head. "Well, your pretty damn cute Y/n."
I smiled. "Mhm I know."
She laughed. "Remind me not to give you any more compliments." I laughed as her eyes flickered down to my lips. "So, how old are you?"
I gasped. "Don't you know it's rude to ask a lady her age?"
She laughed. "Hush and tell me."
I smiled. "I'm 19."
She frowned. "And you're sitting at a bar," she shook her head. "I'm kind of disappointed."
I pouted. "Aw, I don't want to give you a bad impression of me."
She laughed. "Trust me Y/n, you're doing great." I stared at her and she nodded. "Keep it up."
"Well, now that it's expected of me to quote on quote keep it up I'm kind of nervous."
She hummed. "Why are you so nervous?"
I scoffed. "Your not slick, you just want another compliment."
She smiled resting her head against her palm. "Dammit, you caught me."
I nodded. "Yeah but don't worry I'll keep them coming, with your cute ass."
She laughed. "Wow."
"Hey Nessa." Someone interrupted and I looked up to see the girl from the elevator, Summer. "We need to go, we're busy tomorrow." She looked over at me and smiled. "Hey stranger."
I smiled. "Hi Summer."
"You two met?" Vanessa questioned.
"Mhm," she turned to Vanessa. "She's the girl I was telling you about." Summer tried to whisper.
I leaned forward. "Are we talking about me?"
Vanessa laughed and pushed me away. "It was great talking to you Y/n," she stood. "I hope I see you again." And with that she walked away, my eyes following her every step.
"Looks like I got what I wanted." Summer touched my arm.
I looked at her smiling. "Looks like, now what are you going to do with this newfound opportunity."
She backed away smiling softly. "Nothing since I'm in a rush but, hopefully, I'll get another chance."
I nodded. "Hopefully."
"See you around Y/n."
"Bye Summer."
She looked at me for a moment longer and then walked off.
I smile shaking my head.
Hm, maybe I am cute.
I leaned back on the bar and held a finger up. "One vodka on the rocks bartender." I looked over my shoulder.
"Yeah nice try kid," he smirked. "I heard you say your only 19."
I frowned and looked back at the crowd of people. "By the way," he leaned forward. "You forgot to get their numbers."
Fuck.
"Oh, and you have a huge booger in your nose." He chuckled and walked away.
Ughhhh.

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.
