《Mondays (Jensoo Convert)》"My prom is wherever you are."

Jisoo watched as her friends took pictures with their lovely dresses and dates on her front yard, a faint smile written on her face. It was Prom day and everyone looked beautiful. Her eyes, however, were solely drawn to one in a particular. She stared at Jennie adoringly, admiring how the girl appeared so beautiful in such a simple way.
The brunette wore a classy white champagne colored, strapless dress that hugged her torso perfectly and flowed elegantly to the ground. Her hair was curled loosely and fell flawlessly on her face, the sides pinned securely. She reminded Jisoo of a modern princess.
It saddened her that she couldn't join Jennie on this special day but she knew how much it meant to Jennie. She looked down at the clear plastic box she held in her hands. The assortment of small white roses and beads mixed with ribbons to top it off sat in the container. It was the exact arrangement Jennie had told her two years ago. She didn't know if she'd ever had the chance to actually be the one to hand it to her.
Jennie beamed widely at the cameras. She couldn't believe it was the day; the day she had slowly been counting down to. She had everything she dreamed of: her dress, her hair, her makeup... everything except her date. She averted her gaze from the cameras to the dark haired girl standing by the door just in time as Jisoo lifted her head up. Their eyes locked and Jennie's smile fell.
"Chu! Come take pictures with us!" Rosé waved over the other girl but Jisoo dismissed the offer.
Instead the dark haired beauty made her way towards Jennie. She took out the corsage from its container and strolled next to her.
Lisa did a double take when she caught a glimpse of the corsage from the corner of her eye. She squealed in excitement and slapped Rosé repetitively on the girl's arm.
"Nini..." Jisoo ignored the flashes and clicks of the cameras. She had a crooked smile etched on her face as she spoke to the brunette facing her. "You look beautiful."
"Thanks." Jennie replied shyly.
"Can I?" Jisoo held up the corsage, never breaking her gaze upon the other girl. Jennie nodded timidly and fixed her eyes on her wrist as Jisoo slipped in the corsage.
"It's beautiful, Chu." Jennie twisted her wrist and examined the design of different flowers perched on it.
"Only the best for you..."
Jennie blushed.
"Hey, the limo's here." Rosé placed a hand on Jennie's shoulder to get her attention. She looked over to Jisoo and flashed a sad smile. "We'll miss you there, Chu."
"Have fun. Don't worry about me." Jisoo assured.
Yeri went ahead in the limo with Lisa and Rosé behind them. Jisoo helped Jennie walk to the vehicle by picking up parts of her dress that brushed the ground and held onto the smaller girl to help her balance.

When they reached the car, Jisoo let the dress go but kept a firm grip on Jennie's waist. She pulled Jennie closer to her and leaned over.
"Save me a dance, will ya?" The older girl husked by the brunette's ear.
"Always."

The dinner went well. Everyone played nice with each other, even Jennie with Nayeon. Jisoo was happy seeing everyone she loved being friendly and coexisting in harmony. The only part that gave the meal an awkward edge was when Nayeon talked about prom plans. She quickly apologized for bringing it up after receiving uncomfortable stares from the girls and Jisoo'sfamily.
She had no clue that it was a touchy subject for the brown-eyed girl and her teammates. No one had really brought it up after the accident. They just all assumed that Jisoo wasn't going so they left it at that, which was partially accurate since there was no way Jennie was letting Jisoo go.
Eventually, all the girls left one by one except Jennie. The brunette wanted to talk to Jisoo about Saturday. She couldn't postpone it any longer. So there she was in her teammate's room, staring absentmindedly at her wall filled with photos. She was trying to figure out how to approach it as gently as possible.
"Nini, movie's playing downstairs." Jisoo walked in with only a bra and sports shorts on. She wanted to freshen up before watching a movie with the family so she took a shower.
Jennie turned around and clamped her eyes shut in a flash when she saw Jisoo's lack of clothing.
"WARN ME!" The brunette squeaked as sheraised her arm up to cover her eyes. A low raspy chuckle echoed in the room.
"Jennie, I'm not naked. You've seen me change before. Stop being so dramatic." Jisoo rolled her eyes playfully as she dug through her drawers for a clean shirt. She settled on a black Artic Monkeys shirt that Jennie had gotten her as a birthday present the year before.
"I'm not being dramatic!" Jennie countered, her arm still on her eyes. "Do you have a shirt on now?"
Jisoo put her shirt on and walked towards the smaller girl. She kindly placed her hand on Jennie's arm and brought it down.
"Hi." The pale girl whispered.
"Hey." Jennie responded.
"You want to watch the movie or continue toget lost in each other's eyes?" Jisoo retorted smoothly. She nodded her head off to the doorway and began to pull Jennie by the arm but the other girl had different plans.
"Chu... I- um, can we talk for a minute?" The brown-eyed girl asked nervously.
"Yeah, sure. What's up?" Jisoo moved closer to Jennie and tilted her head as she waited for her to speak.
"It's about prom."
The pale girl frowned. "What about it?"
Jennie took a deep breath in and thought it was now or never. "Your mom said that the doctor recommended you to stay home for the weekend, that means you'd be missing prom." She waited for a reaction from Jisoo but the girl had a blank expression and decided to continue. "Which means... I'm not going to prom either."

And that's when Jennie got Jisoo's attention.
"Woah, Jendeukie. No. I will be missing prom." Jisoo stated. "But you. You are going."
"Jisoo, I'm not going without you."
"Yes, you are."
"You're my gir-... date." Jennie cleared her throat. "You're my date."
The older girl arched an eyebrow at Jennie's almost slip up. "You're going Jennie. End of discussion."
"Chu..." Jennie protested.
"This is the night you've been dreaming of Jendeukie. And I'm not going to be the reason you don't go." Jisoo sighed. She lookedJennie in the eyes and grabbed her hand. "It's okay. I'll be alright. I want you to go. Be with our friends and dance the night away."
"It won't be the same without you." Jennie hummed, bowing her head down.
Jisoo cupped the girl's face to level their gazes."I wasn't in your plans before, remember? You don't need me there."
"But you're in it now." The shorter girl argued. She launched herself onto Jisoo and hugged her tightly. "I want you there."
Jisoo winced at the brisk impact but hid the pain. Her chest was bruised but she didn't want Jennie to worry about her more. Instead, she wrapped her arms around the girl and rested her chin on top of Jennie's head.
"Tell you what. How about you guys take pictures here... that way I can see you in you're beautiful dress and makeup and hair." Jennie laughed lightly making Jisoo smile. "And I can give you the corsage I ordered for you."
The brown-eyed girl lifted her head. "You got me a corsage?"
Jisoo looked down. "Of course I did."
"Is it the one I wanted?" Jennie asked jokingly as she raised an eyebrow.
"Guess you'll just have to find out."
"You really want me to go?"
"Please. Do it for me AND for you."
The dark haired girl pulled away and shot Jennie a knowing look. Jennie grinned and bit her lip before nodding her head slowly.
"Great!" Jisoo said happily. "Is that all you wanted to talk about?"
"Ummm actually I wan-" The brunette wanted to confirm her relationship with Jisoo. She didn't want to dance around it anymore but it seemed like there was no perfect time to tell the other girl.
"MOVIE STARTING!" Jiyoon screamed from the living room. Jisoo craned her head over to her door.
"OKAY!" She yelled before turning back to Jennie. "Can we talk about it later?"
"Sure."

It was Saturday night and Jisoo sat cross-legged in front of her TV munching on some popcorn as she watched episodes of Vampire Dairies. She was bored out of her mind she wanted to be with her friends at Prom. She wanted to dance. She wanted to make memories. But most of all, she wanted to do it all with her favorite girl.
"God, Elena... make up your fucking mind." Jisoo muttered at the television. "PICK DAMON! NO! not- Fuck. You're an idiot." She threw some popcorn at the screen and shook her head disapprovingly.
She rolled her eyes and pulled out her phone. She went through her Instagram feed and saw pictures of everyone at the prom venue looking all nice and sleek. Feeling generous, she double tapped every picture she stumbled upon with the hashtag: Prom2K14. Though, one particular picture made her hair rise.
The picture was with Irene next to Jennie, acting all cozied up and smiley. The cheerleader wore a gorgeous black gown with sparkling beads embedded around her tiny waist. Her hair was straightened and tied in a half pony. With Jennie in a white gown, they looked perfect together. It was captioned: My ying to my yang. Jisoo gagged when she read it.
She immediately shut her phone off knowing that staring at those pictures will only make her even more upset than she already is. The one time Jennie finally ask her to go somewhere as something more than friends, she just had to get into an accident. And worst of all, Irene happened to look breathtaking and available.
She opened her phone again and stared at the picture of the two girls wanting to get a second glance. She scoffed and turned it off again, throwing it behind her to hinder temptation.
The athlete tried to focus back on the show but the image of Jennie and Irene bore itself in her memory. She was about to call it a night, when suddenly her doorbell rang. She furrowed her eyebrows andchecked the time on the TV screen. It was 8:45, her family was out and she wasn't expecting anyone.
Jisoo trudged to her door and pulled it wide openrevealing a petite girl standing awkwardly with her hands behind her and a skewed smile planted on her lips.
"Jennie?" She breathed out of shock.
"Hey..." The brown-eyed girl gave a small wave.
"W-what are you doing here?" Jisoo gaped still surprise to see the fully gowned brunette. "You're supposed to be at prom."
Jennie only shrugged. "I got bored."
"No shit." Jisoo crossed her arms and arched an eyebrow.
The brown-eyed girl played with her bottom lip as she tried to formulate an acceptable response. "Remember that time you skipped your surprise party at Yeri's to help me with the Irene shit..." Jisoo bobbed her head when she recalled that moment. It was about a month ago but she still remembered it clearly since the small girl never let her live it down for skipping out. "Well, you told me you chose to stay with me. Jisoo now I'm choosing to stay with you."
Jennie raised her hands from behind her and displayed two plastic bags filled with ice cream and candy.

Hanging on Bones
huh?... So no reincarnation for me?...****Warning! Mature Content!****I extend my arm out as far as it goes and stab myself with all my might. The blade securely lodges between my ribs. One problem solved. Finally having my hand free I immediately bend down and scoop up flickering glass candle holder. In one swift motion I straighten out, turn and throw it at the closest of my pursuers. To my surprise it's a perfect square hit and the leading veteran crashes into the headstone he was just about to jump over. It was waaay too close for my comfort. If not for this success, shortly after I would be the one lying on the ground…----------------------My first attempt at writing a book - the way i like them.

8 123The Paths of Magick
Credits: Story by Xcaliburnt. Cover Art by @Bervolart. Magick, the power to bend the laws of reality. All because of a mystical substance known as mana. Mages follow the Paths to achieve power, for there is no more addictive chase. Each Path winds and twists, forcing mages through the flames of adversity and challenge. Though the operative word is "path", the reality is far less straightforward. Instead of a road, Paths are like the branches of world trees, erupting into the heavens, intertwining, and ending in sharp snaps. Only the strongest reach the sky. There are several Paths, and many Ways to walk them—variations of the same Path, and like the stars, they are endless. Magick is the sacred flame that scours the fat, rendering the truest self. Superfluous flesh melting away to show the skeleton of one's being. A chance for ascension—apotheosis. Though not every mage works to godhood, if they survive long enough, It is inescapable. Witness the lives of those that tread the knife's edge of self-destruction. Each one intertwined in their search for answers, revenge, and, most of all: power. These individuals have all lost something precious—irreplaceable—and In search of filling the void left behind, they have taken up the mantle of a mage. Per aspera ad astra. Ad mortem vel divinitatis. (Through adversity to the stars. To death or divinity.) There is no consistent release schedule except my consistent inconsistency. Besides, there’s like a thousand pages worth of content, how can—you already read it? Goddamn. Oh, and there is a very long hiatus between volumes as I intend to edit and rewrite a lot. What to Expect: This story is progression fantasy, so expect a healthy dose of training. It's also heavy on slice of life, and it isn't entirely overarching-plot-driven. Expect characters to live their lives, and not always be on some quest to save the world. There's a lot of magic theory and discussion about it in the story. So, if you don't like impromptu lessons on sorcerous theory by traveling monster slayers, this might not be for you. But if you do like it, rejoice! For there is a lot of it. This is also heavy on prose, purple as a bruised eye. I use outdated, uneccesarily collegiate-level terms and play around with the writing style just for the heck of it. I find it fun to wax and wane poetic, and that might grate on you—I don’t plan to change this aspect of the Paths much if at all. Onto the viewer discretion is advised parts: This is grim-dark/ grim-heart. Take the tags seriously. There will be combat scenes that are brutal and horrifying. Fights to the death tend to be. This is a tale about medieval mercenaries (quite literal killers for hire), man-eating monsters, and eldritch gods beyond the material plane. Beside that, there will be traumatic events that are best left unread. I do not detail certain acts I find heinous enough, instead leaving some parts unwritten but still alludded to if not outright stated; there is simply no graphic narration thereof. This is not for the faint of heart.
