《Prince's Assassin Mate ✔》Chapter 10

Writers POV
It's been quite a few hours since the Alpha abandoned her in his bedroom. With each passing second, her impatience grew. She attempted to break through the door, but the guards stationed outside appear to be uninterested about her existence. She finally takes in the room after being in it for the third time. In the centre of the room is a California King-size bed. A dark-grey duvet with simple white designs, a few puffy pillows, one of which bears the palace emblem, a dark marble fireplace flanked by a lounging chair of black and gold velvet, and another set of chairs placed in the massive balcony with white curtains on the door and massive tall windows. The black and grey coloured walls are flawless; there is no trace of the fire she had set the last time she managed to run.
She begins working out to pass the time after planning another escape from the vast palace. Her broken rib and all the cuts have healed, but she is still unable to reach her beast or vampire. She is also unable to use her magical abilities. Around 1 p.m., there was a knock on the door, and an older woman entered with a platter of food. Another woman comes up behind her, carrying a set of clothes. They were both dressed in white shirts and black skirts, indicating that they were palace maids. The maid left, bowing to her, after placing the set of clothes on the bedside table, and the older maid placed the food on the bedside table.
"His Highness is caught up with pack affairs and will be unable to join you before evening. My Lady, I was told to accompany you on a tour of the Alpha wing after you finish your lunch." She politely informs her. She responds with a nod.
"Please change into these clothes after your shower. I'll be waiting for you when you're finished." She says as she bows and walks away.
She collapses on the soft bed, face plumping. She returns her attention to the platter of food after looking at the set of clothes. Her stomach growls with hunger, and she takes the pair of dark jeans and blush pink top with a sigh after storming into the bathroom and locking the door behind her.
After taking a warm shower and drying herself with a soft clean towel she changes into the set of clothes and leaves her hair to dry. She steps into the bedroom and sits down on the soft bed taking the platter of food and finishing it. No matter what happens she will never say no to food.
They've been wandering around the castle's Alpha wing. The Alpha Wing is located on the third and fourth floors of the castle. The Alpha wing reflects both the castle's modern and traditional sides. They were walking around the hall, which had portraits and pictures on the walls. The marble floors were adorned with opulent carpet.

"And that's His Highness's private office." The maid's pointed towards a room at the end of the hallway. Her name was Megan as she had introduced herself when she came out of the room after lunch.
"A lot hasn't changed since the last time I was here." Looking at the double door at the end of the hallway, she murmured to herself.
"Yes, My Lady?" Megan asked politely.
"Nothing." With a small smile, she responded.
"What's in there?" She inquired, pointing to a door on the right.
"Oh, that's His Highness's private library," Megan said, looking at the door she was pointing.
"I hope His Highness won't mind if I spend some time in there?" she asked Megan.
"I suppose it's okay if you do," Megan said, puzzled.
"OK, great," she exclaimed.
"Now if you will excuse me My Lady I shall go back to my chores," Megan said, waiting for her to excuse her.
She thanked her and Megan walked away after bowing and telling her to enjoy her time in the library. She looked back to make sure she left. She walked into the library when Megan took the turn at the end of the hallway and was out of sight.
She entered the library and walked around to the back of it without wasting any time. The last row of the library contained ancient books dating back a few thousand years. However, the books did not have the old look that indicated they had been well cared for. She shuffled through the books, coming to a halt in front of a book titled "Fibula de Vera Basileus," (the tale of the true king) a smug smile spreading across her face as she pulled the book forward. With a rattling sound, the secret passageway hidden behind the bookshelf opened. She walked in and shut the door with the lever that was placed there. The passageway, dimly lighted itself leading her to a stone-built stairway. She dashed down the stairs and through the vast passageway that brought her in front of a wooden hatch door.
She opened the wooden hatch door which made a cracking sound. This door leads to the forest at the back of the territory. She climbs out onto the forest surface and takes off quickly. Because she knew this side of the territory is heavily guarded and she will be caught if she doesn't hurry. She runs as fast as she can, but she does not use her vampire side because she and her other beasts are weak. She suddenly became aware of her lycan's presence, who was at the back of her since yesterday's conflict. Her beast was attempting to reclaim control as she felt she was drifting away from their mate. She was already exhausted from the previous day's fighting, and her beast was now slightly more powerful than her. But she can't let her beast take control, not here. Suddenly, her beast pushed over the edge and fur started taking place on her pale skin.

She whimpered and fell to the ground. Her beast kept attempting to take control, but she will not allow this to happen. She pushes harder to find her vampire. Her beast finally gave up after a few moments of struggling, and she stood up and began running. She couldn't reach her vampire, as if she didn't want to come out and help her escape. Her pace was slow, but she kept going. She was baffled when she clashed on a hard wall in the middle of the forest. She looked up and was met with brightly glowing golden yellow eyes. They were raging with anger, but there was also a sense of relief in them.
"Are you going somewhere, mate?" His voice was dark and icy cold, making her shiver.
Standing tall and crossing her arms over her chest, she quickly composed herself. She replied without emotion, looking him in the eyes.
"Yes."
"And may I ask as to where?" He, too, crosses his arms over his chest in imitation of her.
"Home," she said and he tossed her over his shoulders and began walking towards the castle.
"Where are you taking me! Put me down!" she screamed, but his grip on her didn't budge.
"I'm taking you home," he said firmly.
"In case you didn't know, my home is that way," she said, pointing back to where he got her. He doesn't respond and instead begins sprinting at an inhumanly fast pace. They were inside the castle in a flash, in the Alpha wing and the Prince's room.
He threw her down on the soft and growled hauntingly. Hovering over her, he grabbed her hands with one hand, placing them over her head, and cupped her face with the other. As he leaned in closer to her ears, she let out a weak whimper. Her skin was being brushed by hot breath, which caused her heart to race.
"I will fucking tie you to my bed if necessary, but you will NEVER leave me, and even if you manage to flee, remember I will ALWAYS find you and bring you back to where you belong, which is with me! By my side!"
"I w-will leave. Let m-me g-go," she sputtered, and he turned to face her. The look he was giving her caused her throat to dry up. His beautiful blue eyes were a few shades darker now. Filled with lust and desire. It was almost as if he was about to pounce and devour her whole, but instead, he wanted to make her sweat. He wanted to play a dangerous game that would have her running for the hills at the end.
He gently pressed his soft lips against her cheeks and muttered
"What's your name mate?"
"U-umm, Ariel?" She answers frowning and he hums.
"I'm Aiden,"
"I k-know Your H-highness." She was getting distracted by the kisses he was showering her with.
"Call me Aiden. Not Your Highness nor Alpha." She hums in answer
"I want a verbal answer, Ariel." Her name rolled off his tongue perfectly but somehow it didn't feel right.
"What are you gonna call me?" He asks again.
"Aiden." His name rolls off her tongue smoothly and his chest vibrates with a low growl of approval.
He begins raining kisses over her jaw down her neck. He places hot open-mouthed kisses all over her neck, trailing down towards her shoulder. She bit her lower lip to muffle a traitorous moan that threatened to escape her. He was aware of what he was doing to her, but he has no intentions of stopping. He was nipping and sucking her neck until he picked up a spot. When he kissed the area where her neck meets her shoulder, he started sucking and a moan escaped her lips. Her back arched as he began to glaze his teeth over the area. He began biting and sucking at it as if he was marking his territory. He paid such special attention to that spot that made her yearn for more.
He placed one last kiss softly on that spot and looked her in the eyes. His husky deep voice cut through the damp air like a blade, sending shivers up her spine in delight. His warm breath blew into her ears as he mumbled a sentence full of promises hidden beneath a threat of consequences if she chose to disobey
"You're not leaving me. Not now, not later, not ever. You are mine and only mine! Nobody can take away what's mine! Nobody! Not even you! Do you understand, little mate?"
She just nods, breathing heavily, and with just one look into his eyes, she knew there was no room for her to say otherwise.
She was his! He will find her even if she chooses to hide in the darkest and deepest pit of hell. He will make her his and she can do absolutely nothing about it!
