"Kim Jisoo, please report to the principal's office." The speaker boomed in the hallway causing the said girl to look up from her locker. She furrowed her eyebrows together, confused on why she was getting called up. The principal's office usually meant that the student were in some kind of trouble. All her four years, she managed to stay away from that place.

"What sort of trouble have you gotten yourself into, Kim?" Jennie joked, throwing her girlfriend a sly smile. She leaned against the lockers by Jisoo's as she waited for the girl to gather her books for their next class.

"Fuck." Jisoo cursed under her breath. She combed through her dark hair and groaned. She had been stressed the past two weeks trying to catch up to the schoolwork she had missed. On top of that, she was also studying for the upcoming finals. She didn't want another thing to add.

Jennie noticed the distress in Jisoo's voice and automatically straightened her posture. She caressed the pale girl's arm and rubbed it soothingly. "Chu, you okay?"

"Uh yeah... yeah. Don't worry about me, Jendeukie." Jisoo deflected. She placed her hand on top of Jennie's and faked a smile at the brunette. "It's probably nothing. I mean, w-why would I get in trouble, I didn't do anything... right?"

"Are you asking me or telling me?" Jennie replied with an amused face.

"Both." Jisoo husked. She took Jennie's hand off her arm and brought it to her lips giving it a chaste kiss before releasing it. "I'll catch up with you later, okay?"

"Do you want me to walk you there?" Jennie asked her voice filled with concern. She was growing worrisome for the older girl. Ever since Jisoo had been back to school, all she did was study. She knew Jisoo was serious about her grades but she never really thought of the girl to be so studious.

"No, no. You'll be late for class. It's fine, I can deal with this." Her girlfriend responded as the brunette stepped around her.

"Are you eating lunch with us today?"

"Oh, uh, I don't know... studying in the library."

"See you after school then?" Jennie said hopefully. Her face fell as she heard Jisoo's reply.

"Sorry, babe, but I have to stay after to finish my art project."

"Okay... um, se-"

"I'll come over." Jisoo said quickly not wanting to disappoint the brunette. She walked backwards to try and compromise something with the brown-eyed girl. She needed to study but she also needed to spend time with her girlfriend.

"You don't have to. I know you're busy."

"I want to. I'll never be too busy for you."

Jisoo ended the conversation there. She turned around and walked briskly to the principal's office. She hoped for the best.

Jennie waited until she no longer saw Jisoo's figure down the hall before proceeding to go to class. It's been a couple of weeks since her and Jisoo made it official. They've told their closest friends about their relationship, which couldn't be happier for them. From there, word spread around and soon the whole school knew.

Though Jisoo was busy during the weekdays, she always devoted her weekends to Jennie. Weekends spent making out, cuddling, talking, watching movies, and the occasional going out for food. Nothing extravagant. Even though Jennie wished they had more time together other than a couple of days, she knew that Jisoo's studies were important.

The setter walked in her class just before the late bell rang and trudged over to her seat next to Lisa.

"Almost late. You sneak in a quickie with Jisoo?" Lisa teased.

"No." Jennie retorted despondently. After she told her best friend about her relationship, the middle hitter had made sure to endlessly tease her about it. She had gotten use to it and brushed it off. She kept her eyes trained on the board as the teacher began the lesson.

"Still sore from the weekend loving then?" The Thai pressed on.

Jennie's cheeks heated up. Last weekend got pretty intense between her and Jisoo. Shirts were off and some groping came in play. It was the farthest they've gone.

"Ah ha! So it was!" Lisa exclaimed.

Jennie snapped her gaze on her best friend and growled lowly. "W-we, um, haven't gone that far, Lisa." She yelled in a hushed tone.

Lisa's eyes widen at the admission. "Wait seriously?"

Jennie glanced back at the board then back to the taller girl. "Yes. Uh, we got close this weekend but my mom came home early."

The Thai snickered quietly. Jennie rolled her eyes and shoved Lisa harshly before turning her attention back to the lesson. She picked up her pencil and started scribbling down the foreign words.

"Do you miss it?" Lisa asked curiously.

"Miss what?" Jennie stuck her tongue at the corner of her mouth as she wrote down the notes on the board.

"You know..." Lisa leaned closer. "Sex."

Jennie simply shrugged and continued with the notes.

"So you don't miss sex?"

The brunette groaned. This girl is relentless. She thought.

"Kinda. I don't know. I don't really care for it." Jennie answered half-heartedly. The last person she had sex with was Irene and that last time they did it was so long ago that she forgot when. Truth was she missed sex a lot. Plus, just the thought of it with Jisoo made her all hot and bothered.

"You're lying." Lisa pointed out, knowing her best friend too well. "You and Irene basically jumped each other's bones whenever you could. It's been months, Nini. If you ask me, I'd say your forecast down there is dryer than the Sahara desert."

"Fuck you." Jennie dropped her pencil and glared at the Thai.

"Just saying."

"Well stop saying!"

"Okay, geez." Lisa grumbled. "Someone needs to get laid."

Jisoo entered the main office shyly. She walked up front to where the secretary was and cleared her throat making it known that she was present. The woman looked her way and smiled brightly.

"Miss Kim." She greeted. "How are you today?"

"Um, I'm good. Thanks for asking, Ms. Frey." Jisoo responded in a quiet tone. "I, uh, I was called for something..."

The fear in the student's voice was evident causing the blonde to laugh softly. She shook her head and gestured for Jisoo to the couch behind her. "Take a seat, Jisoo. The principal will be with you shortly."

Jisoo nodded and flashed a small smile at the woman before following instructions.

"Oh and Jisoo, you aren't in any trouble. Loosen up a bit, hun." The secretary informed.

The girl felt like a large amount of weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She wasn't in trouble. She could relax now. Her butt was just about to hit the cushiony seat when a large man emerged from a closed door.

"Ms. Kim!" The man exclaimed. He had a warm grin splayed on his lips and his blonde hair slicked back held in a mini ponytail.

"Morning, Principal Hemsworth." Jisoo gulped as she stood straight and fixed her posture.

"Please, call me Principal H." He replied in a playful tone. He was young, good looking, and interacted with his students' daily. Though he was nice, Jisoo still can't help but feel intimidated and scared.

He opened his office door and motioned Jisoo to come in. The girl scurried past him and clutched her books tighter as she set foot in the office.

"You want to take a seat?" Hemsworth offered as he pointed to the chairs in front of his desk.

"Sure." Jisoo squeaked. She walked over to one of the chairs and waited for the man to talk.

"How are you, Jisoo?" The blue-eyed man queried. He strolled over to the front of his desk and leaned against it while he talked with the student.

"I'm good, sir." The dark haired girl answered.

"Has it been like what, 4 weeks, after the accident?" He questioned.

"Yes, sir."

"Everything going well? With your studies and health?"

"For the most part, yes. I'm still trying to catch up with the projects and essays that I've missed. Plus, finals are around the corner so I'm starting to study for that as well." Jisoo said without hesitation. She was a nerd, what can she say.

"And your health?"

"I'm still taking some medication. Got a few scars here and there and I have minor headaches that come and go. But other than that, I'm fine."

The man bobbed his head approvingly and crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Good."

Jisoo raised an eyebrow and stared at her principal. She still doesn't know why she's there and all the questions he was asking her weren't giving her any hints either.

The man looked Jisoo right in the eyes and frowned. "Ms. Kim, you've been expelled."

"WHAT?!" The pale girl shot up from her seat and dropped her books.

"I'm kidding. I'm kidding." The principal started chuckling. He placed a hand on Jisoo's shoulder and signaled her to sit back down. "I'm sorry I had to. Did I scare yah?"

"Sir." She let out a shaky breath.

"Jisoo. You are a straight A student with an overall GPA of 4.5, captain of the volleyball team, president of science club, and participant of at least 4 other clubs. Why in the hell would we expel a student as hard working as you?" The principal praised. "Jisoo, you are here because, I have the honor to tell you that you had earned the title of valedictorian for you class. You beat out the competition. Congratulations."

The pale girl's jaw dropped. Last time she checked, she was neck in neck with three other seniors. She didn't expect to out do all the others. To be the valedictorian was such a privilege and after all that's happened in the past weeks, she thought for sure she had lost the race.

"Ms. Kim?" Principal Hemsworth cooed.

"Huh." Jisoo gaped.

"Still in shock, I see."

Jisoo blinked a couple of times and looked up at the beaming man. "I beat all the others?"

"It would appear so." He grinned.

"Oh my god." Jisoo scoffed in disbelief.

"Such an accomplishment. Don't you think?"

"Yes, yes! A big one. I can't wait to tell my dad. And my mom!" She smiled to herself. "I can't wait to tell Jendeukie."

The big man pushed himself off his table and lifted his arm up to Jisoo. He held his hand open for a handshake. He was pleasantly surprised when the smaller girl engulfed him with a hug instead of a formal gesture.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!" Jisoo chanted as she embraced her principal. After a few seconds she let him go and quickly picked up her dropped books from the floor before making a bee line to the exit.

"Wait, Ms. Kim!" The principal called as Jisoo was about to leave the room. She stopped her tracks and turned her head towards the tall man.

"Yes, sir?"

"In three weeks time, graduation will take place and because you are valedictorian, you have an obligation to deliver a farewell speech in front of your class. It could be as long or short as you want but make it memorable." The man smiled broadly. "My advice, keep it close to your heart. Congratulations again."

Jisoo nodded and smiled back to her principal. Keep it close to your heart. She knew exactly what to write on her speech.

-

"Rosie, share your tater tots with me! I'm your girlfriend. What the fuck!"

"It's mine."

"Haven't you heard of: 'what's mine is yours, and what's yours is mine'?" Lisa scoffed as she tried to grab the piece of fried food. Rosé smacked away the girl's hand and shot her a menacing look.

"My food is my food." The taller girl growled.

"Arghhhh! I just wanted some tots." Lisa exasperated. She threw her hands up and turned her attention to Jennie, who had been watching them intently. The brunette glanced between the two girls and blinked a couple of times in incredulity.

"Wow... I can't believe you guys are dating." Jennie lifted her eyebrows and looked down at her tray. She picked up a piece of lettuce with her fork and stuffed it in her mouth.

"Whatever, Nini." Lisa grumbled.

"Hey at least Lisa get's some." Rosé defended the Thai and gave her a quick kiss on the girl's cheek.

Jennie's head snapped up with wide eyes. She focused on her best friend and flared her nose. "Lisa! You told her!"

"I tell her everything..." Lisa replied nonchalantly.

"BUT THAT! That's private!" Jennie countered.

"Sorry." Lisa said with remorse. She shrugged and turned her head towards Rosé. "It's just so easy to talk to her."

Rosé smiled widely at Lisa. "Baby..."

Jennie rolled her eyes and dropped her fork. "How the fuck did you guys go from fighting over tater tots to making googly eyes at each other in one minute?"

The couple ignored the brunette and continued to eye fuck each other. Just watching the two girls made Jennie miss Jisoo, who was once again in the library to study. The pale girl had missed the past couple days of lunch due to her studying. Though Jisoo had told Jennie she would try to harder to make it to lunch, she always ended up losing track of time. So when Jennie felt arms snaking up her torso from behind she flinched.

"Hey beautiful." A low, sexy voice husked in Jennie's ear causing the brunette to grin. "You miss me?"

Jennie slowly turned her head to the voice hoping that she wasn't imagining any of it. She was met with lively, brown pools. Her favorite.

"Jendeukie." Jisoo said in a sultry tone. "How's my girl doing?"

"Not too well but now that you're here..." Jennie bit her lip as her eyes flickered down to Jisoo's lips.

"Yeah?" The older girl breathed, leaning closer to Jennie.

"I'm doing much better." Jennie whispered before closing the gap between them. Their eyes closed in sync as their lips connected for a languid kiss. Jisoo's arms untangled themselves from Jennie's body and moved up to cup the girl's face, pulling her closer. Both girls smiled within the kiss causing their teeth to clash with one another.

"Ahem."

Jisoo didn't know who it was but decided to pull away, however, Jennie grabbed on her neck and brought their lips back together.

The brunette knew her friends were the ones eliciting the noise and she didn't care.

"Jendeukie..." Jisoo giggled knowing what her girlfriend was trying to do. She opened her eyes and broke the kiss. "Babe."

"No, Chu. Kiss me!" Jennie whined as she revealed her puppy brown eyes. She stuck out her swollen lips and batted her eyelashes.

"Please, don't." Rosé implored from across the table. Jennie whipped her head at Rosé's direction and glared her down.

"Hey..." Jisoo chuckled lightly, turning Jennie's head back to face her. "I have news."

Jennie's features softened. She tilted her head and stared quizzically at her girlfriend. "What is it?"

"Yeah, Jisoo. What's the news?" Lisa asked curiously.

The dark haired girl looked briefly at the Thai then to Rosé, who both seemed eager to know. But Jisoo thought Jennie should be the first to know, so she pulled Jennie towards her and whispered something in her ear.

Lisa and Rosé leaned closer to try and listen in to what Jisoo was saying. Lisa huffed in displeasure when she couldn't hear anything. She saw her best friend's eyes widen and got even antsier.

"What?" Lisa queried. She placed her hands on the table and tried to come closer. The moment she heard Jennie gasp and cover her mouth with her hands, she hopped off her seat and tugged on Jisoo's shirt. "WHAT!"

Jisoo opened her mouth to answer but her girlfriend beat her to it.

"MY GIRLFRIEND IS A FUCKING GENIUS!" Jennie declared. She grabbed Jisoo's face and started peppering it with kisses. Jisoo laughed at Jennie's reaction as her cheeks turned bright red.

"Jendeukie." She said bashfully. "Stoppppp, you're embarrassing me."

"Um, hello? Can you please fill us in?" Rosé waved to the duo in annoyed expression.

"YEAH!" Lisa groused.

Jisoo turned to them and shrugged. "It's not a big deal, or anything... I just- its really nothing..."

"TELL US ALREADY!" Lisa demanded.

"I'm our class's valedictorian." Jisoo announced calmly.

"Holy fuck!" The Thai gaped. It took her a moment to compose herself and let the information sink it. She then turned to Jennie, "NINI YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS A FUCKING GENIUS!"

"I KNOW!" The setter retorted with much enthusiasm.

Jisoo looked towards Rosé and found her in the verge of crying. "Rosie?"

"Chu, that's huge!" She croaked, her eyes filling up with tears.

"Rosie, are you crying?" Jisoo uttered.

"Fuck yeah, I am." Rosé replied. She rubbed her eyes with the heel of her hands and sniffled. "It's just that- You've come a long way, Jisoo."

"Aww, Rosie. We all came a long way." Jisoo cooed, reaching across the table and taking one of Rosé's hands.

"I can't believe there's only three more weeks left." Rosé whimpered. "Where did time go? It felt just like yesterday that we played our very first game. We barely knew each other but we were like a well-oiled machine when we stepped in that court..."

-

Flashback

Jisoo dropped her duffel back on unfamiliar surrounding. After a month of excessive practicing and drills, they were finally playing their first game. She scanned the gym in awe.

"You aren't getting cold feet now are you, Kim?" Jennie teased as she set her bag next to Jisoo's.

"As if,." Jisoo retorted back.

"Please tell me you two aren't fighting again..." Yeri walked up next to the two girls with Rosé and Lisa by her side.

"They're always fighting." Lisa snorted.

"Right." Rosé hummed in agreement. She nudged the Thai and whispered in her ear. "They totally like each other."

"Rosie, are you crazy!" Lisa said in a hushed voice. "Nini has a girlfriend."

"So what? Irene's a bitch anyway. They aren't going to last."

"Nini's head over heels for that girl."

"No she's not."

"You are delusional."

"Bet."

Lisa arched an eyebrow at her teammate. "Are you serious right now?"

"I'm telling you. They like each other." Rosé stated with full confidence. She turned to look at the two girls and smirked. Jisoo was currently holding up Jennie's kneepads above her head while the shorter girl tried to snatch it from her. "Look at them."

The Thai shook her head and followed Rosé's gaze.

"Jisoo, give me my knee pads!" Jennie hissed as she tried to jump higher to reach the black square.

"Why would I?" Jisoo challenged.

"Uh... because its mine, you imbecile." Jennie sneered.

"Ouch. Jendeukie, you shouldn't stoop so low to name calling." The pale girl nagged. She grinned from ear to ear and held the garment higher.

"Stop being an ass and maybe I will!"

Rosé side-eyed Lisa and smirked. "You see what I mean?"

Lisa smacked her lips together and looked away. "I still think you're delusional. I'll believe it when I see it."

The taller girl contorted her face and gestured back to the bickering girls. "Uh hello! Don't you see it now!"

"Nope." Lisa said as she walked away from the other girl.

-

Jennie bounced her leg up and down in her seat. She glanced at the scoreboard and bit her nails nervously. They had lost the first set and now they were down by eight points. It was 5 to 13. It wasn't like they were bad or anything; it was because the girls in the court didn't have chemistry.
