Language in this chapter, sorry it's a little boring

Chapter 12

I waited patiently outside my dad's office. He'd been on the phone for the past thirty minutes and I was about to tell him I needed to go home and I was possibly carrying two of his grandchildren. This should go so well they should write a book about it.

"I'm done now Baila, you can come in now."

"Hi." He smiled his most loving smile.

"What's up?"

"I'm going home tonight." His eyebrows furrowed.

"So suddenly?"

"Yeah..."

"May I ask why?" He questioned.

"I'm pregnant. Twins possibly." HIs eyes widened.

"Does your mother know?"

"No, I just told her I wasn't."

"Baila, why would you do that?"

"Dad, no one can know that I am. Absolutely no one."

"What aren't you telling me?"

"Seth's wolf can't know I'm pregnant, thus everyone can't know I'm pregnant."

"Ah, I see how that can be a problem. What do I tell your mother?"

"I just said Alex has some Alpha business and it was time to go since he and Jacob have both been gone for a while." He sighed.

"I suppose you and Alex have to do what you two think is best. I truly will miss you though sweetheart." He got up from his desk to give me a hug.

"I'll miss you too, daddy." He smiled.

"You better bring your kids here after their born. I can't wait to see them." I smiled. "I am so proud of you and Alex. You'll run Silver Moon amazingly."

"Thanks dad." He kissed my forehead.

"Best get going." He said with teary eyes.

"Yeah, I suppose so."

We both went into the family room where Kelsey had all her bags stacked and ready to go. She had a lot of crap in her ten bags she packed. The last of my stuff sat next to hers. I only had two bags. The rest was already home.

Alex shook my father's hand firmly and my father told him that he'd better take care of me. My mom gave Kelsey one final hug then she turned to me. She gave me a huge smile and a hug.

"You're sure you aren't pregnant?" I nodded.

"Well, you better tell me when you are. Then you can come and have your baby here!" I sucked in a breath.

"Mom, I need to be with my own pack. Any kids Alex and I have are going to be born there. In our pack. That's what it means to be the Alpha and Luna."

"Ugh. We'll talk."

"You'll lose that talk mom." My dad nodded agreeing with me. She just stomped off. Sometimes she could act really immature.

"Ready to go, Baila?" Alex called. I nodded and he put an arm around me.

"See you, Andrew." My dad smiled at us. I waved and twisted my ring and we all appeared back in the pack at Alex's house.

"Okay, first things first. We're going to see Rachel." Rachel was our pack doctor. She was the best ever. She always knew what to do, it was no shocker considering all the schooling she had done.

"But baby, I want to take a bath."

"Baila, we are going to see the doctor, whether you like it or not."

"Ughhh." Jacob laughed.

"Man, this is only the beginning. You've got six months of this." Alex let out a silent groan. "Gotta love pregnancy hormones."

"Yeah, and don't they only get worse?" Kelsey nodded at him with pity.

"Atleast, you don't have to go the whole nine months like humans do..."

"I saw and heard that..." I said slightly offended.

"Sorry baby, but don't think you're getting out of seeing the doctor." Now it was my turn to groan. Alex smiled.

We both walked out to the car and Alex opened the door for me. He quickly kissed my on the forehead and shut the door. By time we got to the office I was really excited. I had just remembered that Elliot said we would be able to find out how many kids we're actually having back at our pack. Alex laughed at my sudden mood change.

"Alex, we have to go."

"Baila, slow down."

"Whyyyy??"

"Because, If you hurry you'll put strain on yourself and our children?" I stopped.

"Oh, sorry." He nodded and opened the door for me.

When we walked inside the office it looked like any regular doctor's office. People sat in waiting room chairs, kids played quietly with toys on the floor. All eyes, however, were on us. Everyone got up and did small bows to their Alphas as we walked past. Some said hellos others just stayed silent as we walked up to the reception desk.

"Hi do you have an appointment?"

"Shelby, do we need one?" The receptionist looked up at us and she smiled. I'd never met this girl.

"Why Alpha Alex! It's been a while since you've been by to see me. How has it been?" Her eyes roamed his body. I gave Alex a curious look. He told me he hadn't had any girlfriends before me aside from his other mate.

"Good, Shelby this is my mate, Baila. We need to see Rachel."

"Oh, what's wrong with the big bad Alpha?" She said flirtatiously. I growled, she didn't even acknowledge my presence, which I considered very rude.

"My mate's pregnant?" He stretched out the mate part.

"Mhmmm yeah, well if you need anyone to wait with, the back room is normally empty we could just..." I grabbed the girl by the front of her shirt at the point and dragged her outside. No one talks to my mate like that, ever. "What the hell?" She screeched.

"My mate, MINE." She laughed.

"Alex doesn't have a mate."

"Does too, I'm his second chance mate. Get it? Plus, can I add I'm also your Luna."

"Pshh, no you aren't I would have heard about it. You're probably just some Slut he banged while drunk." My mouth fell open and I went to shift when Alex grabbed hold of me.

"Baila, the babies! You can't shift, they'll die."

"You have ten seconds to tell me what she is to you. 10...9..."

"She is just a slut in my pack buying for my attention. I swear I've never slept with her! I'm not that type of guy to go after desperate girls." I looked at the chick in front of me. She'd climbed to her feet and shot daggers at me before flipping me a beautiful finger while Alex's eyes were on me.

"I want her out of our pack." Alex nodded.

"I do have to ask reasons? Other than coming on to me?"

"Disrespecting her Luna."

"Fair enough." He mind linked Jacob who sent our third in command Eli to take care of it. Eli took her to the prison where we'd deal with her when we didn't have a doctor's visit.

All set Alex, good luck with the visit. Hoping for twins! Eli mind linked Alex and I ten minutes later. Alex laughed.

So are we He mind linked back. Just then Rachel came in with a Ultrasound machine. She smiled at us as we greeted her.

"I'm so sorry for the commotion outside Alpha, if I had known you'd be here I would have met you myself."

"You're good Rachel, just you may need a new secretary. Sorry about that."

"Nah, Shelby was on the road to being fired anyway." We all nodded.

Rachel put some cold blue jelly on my stomach and I shivered. Dang that is cold... She then put the stick on my stomach moving it around. Alex held my hand tightly as we both tried to breath. It didn't take long before Rachel smiled at us.

"What are you hoping for?"

"Best Case, twins, worst case a miscarriage." Alex and I would be crushed if I had a miscarriage. We wouldn't know what to do. Rachel's grin just got wider though so we knew that wasn't an option.

"How do you feel about two sets of twins?"

"What?!?!?" We both said.

"You're having quadruplets. It looks like two sets of Identical twins." I nearly passed out. For babies at the same time. Oh gosh. "We should be able to determine the gender in a week. Baila, this pregnancy is going to go by really quickly. I need you both to know that now. The more pups in a liter the quicker the pregnancy goes, okay?" We both nodded. "Congratulations!" She laughed.

"Thank you," We both said.

Quadruplets. Lord help me now...
