《Prince's Assassin Mate ✔》Chapter 46

PS: I have been listening to the song linked above while writing. Hope you will enjoy it while reading!
His beast stood there baffled, the female's eyes closed as she drifted out of consciousness. He could tell she was a witch and a powerful one at that. When he heard a twig snap, he turned around to see two of his lycans approaching. They bowed to the Alpha and looked at the unconscious female with questioning eyes. Aiden ordered through the link
"Take her to the infirmary and make sure no one knows she is there. Her presence in the pack territory must be kept confidential!"
He dashed towards his castle as the lycans nodded and bowed.
They ran into the castle while he was still in his lycan form. The unfamiliar smell of the Demon King and the female made his nose scrunch. When they saw Emmerich sitting in the lounge with the Beta and Gamma, the female tucked by Nicholas's side, his beast growled. Hilda simply stood up and stared at him with a cold face, while Nicholas and Liam stood up and bowed their heads. When Aiden got closer to the stairs, Emmerich stood up.
"Where do you think you are going, šunsnukis?" Emmerich snarled, and Aiden's beast growled, causing the stone castle to tremble.
(Dog)
He turned to face the Demon, his canines protruding from his mouth, saliva dripping down his snout. In a threat, he snapped his jaw at the Demon.
"Please, Your Majesty! Let him go." Nicholas pleaded the King
"I'm sure Lady Eldrid would want to see him as much as he wants to see him."
"Her name is Seraphina! Princess Seraphina! I'd be waiting for you here, šunsnukis. I will destroy you if you even touch a hair on her head!" Emmerich snarled as Aiden climbed up the stairs.
An ember glow blankets the sky, and dusky golden rays soaked the dim chamber. She stirs beneath the warm blanket as consciousness gradually coats her mind. Her eyes flutter open, and she slowly sits up. Her brain replays the last few scenes of the afternoon as she wakes up. His claws molded around her neck, his accusing eyes, and the tinge of raw hatred. Her grandfather's broad eyes were filled with astonishment. It all felt like a hazy dream that she sought to not believe. When the doors of the chamber unlocked and the beast walked in she knew they weren't a dream.
She had seen his beast from afar before, but this was the first time she had seen him up close. Aiden had to keep pushing his beast in order to keep him in check and prevent him from pouncing on her and have his way. Denzel fought his way out for days, clawing at the barrier in an attempt to reach his female. But he was always deprived of her essence and he had to keep watching her through Aiden's eyes. Aiden hadn't expected to see her awake, and now that she was and staring right into his glowing eyes, it was impossible to keep Denzel from lunging at her. Aiden attempted to take over and shift, but Denzel was adamant about meeting his moon-blessed. He attempted to drive Denzel out of the room but Denzel threw him back in the barrier and growled. Seraphina sat under the blanket, wide-eyed, staring at the beast. Denzel turned his head towards his female and walked closer to her, his predatory gaze locked on her. Seraphina attempted to remove the blanket from her but was stopped when the beast growled. Cora was already by her barrier, staring in anticipation at the beast approaching them. Denzel approached her and nudged his snout in the nape of her neck, inhaling her scent. Her beasts gleefully purred inside as his cold snout nudged the skin of her neck. Denzel drew his snout from the nape of her neck and glanced at her, his gaze sweeping over his hazel eyes, her small freckled nose, and her pink luscious lips. Engraving all of her features in his mind. His chest vibrated with a low growl, and he licked her cheek, surprising her. She looked at him with wide eyes, and he paused before licking her face repeatedly, eliciting giggles from her. She laughed heartily delicately grabbing his face. Her fingers caressed him as they laced into his soft black fur. He closed his eyes and stopped licking her face, soft purrs erupting from his chest. He opened his eyes and put his large head on her lap, and she smiled.

"I'm delighted to finally meet you, my Prince." With a smile and a small bow of her head, she said. Denzel licked her knuckles, expressing his delight at finally meeting her.
"As much as I'd like to spend more time with you, there are some things I need to discuss with Aiden." She spoke lovingly, and his beast whimpered, his eyes adoringly fixed on her.
"Please, my Prince, I promise to spend some alone time with you later." She stroked his head gently, while the beast nudged his snout with her torso and licked her cheek one last time.
He stood up and flung to the closet. She sat up and hugged her knees, leaning against the headrest. His beast is diametrically opposed to him, just as Cora is diametrically opposed to her. They have different emotions, perspectives, and opinions on everything. Even though she and Aiden were on the edge, his beast had nothing to do with it, and she couldn't possibly push him away.
"Princess Seraphina Throndsen. You lied to me, again. Why isn't that a surprise!"
He leaned against the closet doorframe, arms crossed across his chest. Seraphina raised her gaze to meet his.
"You made up your name again?"
"That's my middle name. And how can you expect me to tell you the truth when you conceal the most important secret and lie?" She said calmly
"At least I didn't hide my identity!" He stood up straight
"At least I didn't hide my chosen!" She sat up straight, growling lowly
"At least I wasn't the one killing innocent wolves!" He growled and her face fell
"It's not like I enjoyed killing them!"
"It makes no difference, Princess! When your parents were murdered, you fled, leaving your subjects to fend for themselves! You ran like a coward! Even after I found you, you continued to run and lie! Over and over again!" He growled walking closer to her.
"More than a year we are together, how much time we spent together. You still didn't consider telling me your truth! How could you! How could you conceal from me, lying to me for all this time!"
"What was I supposed to tell you Aiden? Hi, I'm Princess Seraphina a demon, an assassin who killed those Alpha's, Lunas, and ministers of your kingdom. Oh, and did I mention that I have no control over my demon and that I can shift at any moment against my will, destroying your pack? And also I am a slave of the notorious Lord Malcolm. As I'm a hybrid everyone wants me to use as theirs but I gave myself to Malcolm. Is this what I was supposed to say?" She blurted out, and he stared at her, speechless.
"Was I supposed to tell you this that, my parents, your King and Queen died because of me? And I ran away like a coward! My parents died in my own hands, my hands are red with their blood! And the life I ran to served me just right! It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for me! Your pack didn't find me worthy just because they thought I was a human. You think they would have accepted me if they found out I was the one killing those wolves and I was the one to blame for their beloved monarchs' death! You think the Kingdom would have accepted me even if I didn't run?"

"No one would have accepted a murderer. Heck, you were even looking for me to murder. Do you recall the demon in the fire? I almost burned you alive! Even after all of that, you expected me to tell you the truth?" She paused and lowered her gaze. The air was growing tense slowly. He didn't say anything and after a moment, she started speaking with a low voice.
"Aiden, I'm not worthy of having a mate. I am incapable of protecting or loving anyone. I am not worthy of something as precious as love. I only annihilate things, and I only annihilate happiness." She paused again and looked at him.
His rage was visible in his eyes.
"I don't care that you are to blame for their death, I don't care that you are a monster," in a moment he was over her, his hands gripping her jaw.
"You are worthy, you are the only version of you that I want, that I crave every passing second. You are great, you are powerful, you are my whole universe! You are my Queen! I only care about the truth and you! Never say again that you aren't worthy of love! You can annihilate me wholly and I will still care for you, burn for you!" He said, as his chest buzzed with growls. His eyes were gleaming gold. She had been devouring his words with a spark in her eyes, but her face soon turned cold, and she released her jaw from his grip. She shook her head and laughed bitterly,
"You confuse me, my male. You have your claws around my neck one moment, blaming me for your brother's death, lie to me about your chosen. And the next you tell me you only care about the truth and about me. When clearly you feed on lies someone served you. You choose to believe what was served to you rather than what your moon-blessed has to say. I had no recollection of the incident till this day, and you blame me for your brother's death?" She cocked her head, staring at him.
"Tell me, Your Highness. Who served you the lies that you chose to believe over your moon-blessed?" When she questioned him, his face darkened. She could tell there was a war raging inside his head, so she remained silent. He jumped out of bed and stormed out the door, slamming it shut behind him.
She closed her eyes and sighed. When she heard footsteps approaching the room, her ears perked up. The doors flew open, revealing a bewildered and outraged Demon peering at her. As soon as he saw her safe and sound, his eyes softened. He walked closer to her, a soft smile on his lips, and gently embraced her in a hug.
One of his hands held her gently, while the other stroked her hair. He held her tenderly as if she were a figment that would vanish at any moment. She sat there silently, never returning his hug. She chewed on her lower lip as tears welled up in her eyes.
"Mano Princesė!" He sighed softly as he exhaled a sigh of relief. She had never seen her grandfather in such a precarious position.
"Bijojau, kad daugiau tavęs nebepamatysiu!" His voice quivered, and that was all it took for her to come out of the haze and embrace him.
(I thought I won't ever see you again.)
A flood of tears gushed down her ashen cheeks as she silently sobbed on her Grandfather's shoulder.
"It's all right, Mirties Angelas! It is okay!" He gently stroked her hair.
(Angel of Death)
"I'm so sorry for what I did. I could never hurt them, and I never intended to do so." She sobbed quietly.
"I understand. You loved your parents far too much to even allow an insect to bite them. They loved you equally with all their hearts, kruvinas mėnulis!"
(Blood Moon)
"I didn't leave any stone unturned in my search for you over the centuries. After your mother and my Karalien, you are all I have." He spoke to her with such gentleness, as if a harsh tone would rip her apart.
"I have no idea how harsh the world was for you, how much you had to endure. Please forgive me for I couldn't reach you sooner." He drew back and wiped her tears.
"Don't apologize, Tėtis. Please don't. I should be the one pleading for your forgiveness. Please forgive me! I took your daughter from you!" She lowered her gaze as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"No, my kruvinas mėnulis! You are not to blame for their murder. You were simply caught up in their scheme."
"You don't know anything! Stop assuaging me with lies!"
"I'm not lying to you."
"I saw them burn to death right in front of my eyes, in my own fire!" She wailed
"By the time Cora took over, they were already dead."
