《Prince's Assassin Mate ✔》Chapter 54

Kendrick and the warriors rushed up the stairs to the fourth floor. He came to a standstill when he noticed the female facing him, standing there with a heart in her palm. He and the warriors raised their weapons, aiming at the female, and the rattle of their weapons drew Bruce's attention, causing him to turn around.
"Your Majesty!" Kendrick exclaimed in disbelief, and Bruce's face was hidden behind a menacing grimace. Bruce turned around with the female behind him, wagging his finger. When feral hisses surrounded Kendrick and his warriors, they shrieked. Bruce simply walked away as the creatures ripped the Lycans apart, their howls filling the entire hall.
"Liam! I need you to find and protect Seraphina. She's with Malcolm, and I suspect he'll try to use her demon. Keep an eye on her and keep her from shifting." Aiden ordered
"Until my last breath!" said Liam curtly.
"Nicholas and I will be fighting on the front lines. No creature shall come near our packhouse. We attack at my command!" They all walked out of the armory after Nicholas gave a curt nod. Dressed in full combat gear and adorned with weapons. The battle regiment has the strongest soldiers in combat; they don't shift unless absolutely necessary. They are deemed vulnerable in their beast form since they are unable to use body armour.
"Bring us victory Alpha, Beta!" Liam nodded to both of them and walked away to find Seraphina, while Aiden and Nicholas walked towards the Royal Warriors who were waiting there for them fully geared.
The Royal Pack's battle regiment. Shaped with the finest Soldiers the werewolves and lycan realm could offer, handpicked by Aiden himself from The Royal Training Academy. They are trained and groomed their entire lives to be the finest Killing machines. They are the ones who take part in every battle led by Prince Aiden and his Royal warriors. The King's Guard regiment serves to protect the Castle of Auhesraivia, and they are the best students at The Royal Training Academy. The battle regiment is only called in when there is a significant threat. They are also the smallest regiment with only a hundred soldiers, but the most skilled.
As Aiden approached the battle regiment's formation, followed by Nicholas, the soldiers parted to clear the way for him and his warriors. Aiden came to a halt directly in front of his soldiers, Nicholas a step behind beside him, and 15 Royal warriors in line behind them. In front of them stood their adversaries, those lifeless, dull creatures who had stood in front of them the day before. The battle regiment had already been trained to slaughter them and was awaiting Aiden's command.
"Weapons free!" As he drew his blade from its sheath, Aiden yelled. The battle regiment drew their automatic weapons, getting on one knee they aimed them at their enemies. Aiden thrust his sword into the air in front of him.
"Attack!" He commanded as he leaped into the air, lunging at the creatures.
"Attack!" Bruce said curtly as he stood behind the creatures in the shadows of the trees. The creatures charged towards the soldiers at his command. The quiet evening was obstructed by gunshots and growls. As he slashed his sword through the creatures, Bruce stood emotionlessly staring at Aiden. His blade was sharp and unyielding as he effortlessly cut through the creatures bathing in their blood.
"He is magnificent!" The female next to him said while staring at Aiden with awe in her eyes. Bruce glanced at her,
"He is," He said while completely turning to face the female.

"I wish to have him back in my arms." She said with gleaming eyes.
"You will, I promise. But only if you bring me her head." He said and her eyes flickered.
"She lived all these years because of you. Only because you pledged me I wouldn't be able to live without her plasma. But now that we've moved on and she's had the audacity to wish for what her mother desired, I want her dead." He took a step closer and grabbed her jaw, saying,
"And you will bring me her head." The female bowed her head and knelt.
"She is extremely powerful, my king." She is a valuable asset to you; she can bring you any kingdom, any land, and bring down your adversary all by herself. I believe you are already aware of this; you understand how useful she is if we can just regain control of her."
"Alright! You regain her control and bring her back or you bring me her head!"
"Anything for you, my King." He smiled, pulling her up and crashing his lips against hers. He drew back and pushed her away.
"But if you fail, I'll have your head and his!" He snarled and she bowed and walked away.
"It's funny how you spent your entire life being afraid to trust anyone and then trusted the one sent to destroy you!"
Malcolm laughed as Seraphina writhed in agony, attempting to free herself from the curse.
"Luna!" She looked around when she heard a male voice yell. Four warriors were rushing towards her; they were in the back corner of the packhouse, and no one had crossed this area or found them due to the sudden attack.
"Oh, look! Your devoted subjects have arrived!" Malcolm sneered.
"Get the hell away from her!" As they drew their swords, the warrior growled.
"How come I didn't find that even remotely threatening?" Malcolm shook his head and crossed his arms. He glanced at Freya, who stood up and nodded. The warrior charged at them, but he came to a halt and winced as he looked at Freya. She held his heart in her hand and threw it away like it was trash, and the warrior collapsed to the ground. She sailed with the wind, and in an instant, the rest of the warriors were dead and lying on the ground.
"My finest assassin! Even though she lacks experience and some skills. I believe you will hone her!" He clapped his hands.
"And why would I do that!" She growled through gritted teeth.
"Because that's what I desire and you will fulfill it. You seem to have forgotten a lot of manners!" He cocked his head as he knelt. When he reached out to touch her, something sharp flew by his air, but before he could figure out what it was, a scream of anguish rattled his throat. Blood ran down his arm like external veins before spilling carelessly onto the grassy surface.
"Don't you dare to put your filthy claws on her!" Liam growled, one of his hands around Freya's neck, a sharp dagger in his hand. Malcolm was shaken by the sudden attack, and the curse broke for a brief moment, giving her the chance. She kicked Malcolm in the groin, causing him to writhe on the ground in agony. Freya jerked back in Liam's grip, and he pressed the dagger against her neck.
"Don't even think about it; I'll cut you so deep that you won't be able to heal in time."

"Sure go ahead!" She said indifferently, and he glanced at her eyes, which flickered for a moment before Liam slashed open her throat and beheaded her. Seraphina's head turned towards him as her body fell to the ground with a loud thud, and he shrugged with a cold face.
Seraphina feels the air whoosh around her and turns around to see Malcolm's murky face vanish, his gaze fixed on Liam. Seraphina turns around, and Malcolm immediately walks into a blazing roundhouse kick that rattles Liam's skull. Liam begins to fall, and his other foot slams into his rib cage. Seraphina's eyes widened; Malcolm was fast, really fast, and his telepathy gave him the upper hand in almost every situation. But he, too, was caught off guard. Back and forth. Left leg, right leg With each kick, he was lifted and forced to stand. Liam wraps his arms around his head and holds him up while launching vicious knee shots into his ribs.
Pain explodes in Malcolm's chest as his ribs snap. His breathing comes labored. His legs are Jell-O. He wobbles as Liam punishes him with an uppercut that sends him crashing to the ground.
"You have no idea how long I've been looking forward to this." Seraphina frowned as Liam growled. All she could do was stand there clutching her abdomen, trying to focus on anything but the shooting pain. Liam moved steadily towards Malcolm, his sword hissing as he drew it from its sheath.
"After you took her away from me, you had given me no reason to live. But it was the pure desire to slaughter you that kept me going!" Liam's eyes were so dead that she felt she was staring at a different person.
He had pure hatred in his eyes, nothing more or less than the desire to see his blood splatter soaking the ground. Malcolm laughed and slowly stood up, wiping the blood from his chin.
"If it ain't the Gamma! Don't worry, your precious mate is safe and sound in my bedroom, serving endless males and fulfilling their desires every night. If she ain't the finest piece of flesh, I don't know what is. Her taste is almost addictive!" His words fueled the fire in Liam's eyes, and he swung his sword at Malcolm. Malcolm smirked and began teleporting once more, but something drew him forward. He looked down to see a rope wrapped around his leg and lifted his gaze, a subtle smirk on Liam's face.
"Even if she's alive, I'm not going to let you live!" Snarled Liam.
"Liam!" Seraphina beckoned, but he was focused solely on Malcolm. He swung his sword and beheaded Malcolm in one swift motion. Seraphina stared at Liam with wide eyes as he laughed sadistically, falling to his knees. He was gone! The man who had tormented her for years was gone, truly gone! Does this mean she's finally free? When she heard a grunt, she lifted her gaze. A dagger was stabbed ruthlessly behind his back as blood oozed from his wounds, dousing the grass. Her mouth dropped open as Liam looked at her with cold eyes and coughed blood.
"Luna, find her for me!" He muttered as he fell face-first to the ground.
"Though it is the blood of vermin, it's still beautiful when it splatters!"
"Wouldn't you agree, my dear?"
"M-mia!" Seraphina gasped.
'Alpha!'
'Liam! What is it?' Aiden responded via their link as he heard his Gamma trying to push through the barrier.
'Please come, it's the Luna!' He barely uttered,
'Liam, what happened? Where are you!' As he slashed through the creatures, Aiden became agitated. They were never-ending, pouring into the field like rain.
'At the packhouse's east corner!' It was the last he heard of Liam.
"Nicholas!" Aiden called out to his Beta.
"Yes, Alpha!" As he swung his sword, Nicholas responded.
"You are now in command! Show no mercy!" Aiden growled as he leaped across the battlefield towards the packhouse's east corner.
"A-all this time! Why! Why would you pierce me in this way? You were my Godmother!" Seraphina quivered, her eyes wide with the agony of betrayal.
"I only wanted to keep you safe, my dear!" You are a flower of darkness, and the world is bewitched by light." She stepped closer to Seraphina and she stepped back.
"You said you were taking me away to keep me safe, but you gave me away so they could use me to their hearts' content!" She shook her head.
"You said I belonged here! In this world! I am deserving of what the Goddess has bestowed upon me!" Seraphina hollered,
"I did, but I wasn't aware that their beguiling words would lead you astray and confuse their world for one full of light. How flummoxed you must have been as you sought to bind the Demons and Wolves! Please forgive me, my dear, for leading you to this!" Mia's eyes welled up with tears as she took a step closer to Seraphina.
"This world is full of delusion; they make you believe that if you are good, show kindness, and love, you can bring peace and prosperity to the world. But this world only seeks to conquer; they seek blood, war, and the rise of themselves at the expense of others. They aspire to be at the pinnacle. You could never bring peace to this world. But you could decimate them and force them to submit to you before they come for your head. You could keep your subjects in comfort. By slaughtering others!" Seraphina's eyes were cold and uncertain as Mia drew her into her embrace.
"He wishes for your head, but I told him how potent and erudite you are, and that with the right guidance, you will conquer everything and forget about your ridiculous fantasies!"
"Get the hell away from her!" When Aiden's voice hissed, she turned around.
"She has never required your guidance and will never require it in the future! Her dreams are true and they will be achieved!"
A smile sprouted on Mia's face as she saw Aiden.
"I can't express how delighted I am to see you! But please excuse me! I have to reclaim her. But I assure you that I will return to see you!" Mia turned to face Seraphina.
"Come on, my dear!"
"She isn't going anywhere!" Aiden snarled.
"Fina, come with me! Or do you intend to harm him?" Seraphina lifted her eyes as Mia said coldly.
"My dear, you are a flower of darkness. Flowers that bloom in the dark can only be at ease in the dark. You must come with me!"
"Seraphina!" Aiden called out to her.
"You are wrong!" Seraphina said calmly, her gaze dropping.
"I'm not a flower of darkness! I have seen the brighter world and I don't wish to go back to a world where light doesn't exist!" She raised her gaze and Mia shrieked.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Dwarf While Trapped in a Dungeon Full of Spiders
Thousands of years ago, mankind would honor their dead and their journey to the afterlife through the process of mummification. The elaborate tombs and burial rituals marked our transition from hunter-gatherers to civilizations and empires. However, it's been over 500 years since we've sent tributes to the underworld, and now the underworld, or whatever lies beyond, has decided to send something back. Authors Note- This story is inspired by DnD, Dark Souls, Guild Wars 1, and my love of eldritch horror and dark creepy dungeons. Also completed doesn't mean end of the line. There is more Mike Sammons in the future, promise.

Children of Danu, People of Skill Book 1. (LitRPG/Gamelit)
Hi all, this is my first attempt at fiction ever. I'm sure it's awful, first attempts at new things usually are. Hopefully you can find something you like in it. I had a great deal of fun writing it. It's a basic Litrpg/Game, God sends you to a new world to do their bidding plot. I Know I did too much telling and not enough showing. I'm working on that. The underlying system is one haven't seen or done much. a full Point Buy system, like Gurps, Champions or the Hero system. After writing it a while, I see why folks don't do it. The record keeping is tedious. And once you start doing math in subsequent chapters, you can't go back and add more action, just because you dread redoing all the math. I've got about 80k words written in two "books" on the novel so far. I'm going to edit chapters and try to drop a couple a week till it's finished. Hopefully that will work for folks. I need to punch up the amount of action. I'll be working on that as well. Thanks, Cal-P.S> The cover art is one of the two CIrce Paintings By Waterhouse.
