《Prince's Assassin Mate ✔》Chapter 11

Writers POV
The air surrounding them suddenly got stiffer as he stared at her intensely. His blues collided with her hazels and they seemed to be lost in each other.
"You are mine, Ariel; only mine. Do you understand?" She nodes
" I want a verbal answer, little mate. Do you understand?"
"Yes," she mumbled. She felt vulnerable in front of his gaze. His gaze moved from her neck, which now bore his temporary mark, to her parted lips. His eyes get another shade darker as his eyes linger a little longer on her lips. His gaze returns to her neck, and a glint of pride twinkles in his eyes.
"That should do for the time being."
He smirks and stands up, releasing her hands. He gets out of bed and stands on the marble floor. She sits up and stares at her hands and fiddles with her fingers.
"I'm going to the bathroom to take a shower. Do you wanna join?" He flashes her an irresistible smile, almost making it hard for her to refuse.
"I promise you will love it."
He coaxes with his voice taking a sexy low tone that makes her stomach curl. She was tempted.
"I think I will pass." She turns her head in the opposite direction, crossing her arms across her chest. Her breasts perk up as the baggy t-shirt material dwindles under her hands. His gaze follows her every move until it comes to a halt at her chest, his eyes darken even more than before. Feeling his gaze on her, she returns to look at him and frowns when she caught him looking at her chest.
"My eyes are up here, mister." She says this while pointing to her eyes.
Coughing, he clears his throat and looks into her hazel brown eyes.
"We could have saved water, but I'm afraid I'll have to shower alone ." He shrugs and turns to go to the bathroom. She inhaled the air as if she had risen from the depths of the ocean when the bathroom door clicked shut. She's at a loss for what to do next. How to get away from the life she had been avoiding for so long. She is at a loss for what to do when fate intervenes. She said she was his, but she still doesn't believe she is his. They'll find her, sooner or later. They will, she is for certain. And when they do, they will not just simply cone and fetch her. But for the time being, she must find a way to avoid Prince Aiden as much as possible. And it must begin with washing away his lingering scent that now coats her. She goes into the closet to look for something to wear.

As she only has the pair of pants and top she was given by the maid earlier which is now smells exactly like Aiden. The closet is full of Aiden's clothes and not finding anything else she grabbed a shirt and a pair of gym shorts.
She was pacing back and forth when the bathroom door opened and Aiden walked in wearing nothing but a white towel that was hanging dangerously low on his hips. His well-toned body was on full display. His hair was wet and water was dripping from his wet strands sliding over his well-sculpted abs travelling all the down to his 'V' disappearing under his towel. She was drooling over his body, fantasizing about what she could do to him.
"Like what you see, mate?"
A smirk form on his lips as he is well aware of his good looks and well-built body and her drooling over him only seemed to boost his ego.
"I have seen better." She responds confidently, composing herself.
"I highly doubt it," he says as he approaches her.
"Aren't you just full of confidence?" He was now directly in front of her. Ariel leans forward until her mouth is close to his ear and whispers in an alluring tone,
"Allow me to burst your bobble, Alpha. I've seen a lot better than this and had a lot more amazing experiences. So it would take a lot more to impress me." She says this while pointing to his abs. She walks straight towards the bathroom, but he grabs her wrist, pulls her into his hard chest, and pushes her against the nearest wall, caging her once more.
"Don't worry, little mate. I promise you, you'll be screaming my name at the top of your lungs, begging for more, and I won't stop until you forget your name and you can't stand up straight." He brushes his lips over her ears and around her neck, whispering. His words send shivers down her spine. She quickly composes herself and mutters confidently.
"We shall see what happens when it comes down to that. But I highly doubt it." She pushes him away from her and walks into the bathroom, locking the door from the inside.

She sat under the showerhead for a long time, until the water temperature dropped and her skin scrunched. She dried herself with a clean white towel before changing into a shirt that reaches just below her butt cheeks and gym shorts. She stands in front of the mirror, just staring at her reflection. After all this time, fate drew her back into the castle's walls. How her life, as she knew it, had turned upside down. Her entire life as she knew it had changed because of a man. She takes a deep breath; she's been in the bathroom long enough and she knew he could hear everything she's doing. Not long after, he calls out from inside the bedroom,
"You coming out, princess? Or you plan to sleep in there?"
She rolls her eyes and walks out of the bathroom, only to find the Prince sitting on the bed in nothing but grey sweatpants. His hair is still a little wet and messy, giving him a sexy look. His blue eyes grow darker as he focuses on her, who is dressed in a shirt that only covers her upper body and butt cheeks and wearing a gym short of his. Her long, beautiful legs were on full display for him. His breathing becomes laboured, and a low growl escapes his lips.
"I didn't have anything to wear, so... I borrowed your shirt," she rolled her eyes as she walked towards the bed, he following her every movement. He was about to say something when there was a knock on the door, he opened it and took the platter of food and placed it in front of Ariel.
After dinner, they sat in awkward silence, with the Prince occasionally growling as she moved and the duvet shifted, revealing her legs. "I want to sleep," she said as Prince Aiden placed the platter on the bedside table.
"I know," he said as he slid inside the duvet.
"I'm not going to sleep next to you." She said this while crossing her arms over her chest.
"You've already slept next to me. Twice, actually."
"Have you ever heard the term 'consent'? I was unconscious."
"Yes, the first time, but the second time you slept on your own accord just before 24 hours. Do you remember, princess?"
"Well, I don't want to anymore and stop calling me that." She huffs, and the next thing she knows, she's on a soft pillow, the Prince hovering over her caging her between his arms.
"Listen here princess, you are lucky I haven't chained you to my bed and let you walk freely without my mark on that pretty neck of yours, and after you ran away from me three times. And I don't intend to let you sleep in another room without me beside you after years of waiting, and I won't respect this wish of yours, little mate."
There was no chance for her to argue as he lets go of her and lies down beside facing her, drawing her closer to his hard chest. As he inhales her scent, his hands secure around her waist. She could feel his bulge on her buttocks, and after a few moments of discomfort, she finally relaxed in her mate's arms as his scent engulfs her, luring her to deep sleep. Only if her nights were peaceful.
