Kelsey on the Side!

Chapter 9:
Alex, Jacob, and I all stayed at my parents house for a while. Of course, Alex had to go back every once in a while to sort pack things out, but other than that, his third in command had a lot of it under control. Jacob was enjoying time with Kelsey, and I couldn't say having time with Alex without the pack was such a bad thing either.
It was now early morning at my pack and I snuggled up to Alex's bare chest and let out a sigh of contentment. A moment later my stomach began to turn and gurgle. I lept of the bed and ran into my bathroom. I fell onto the floor and emptied my stomach contents into the toilet. I'd had the flu for the past few days. It was starting to really get to me. Alex came in, and like a good mate held my hair back for me as I vomited. I gave out a groan and brushed my teeth when I was done.
"UGHHHH! I feel like crap!"
"Baby, are you sure you don't want to go see a doctor? You've been sick for four days now." Wow, has it been four days already?
"Nah, I'm fine. It's just a little flu."
"Baila..."
"Alex, it's fine. I know when I'm in need of a doctor."
"Okay," I kissed him after I brushed my teeth.
"No need to worry."
"I'm your mate, I'll always worry." I laughed at how true that was.
"I know, just like I worry about you." He smiled and kissed me one more time.
"Your father asked Jacob and I to train some of his fighter who were lacking, being as we're the strongest pack in the country."
"Awwww...helping you future father in law. How nice." I joked. He laughed.
"That's me, the nice mate. Try to get some rest, okay? I'll be back in about two maybe three hours." I nodded with a smile. "I love you."
"I love you more."

"I love you most." He kissed me hard to prove it.
"Doubt it but okay." He smiled and walked out the door.
I threw up one more time before going back to bed with a groan. Then there was a knock on my door. I gave another loud groan. Why do people have to disturb me, I just got back in bed! My mom and Kelsey walked in all chipper and excited. My mom had a plastic bag behind her back. I just flopped down on my pillow.
"I am resting go away." I snapped. Kelsey just flopped on my bed.
"Well Judy Moody, we have a couple questions for you. As to your crankiness and vomiting."
"I have the flu! That will make anyone cranky."
"Darling, just humor us...please?" My mom help a pink box and my face blushed instantly. It was one of those pregnancy test kits. They thought I was pregnant! I laughed.
"You guys have to be joking. There is no way I am pregnant!"
"Baila, just humor us. Please? We're your mom and best friend."
"Besides, we know you two don't use protection, and I want a grandbaby!" My mom squealed like a little girl.
"Mom!" That spiked my anger a little bit. It made her sound like she just wanted the baby not worried about me at all.
"Luna! That isn't the way to handle this."
"Well, atleast I speak the truth."
"Okay, I'll tell you what. I will take the damn test on one condition."
"Yes?!?" My mom squealed. She was getting so freakin annoying.
"Only Kelsey is with me when I do this, and I'll take it in my own time."
"What? But darling I am your Mother!" She stressed the mom part.
"Yes, but these kind of things are best done with a best friend, mom. Plus, no offense, you being here makes it sort of awkward."
"Ugh. Fine, as long as you take it." She sounded like a whiny teenager. With that she walked out of the room shutting the door harder than necessary to prove how mad she was, pregnancy hormones...

"Well, that was awkward." Kelsey exclaimed.
"Tell me about it. So why do you guys think I'm pregnant?"
"You're moody, vomiting, and you're late." My eyes widened. I hadn't even noticed! Kelsey knew me to well. I would've asked her to borrow stuff if I'd been on time...I was fourteen days late now. "Plus, the maids know all and all meaning when you and Alex yeah..."
"That's disturbing..."
"Just a little..."
"I'll tell you what?"
"What?"
"Mind link Jacob to see when he and Alex will be home first. Then that will decide how many games we play of war (game where you flip cards on a regular deck of cards and highest card wins). Best two out of three or three outta five. Whoever wins, picks when I take the test."
"You're on!"
While Kelsey mind linked Jacob I found our large deck of cards. My heart was pounding. I couldn't be pregnant. There was no possible way. However, Kelsey did have a point. All the signs lead to it. There was no denying that fact...
"They'll be here around six o'clock PM, it's ten right now. I'd say best two out of three will suffice. Then when I win, it gives us enough time to take the test and process."
"Or when I win...argue about how I'm going to put it off till you force me to take it." Kelsey laughed.
"I am definitely winning."
I shuffled and dealt the cards. The first game went by really fast seeing how I had almost all the high cards to start with. I could see Kelsey starting to sweat a little. She was too curious to know if I was or if I wasn't that she'd probably die if I won. The next game I dealt again and lost. Now it was my turn to panic. I wasn't ready to be a mom. I was only eighteen. That is too young to have a child. However, I'd have to find out sooner or later. The last game decided it. Kelsey let out a whoop in victory and threw a bottle of water and the box at me.
"Drink Up Girlie because you're gonna take that test!" I groaned. Five minutes later, three tests were sitting on the counter processing and Kelsey and I sat on my bed. I was panicking.
"Why are you so nervous, Baila? You and Alex will be amazing parents."
"I don't know Kelsey, what if we screw up? What if something happens to the baby? What if I have a miscarriage?"
"The chances of that for an Alpha are like a bazillion to one! There is no way that will happen to you. Knock on wood." We both knocked on my wooden bed frame.
"I'm still nervous." Kelsey then thought of something.
"Dude, I'll be there with you the entire way!" She screeched.
"What are you talking about?"
"My mate is your mate's Beta! I'm moving to California!" My eyes went wide.
"OMG YOU ARE!!!!" I hugged her.
"We can paint the nursery, and shop for clothes, I'm going to spoil him/her rotten!"
"We have to confirm it yet. Besides, Alex might want to do some of that with me too." She smiled.
"Yeah, I guess so. I'm still going to spoil them rotten."
"Oh dear..." We started giggling.
Then the timer on my phone went off signaling the tests were done. My heart stopped and everything went silent. We both slowly walked to the bathroom clutching each others hands. I'm sure Kelsey could see my heart visibly thumping out of my chest. I was so nervous in that moment. I was glad I put up a barrier in my mind so Alex couldn't feel my emotions. Oh Gosh Alex. How would he react? He'd probably be overjoyed. What Alpha isn't when finding out he's going to be a father. We both stared at the tests on the counter. Both our hearts stopped beating.
"Kelsey..."
