《A Love Surreal》Scene 3 : Sacrifice

He was about to go out the lavatory when he heard an alluring female's voice mentioning Krist's name. He hid for a moment, eavesdropping on the woman's conversation. It seemed that she was talking to someone on the phone.
she said, rolling her eyes as she speaks.
After a few more throwing shades and all, the woman ended the call. Singto's not-so-good mood earlier has become worse. He began to walk out of the restroom when he was sure the conversation was over. He looked at the woman, making sure it was the same girl who was with Krist earlier.
"Ah, right. This is the starlet whose usually in the blind items in the tabloids.", Singto recalled his manager mentioning about her.
"Oh, hi..", the beautiful woman smiled sweetly at him as soon as she recognized Singto. She saw him studying her face and have mistaken it as if Singto was interested in her.
For sure the woman knows who he is. Who wouldn't?
she said, reaching out her hands to the dashing man.
Singto gave her a do over which made the woman feel proud. She gently bit the tip of her finger nail, giving him a flirtatious gaze, running her hands from her shoulder down to her almost exposed breast, showing off her curves.
He wouldn't deny it. The woman is really sexy and beautiful. She has the features of a foreign star.
If only she isn't a trash.
He doesn't have interest for such a person so he ignored her and passed by her. The woman's seducing face turned into an annoyed one.
"So.. Between Krist and You.. You are the gay one, is that it?", she mocked Singto, trying to get back at him for ignoring her.
He stopped by the door, not really interested in what the woman is saying. Just then, he saw Krist walking towards the restroom, seemingly scanning the area as he approaches the place. He must be looking for his girlfriend now.

"I must really be drunk 'cause I want
to do something idiotic right now.", he mumbled to himself.
he turned to the woman. He smirked, intensely gazing into her eyes.
she stuttered as Singto slowly walks towards her, cornering the flirty woman against the wall. Instead of being afraid, the woman got excited at this dashing man's approach.
"I have my standards..", he whispered to the woman, inching his face towards her, running his fingers on the woman's neckline.
She didn't budge. Singto caresses her hair, then her cheek. Georgia closes her eyes, enjoying the attention Singto is giving her.
"But.. For once I'll sacrifice myself rather to have someone else eat a trash, Miss Georgia..", he uttered, holding the woman's chin up.
"W-what do you-", she wasn't able to finish what she was about to say since Singto sealed her lips with an intrusive kiss.
She kissed him back eagerly but she felt the kiss wasn't pleasant. It was more of a chastising kiss. It was meant to humiliate her. Just then a strong hand grabbed Singto's shoulder, pulled him from the woman away, then a couple of punches landed on his face which knocked him down the floor.
"What the fuck are you doing with my girlfriend?!", Krist shouted at Singto, grabbing him at his collar, pulling him up. Rage is evident on his face. Singto did not respond. He just smirked and brushed Krist's hand away from his grip.
he said, smirking as he glances at the woman in question.
"I was wrong about you! I thought you were a gentleman! No wonder why I feel uneasy around you. You really are a great actor! You almost fooled me! Gentleman, my ass!", Krist continuesly criticized him.
Singto wiped his bleeding lips with the back of his hand, leaning against the door, feeling nauseous. The pain on his face is numbed by the pain of Krist's harsh words. All he could do is smile bitterly, pretending he wasn't affected.

he responded, turning away before he says something he shouldn't, leaving the two still in shock.
A ring of the door bell brought Singto back to the present. He turned the faucet off then wrapped his lower body with a towel. He was drying his hair still half naked when he opened the door. Nobody is out there. He looked around to see but no trace of anyone is around. He was about to get back in when he almost tripped on a bouquet of flowers lying on the floor. He picked it up and search if there weas a card or a letter indicating who the sender was. None.
He went back in, scratching his head. Thinking the flowers might have come from one of his fans.
Not too far away, hidden behind one of the pillars in the hallway, a man wearing a bull cap was intently watching him. He walks away a few moments after seeing that Singto has picked up the bouquet of flowers.

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).

Magnus
Updates daily at 23:06 UTC. 2/1/2021 NOTE! This trilogy is being published by Aethon Books starting with book one on 5/1/2021. All books have been removed from RoyalRoad. This story was posted on RR in its entirety before being removed. Magnus Cromwell kills for a living. He’s organized, professional, efficient. Like a machine. But when his family’s life is on the line? That’s something else. That calls for the kind of warm-blooded vengeance that scorches earth and summons tungsten rods from space, leaves a whole lot of melted flesh, and no one to tell the tale. It should've been a blue milk run. As by-the-book as it gets. With his sister Nina out safe and the opposition decimated by hypersonic gunfire, MC wondered where they got the guts to even try. Then something hits him. Lays him out cold, and leaves him waking up to a fantasyland with nothing but his armor and a half-written note to guide him. It's a strange place where even stranger predators eye him for their next meal. Where his life’s on a timer, and where the darkest horrors haunt his dreams, painting visions of death. There's no right day to mess with Magnus Cromwell. But the universe sure managed to pick the absolute worst one. --- - MC is stone-cold, strong(OP), and gets even stronger, but he'll still face his fair share of challenges, both internal and external. - LitRPG-lite. No stats and an unconventional system. Expect abilities and progressions, but there will only ever be a handful of them. - Science Fiction and Fantasy collide, with a touch of mystery, Lovecraft, and body horror. - Professionally painted art scenes! - This series is finished. The War Wolves
If you’re good at something, never do it for free. That’s what Ludgar’s uncle taught him. Sellswording isn’t the most glamorous life, but it pays well if you’re good at it. Interesting as well, if you ignore the very probable possibility of a swift, sticky end at the hands of pointy things. When the mercenary lifestyle grows incompatible with the Kingdom of Evandis, he and his merry band of misfits set off west to seek those with a better proclivity for warfare and with much deeper pockets. At his side: a wandering barbarian who teeters on the edge of savagery, a girl who would have a heart of gold if she didn’t pawn it off to the nearest fence, a wannabe knight who is absolutely overcompensating for something, and the last person in the universe who should be anywhere close to magic. But, as most mercenaries find, the right decisions are quite an expensive luxury, and the wrong ones happen to pay very well. Then again, what are the value of morals to a hungry wolf?
