Hermione's POV

Waking up in Sam's arms was quite frankly, the best feeling I could have ever imagined. It was nothing like Ron's, who would constantly try to do anything in his power to fuck me, he didn't cuddle or give me the comfort I needed when nightmares would wake me up at night. The nightmares became less frequent when I moved to forks, but they are now non-existent whenever I'm laying beside my mate. It still shocked me how comfortable I feel with Sam, he makes me feel like a normal girl, someone who wants to love and just be happy whilst Ron always expected certain requirements from me. When I'm with Sam, I don't feel like a war hero or some celebrity, I feel like myself, my true self and I love that feeling.

A loud ring rang through the room, causing Sam to groan and roll over, his back now facing away from me as he pulls his pillow over his head to block out the sound. I let out a giggle and grab my phone from my side table, looking at the screen to see the caller is Edward. My eyebrows furrow for a few seconds before answering.

"Edward?"

"I'm sorry if I woke you, Hermione-"

"No, it's okay. What can I do for you?" I ask as I place my silky robe over my clothless body and walk onto the balcony that I had added to my room. The cold air hit my lungs instantly as I took a deep breath before placing a warming charm over myself.

"Someone was in Bella's house, Alice said it was that Riley guy. She saw him passing a piece of her clothing around to a group of newborns"

"Which means she and Charlie are in danger" I groaned as I raked my fingers through my hair, pulling at the roots slightly at the thought of having to save the ungrateful brat.

"Yes... Listen I know you don't like her-"

"She's a pain in the arse, Ed" He chuckled slightly, knowing full well what his ex is like, even if he was blind to her behaviour for a while.

"I know but I already talked to Luna and she agrees, even if Bella wasn't involved, these newborns are causing a lot of trouble for the other people in forks and La push. Fuck knows how many people will die before they are dealt with" I sat in silence for a few moments pondering over the information. He had a point... Despite who Bella is and how much of a bitch she is, she's still a teenage girl who has some of the most violent creatures after her. Plus, others don't deserve to die because they're after her.

"Alright, Ed, I'll get the pack and head over to you as soon as possible" I sighed as I glanced back to Sam, who was cuddling into my pillow with a small smile on his face. My heart swelled at the sight, knowing I finally had someone to love me for who I am, and for me to love them just the same.

"Thank you, see you soon" and with that, he put down the phone. I placed my phone on the little table and sat down, looking over the forest and relishing in the calmness it brings me. I was so caught up in my mind that I failed to hear Sam enter the Balcony with a cup of steaming hot coffee.

"Here we go, baby" He announced softly, making me jump. He let out a small chuckle and placed the coffee in front of me before bending down and placing a kiss on the top of my head, my eyes flutter closed at the warmth his touch brought me.

"Thank you"

"Who was that on the phone?" He asked as he sat opposite me, a cup of his own in his hands.

"It was Edward. We need to gather the pack together and meet them at their place" I sighed tiredly, gaining a questionable look but seeing how tired his imprint looked, he agreed.

I went to shower and get ready whilst Sam gathered up the pack, it wasn't long until we were all dressed and ready to leave. Some of us transformed and ran whilst the others apparated. By the time the pack and I got to the Cullens, the others were already there and waiting.

"Ready?" I asked the pack, who looked up at their home with a cautious expression. I sighed and stood in front of them, gaining their attention.

"Edward is Luna's mate, Luna is my little sister and a part of our pack. This means Edward has our protection, which includes the rest of the Cullen family too. Honestly, they don't need our protection but it's much better if we all just learnt to get along" I said softly as I ran my hands through my hair.

"Don't worry, Hermione, we will behave" Jared reassured with a kind smile, not his usual cheeky smirk that's usually plastered on his face. I placed my palm on his cheek, a motherly feeling bubbled in my chest as he leaned into my touch.

"I know, Pup" The others sniggered but with a warning growl and a glare, they lowered their heads with a small whimper.

"You know I love you all, don't you?" This made them raise their heads, their eyes slightly wide whilst Sam watched his pack with fondness.

"Y-You do?" Jacob mumbled with hope-filled eyes.

"Yea, I love Every single one of you. You're my pack, my family and I always protect my family" Before I knew it, I was hugged from all angles and their body heat made me feel as if I was in a sauna.

"Too hot" I gasped dramatically, making them pull away with sheepish smiles.

"Boys, Hermione, let's go" Remus called out as he lifted Teddy off his shoulders, who giggled and tugged on his father's hair.

"Careful Teddy or your daddy won't have any hair left" I teased, making Remus playfully glare at me. I giggled and sent him a wink before making my way up the steps to the Cullen's door, I went to knock but it was swung open before my knuckles could touch the wood.

"Hermione, hi" Alice greeted cheerfully, pulling me into her arms tightly.

"Goodmorning Alice" I laughed as she pulled away. I made my way inside, the others following close behind after receiving similar greetings. I heard talking coming from one of the rooms and as I followed it, I found the Cullen's in the living room.

"Hermione, thank you for coming" Edward sighed in relief and gave me a brief hug, which resulted in four protective growls.

"Enough" Luna demanded with a glare, which stopped the growls instantly. She walked past the pack, sending me a wink before running into her mate's arms. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow, looking at the pack disapprovingly.

"Sorry, Alpha" They mumbled with their head bowed as they looked up at me through their long eyelashes. I let out a sigh and gestured for them to take a seat. I turned to the Cullen family with an apologetic smile, but they simply waved it off.

"Question, why are we helping this... Bella girl?" Pansy asked as she snuggled into Jacobs's side.

"Bella was targeted by a vampire called James, he had an unhealthy obsession with her because she is a singer-"

"What has her voice got to do with it?" Harry asked with a confused frown, earning a few laughs from the group.

"A singer is someone with more potent and addictive blood"

"Right, sorry"

"It's quite alright. So, Bella was bitten but Edward got to her before it could turn her. The others killed James and ever since then, Victoria has wanted revenge. We aren't sure if she's aware that Edward is no longer involved with Bella but from what we could tell from Alice's vision, they are still after her" The group nodded their heads in understanding, and some shared worried glances whilst the pack seemed eager to kill some vampires.

"Is Bella aware?" Luna asked, her tone soft but her eyes hardened whenever she talks about the muggle.

"She's on her way here now, we thought it best to tell her as a group," Carlisle said confidently, though I could see he was somewhat nervous to have the girl in the same room as the others and me.

"Ah, that was a bad choice, Carlisle. She pissed off our little moon, which means she's on me and the pack's bad side" The pack nodded their head in agreement, and a deep growl rumbled through Remus' chest as his eyes glowed amber. It made the vampires nervous seeing an actual werewolf, rather than a shapeshifter.

"Moony" I spoke sternly, gaining his attention.

"She hurt little moon" His unusually deep voice shocked those who have never heard it. I took a deep breath and stood up from my position beside Sam, I walked towards Remus and Kneeled in front of him.

"She won't get hurt again" I reassured softly. He leaned forward and placed his face in the crook of my neck, inhaling my scent which made a purr-like sound come from him. Everyone was so focussed on the scene in front of them, that they didn't hear another person enter the room.

"What's going on here?" Bella screeched as she looked around, some people she didn't recognise and others she didn't expect to see together. Remus' head snapped up and growled, his glowing amber eyes glaring at the muggle who looked at him, terrified. He slowly stood and his attention remained focussed on the girl, looking at her as if she was prey which made everyone on high alert.

"Moony" Sirius called out, trying to get his attention but with no success. He continued to growl and snarl in her direction, making the girl slowly hide behind Edward, which resulted in a lot of glares from those who realised that she was more than willing to put his life at risk, just to protect herself.

"Moony!" I growled as I stepped in front of him, my amber eyes glowing back at his.

"Move, cub!" He demanded, not taking his eyes off of Bella, who was a whimpering mess.

"Luna is fine! She is not hurt" I grabbed his hand as I reassured him. My touch snapped him out of his rage, making him look down at me with a tilt of his head.

"Little Moon not hurt?" I shake my head with a small laugh.

"No, Moony. Our Little moon is perfectly fine. look, she's over there" I pointed towards Luna, who stood in between Edward and Jasper. His amber eyes scanned the room until they met her icy blue ones, his body instantly relaxed and slowly, his eyes returned to normal.

"Sorry" He apologised, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. The pack smiled at him, knowing how it feels to lose themselves to their wolves when feeling protective. The vampires were still cautious but nodded their heads, reassuring him that all was okay.

"Someone do something! He was trying to kill me!" Bella screamed, pointing at Remus with a look of disgust. The pack raised from their seats, their eyes darkening as they growled threateningly.

"You will watch what you say" I growled, my eyes glowing once again.

"Everyone calm down! We need to have a plan and fighting with one another won't help" Edward stepped in between Bella and us, his eyes pleading with us. I looked at Luna and with a nod and a smile, I gestured for the pack to stand down. They hesitantly took their seats, though keeping a close eye on Bella.

"Thank you" Edward sighed, earning nods from the pack. From the corner of my eye, I saw Pansy sitting on Jacobs's lap and I watched as Bella's eyes narrowed on them and her face turned red from anger and jealousy.

"Sit down, Bella" Rosalie huffed and snuggled into Emmet's side, Bella hesitated for a moment before sitting on the edge of a nearby seat.

"From what we gathered, Victoria is gaining followers. Her right hand, Riley was seen turning random folks, We aren't sure how many yet" Jasper said with a professor-like tone.

"So they are all trying to kill me?" Bella groaned, making a few roll their eyes.

"Good riddance" Ginny mumbled under her breath, earning low chuckles from the pack, Rosalie and Emmet.

"It isn't about just you anymore, they are after all of us" Carlisle stated, his tone colder than anyone was used to.

"All for a filthy muggle" Pansy Spat, her face full of disgust. The venom in her voice made Bella jump back slightly. Jacob looked at his imprint with lust-filled eyes, and an uncontrollable growl rumbled in his chest, causing the pack to laugh at their pack brother. Pansy placed a soft kiss on his lips before snuggling into his chest, his arms wrapping around her waist to hold her in place.

"The pack will be our secret weapon, they won't know until it's too late" Jasper gave me a look, one that let me know that our magic will be hidden until the last minute, even from Bella. I gave him a discrete nod and turned to the others, giving them a wink due to them being up to date with our secret plan.

"So that's it? We are using the wolves to protect us now?" Bella questioned with a judgemental tone, making the pack once again, give a warning growl.

"No, we are there to help the Cullen's, we couldn't give a shit if you live or die" I announce with a shrug, making Bella gasp and look at the Cullen's for some sort of help. She was shocked to see them trying to hide their smiles and laughs.

"When is this happening?" Harry interrupted the tense stare-down that Bella was giving everyone.

"A week, two at the latest" Alice responded which caught everyone's attention.

"Well, we better prepare"
