It had been a few days since Hermione introduced the pack to the magical world that she grew up in, and also when she and Sam had marked each other officially as mates. After receiving his mark, she felt more connected to him and the pack, it got to the point that she could tell when one of them was feeling an intense emotion, usually rage which was common for those who are the shapeshifters of the Quileute tribe.

For the Cullens, they bonded with Luna even more and due to her close relationship with the other witches, their bond extended to them also. The pack were informed of the situation between the Cullens, Luna and Bella, and to say they weren't happy was a true understatement. Luna may be mated to a vampire but in the eyes of the pack, she was one of them and they were extremely protective of their pack members, especially the women.

Hermione had confided in Sirius and Remus about the new Ink that seemed to appear after being marked. Neither man had heard of anything like it but they all concluded that it had something to do with her Alpha Female label. Remus, being the bookworm that he is, promised that he'll try to find some information in the library.

Hermione sat in the library, reading one of her favourite books. It was peaceful and though she loved her pack, she felt that peace was hard to come by with the house being full. The pack and the Cullen's refer to the house as 'the pack house', which for some reason, warms her heart to know that they all feel comfortable and at home.

"Baby?" a deep voice came from the doorway, making her jump as she was so focused on the words in the book. Her head snapped in his direction and a smile formed on her face as she saw Sam, leaning against the wooden doorway with his arms crossed over his chest, making his muscular arms bulge.

"Yes, Sammy?" she said sweetly, fluttering her eyelashes. A smirk threatened to appear as she saw him stand straighter and his muscles tense. She could see the effect she has on him and the truth be told, she loved it.

"I-uh I was wondering if you wanted to go out for some lunch?" He asked nervously and took a few steps into the room, though still keeping his distance. Hermione tilted her head and slowly raised from her seat, walking toward him like an animal scoping out its prey.

"Why so nervous, my love?" She purred and dragged her nail across his muscular chest as she walked around him. He swallowed the lump in his throat and watched from the corner of his eye as she teased him, her touch causing his skin to tingle and erupt in goosebumps.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about" He denied as he held back a growl due to her hands working his muscles in his shoulders.

"I don't-" Suddenly, rapid footsteps were heard coming towards them. They span around and both were confused and concerned as Paul came into sight.

"Paul? What's wrong?" Hermione asked in concern as she approached him, looking him over to check if he was harmed. Sam watched in amusement as his imprint slipped into Alpha Female mode, fawning over her pack member. Paul, on the other hand, was slightly embarrassed but overall, felt the affection and worry coming from his Alpha, and yet, couldn't find it in him to tell her to stop.

"Hermione, he seems fine" Sam reassured as he placed a hand on her shoulder, causing her actions to stop abruptly. She let out a sigh of relief and took a step back, incidentally into her mates arms which he wrapped around her waist.

"Sorry P, what were you going to say?"

"That red-headed bloodsucker was seen, though it seems he has made a friend"

"A friend? Who?" Sam growled, his hold tightening around Hermione.

"Don't know his name, but we can ask the Cullens and see if they do" Paul suggested, making the couple nod their heads.

"I'll talk to Luna" and with that, Paul left. Hermione let out a small sigh and leaned back against Sam, his face immediately nuzzling into the crook of her neck. His breath sent chills down her spine and from the smirk that formed on his face, he most definitely noticed.

"I'll make us some lunch" Sam chuckled and placed a kiss on her neck before she pulled away. He smirked proudly as he noticed her cheeks tinted pink, her head lowered shyly.

Sam couldn't help but think how adorable and beautiful the woman in front of him is. It amazes him how she can tease him one moment, and then become shy the next but it's part of her charm.

"His name is Riley Biers, I recognise him from town" Edward commented as the pack and Cullens sit around the family room of the pack house.

"What does she want with him?" Rosalie asked whilst sitting on the floor with Teddy, playing with some colourful building blocks. Emmet sat on the couch behind her, smiling down at the interaction but there was a part of him that ached at the thought of not being able to give his mate what she desperately wanted.

"She turned him, that means she's planning something," Hermione said from her seat on Sam's lap.

"That's quite obvious, pup" Sirius teased, making her playfully glare at him, and being the mature adult that he is, stuck his tongue out which made her chuckle.

"So, what are we going to do?" Jacob sighed pleasantly as Pansy snuggled against him, her scent calming down his wolf at the thought of another Vampire entering their territory. His dislike for the Cullens was still very much present, but he had grown to care about Luna as a sister and knew if he didn't get along with her mate, it would hurt her and that was the last thing he would want. She was so caring and innocent, her light personality was a breath of fresh air for the group and even though she was somewhat odd, she was great at giving advice and just like Hermione, she knew how to comfort those in need.

"Kill them" Luna commented casually as she sipped her hot mug of tea. Everyone froze and turned toward her in shock, what surprised them the most was the emotionless expression on her face. Hermione and Ginny raised an eyebrow in amusement, seeing this side of their friend quite a few times and in their opinion, it never got old, and neither did people's reactions.

"You're full of surprises, aren't you?" Edward purred as he grinned at his mate, who looked over at him with a cheeky smile. She simply shrugged and with a playful wink she went back to her cup of tea, making Edward chuckle and place a kiss on the crown of her head.

"As... Shocking as it is, Luna is right" Jared said as he glanced at the white-haired girl from the corner of his eye, his lips twitching in amusement as her face lit up at his words.

"So, I guess we are killing a bitch"

"Cub! Watch your language" Remus scolded Ginny as he pointed at Teddy, who continued to play with Rosalie. The group chuckled slightly at her sheepish expression, mouthing an apology before snuggling her face into Paul's chest, hiding her embarrassment. Paul wrapped his arms around his imprint, laughing silently at her red face.

"Is it only the two of them?" Emmet asked Alice, who had a vision of Victoria earlier that day.

"From what I saw, yes-"

"There will be more and many will be murdered due to their uncontrollable hunger," Luna said emotionlessly, her eyes fogged over as she saw flashes of a large group of newborn vampires, all fighting one another over blood. Those who weren't used to seeing Luna this way still felt a little uncomfortable and concerned, however, the witches and wizards simply listened to every word intensely.

"Well... That's not good" Emmet and Sirius murmured together before looking at one another and grinning.

"They're newborns, which means they aren't aware of the wolves unless Victoria blabbed, which I highly doubt" Carlisle looked at Hermione in curiosity.

"Why not?"

"Victoria isn't from around here, which means she has only caught a glimpse of the wolves, and she doesn't know how many of us there are" Those around Hermione sat in silence, thinking over her words. If she had a say, she wouldn't want her pack to fight but she also knew that their instincts tell them to kill the threat, meaning Victoria and the newbie's lives are numbered.

"We have one problem" Jacob spoke up, gaining everyone's attention.

"What are we doing about Bella? We can only assume that they don't know you two broke up -" He gestured toward Edward, who nodded his head in agreement.

"Which means they will still be after her-"

"Why? What has this situation got to do with her?" Harry frowned in confusion, not having met the girl but from what Hermione and Ginny told him, he knew she was not someone he would be willing to protect.

"I killed Victoria's mate to protect Bella, meaning that she will be after her to get back at me" Realisation stuck the group, though many couldn't find it in them to care about Bella's safety. She had caused nothing but stress and hassle in many of their lives, though some may not want to admit it to themselves and others.

"I guess We'll have to reunite them..."
