"Why invite them here? You know Moony will want to eat them!" Sirius half-joked, gaining a glare from Remus but surprisingly, from Luna as well.

"I already told you, Kingsley deemed them not a threat and honestly, from what I've seen, they are really nice-"

"And Edward is my mate, please be polite" Luna pleaded with big puppy eyes. The two men's faces softened instantly and Sirius groaned when he realised what she was doing.

"Fine, we will be polite but if the night turns into a blood bath... I'm not cleaning it up" Sirius warned as he narrowed his eyes at us, to which we grinned and nodded eagerly.

"You have us wrapped around your little fingers, Cubs" Remus sighed as he massaged his temples, earning a giggle from the both of us.

"Mione, I've got your blood pops that you requested" a voice ran through the house before Harry strolled into the kitchen, holding a bag from the honeydukes sweet shop.

"Thank you, Harry, you're a life saver" I sighed in relief as I brought him into a hug, he chuckled and returned the embrace before greeting the others.

"I'm going to go and pick up Teddy, would you like me to collect anything whilst I'm there?" Remus asked as he wrapped his cloak around him.

I shook my head with a smile. "Just say hi to Andy from me" and with a nod, he disappeared into the living room and through the Floo.

"You're nervous" A voice from behind me caught my attention, I turned around and came face to face with Sam, who held an affectionate smile on his face.

"How do you know?" I raised an eyebrow.

He shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know, It's like I can feel it"

"Ah, it means our bond is getting stronger" I responded with a smile.

"You know, I still don't understand fully how your mate bond works... Perhaps we should discuss it more over a dinner?" He suggested with a smirk, making my smile widen.

"Are you asking me on a Date, Sam Uley?" I teased as I placed my palms on his chest, his hands immediately finding my waist as I did so.

He chucked with a nod "Yes, yes I am" He responded confidently, making a blush appear on my face as he pulled me against him.

"I'd love to" I whispered as I looked into his eyes, which shined brightly at my acceptance.

He leaned forward and whispered in my ear "I look forward to It" making me shiver in delight.

Our moment was ruined by a loud crash that was heard from the hall, followed by a cuss. I sighed and leaned my forehead against his chest, which vibrated as he chuckled.

"I can't leave them alone for a second" I placed a kiss on his cheek and stepped out of his embrace, immediately missing his warmth.

Time flew by and before I knew it, it was six o'clock and I was waiting patiently with Ginny at the opening of the forest for the Cullens to arrive.

"Hermione! Ginny!" An excited voice was heard, making us giggle. Alice ran towards us and embraced us tightly, both thankful for our strength otherwise we would have been crushed.

"Hello Alice, how are you?" Ginny questioned as we pulled away.

"I'm looking forward to spending time with you all, yesterday was hectic but quite amusing" She giggled, making us laugh and nod our heads in agreement before our attention was drawn to the others, who appeared from within the forest.

"Hello, dears" Mrs Cullen greeted with a brief hug, which we returned happily.

"Hello Mrs Cullen"

"Please, call me Esme"

"Okay, call me Hermione" I responded with a smile.

"And me Ginny" Esme nodded her head and wrapped her arm around Mr Cullen's waist, who appeared beside her.

"Hello, girls. How are you?"

"Nervous, how are you, Mr Cullen?" Ginny said as she played with the rings on her fingers, which had become a nervous habit of hers.

"Call me Carlisle and there's no need to be nervous, you are both lovely young women and in my eyes, you aren't a threat to my family but a friend" I lowered my head slightly to hide the blush that appeared on my cheeks at the compliment.

"We appreciate that Carlisle. We want to apologise for our behaviour yesterday, I'm sure it came as a shock for all of you"

"It was quite the shock but as I said, we don't feel as if you're a threat and we are looking forward to finding out more about you all" Esme said with a soft smile, instantly putting us at ease.

"Shall we go?" Ginny questioned, reviewing nods from the clan. It wasn't a long journey to our home and once we arrived, the Cullens were in awe.

"You have a beautiful home" a man with blonde hair complimented, making me smile in appreciation. We gestured for them to follow us inside, and once we entered, we were greeted with the sound of talking and laughing from the other room.

"It's beautiful" the woman with beautiful blonde hair whispered in amazement as she looked around the entrance hall, though her eyes kept wandering back to the large chandelier that hung from the tall ceiling. Our attention was drawn to hysterical giggles and much to my amusement, we were met with Teddy, riding on Padfoot's back with Remus training behind them.

"Please be careful Ted" Remus sighed and shook his head fondly before turning to us.

"Hello, I apologise for the noise. The youngsters nowadays can't seem to control their volume" He said with a smile, making the Cullens chuckle. He approached Esme and Carlisle, who was standing beside Ginny and me.

"I'm Remus Lupin"

"Carlisle Cullen and my wife Esme" They shook hands and were pleased to see that Remus was making a real effort. His attention then turned towards the others, who were watching the exchange with hesitation.

"I'm Alice and this is my boyfriend, jasper" Alice pulled him into a hug, shocking him for a moment before chuckling and returning her gesture. He held out his hand for Jasper to shake, which he did but I could see the confusion on his face after he did so.

"I'm Emmet and my girlfriend, Rosalie" Emmet shook his hand and so did Rosalie, though her expression showed she was wary of him. I could tell she was quite a closed person and seemed to keep people at arm's length.

"I'm Edward" A knowing expression appeared on Remus' face, he glanced at us and we nodded in confirmation.

"Luna's mate" Edward seemed shocked at the recognition but nodded his head in confirmation whilst shaking hands.

"Sirius Orion Black, I will chop those hands off if you eat another thing!" Ginny laughed beside me whilst Remus and I sighed, knowing full well how much trouble Sirius could get into when left unsupervised.

"Come on through, I must apologise once again. Sirius may be an adult but he's a child at heart" Remus shook his head, though his mouth twitched into a smile. I gestured for them to follow, which they did as they continued to look around in amazement. We arrived at the kitchen, where Sirius was currently being scolded by Pansy whilst Harry was standing to the side laughing at his Godfather.

"Sirius, what did I say about eating before the guests arrived?" I questioned sternly with my arms crossed over my chest. A sheepish smile was on his face and he lowered his head.

"Sorry pup" he mumbled and left the room instantly after I nodded my head and gestured for him to do so.

"Now, I know you don't eat, so I bought you some special meals that are vampire friendly" Their eyes widened in shock and confusion and looked at the spot on the kitchen counter.

"How?-"

"It will all make sense when we explain, but I thought we could eat first before settling down to have that discussion" They all nodded their head, though Rosalie and Jasper eyed the food suspiciously. Not that I blame them, of course, they had only just met us and the meal could be anything as far as they knew.

I gestured for the group to follow me into the dining room, which I had added after returning home the night before. The long table could fit up to 25 - 30 people at once. A large crystal chandelier hung above it and the walls were a glittery grey with black wooden floorboards.

"Please, take your seats whilst I bring you the food," I said with a smile. Everyone was already seated, and once the Cullens entered the conversation died down instantly, and the atmosphere became intense between the vampires and the pack. I cleared my throat to gain their attention and I allowed my eyes to glow, the pack froze slightly and my stern expression and they lowered their head in submission, except Sam who smiled.

"Where's Luna?" I asked with a frown as I noticed she wasn't amongst them.

"She went upstairs to change her shoes, they were hurting her" Pansy replied.

"I'll be right back" I walked out of the room and collected the trays of the special meals I had ordered for the Cullens. When I re-entered the room, it was silent and intense. I sighed in slight frustration and placed the food in front of the Cullens, whose attention was drawn to the unknown meals.

"I promise, they are safe and fully edible"

"Excuse us for being suspicious" Rosalie scoffed sarcastically, earning many glares from her family and threatening growls from the pack, for their sign of disrespect. Instead, I raised an eyebrow and my lips twitched in amusement.

"I like you" Her head snapped up in surprise, as do the others.

"What?"

"I like you. You are cautious and not easily strayed, in my eyes, that's a respectable trait to have. I completely understand where you're coming from, but it would be rather silly of me to harm you in a room full of witnesses, would it not?" She remained silent for a few moments, studying me for any sign of being untruthful.

"I guess you're right" she mumbled as she picked up what looked like a stake. She looked up at me with a raised eyebrow, making me shrug with a grin.

"Sorry I'm late, I had a fashion mishap" Luna announced with her usual light and cheery tone. I watched from the corner of my eye as Edward tensed as she strolls into the room, his eyes widened as he scans her attire. She wore a beautiful flowing yellow dress with a low-cut neckline and yellow heels to match.

"It's alright Little Moon, there's a spot for you next to Edward" I replied with a knowing grin, making her wink at me playfully before skipping off to take her seat. I take my seat, which happens to be at the head of the table and I couldn't stop the smile on my face at everyone sitting together, somewhat peacefully.

"Dig in" and so they did. The meal was filled with flowing conversation, only a few minor arguments here and there, usually between Edward and Jacob but that was put a stop to rather quickly by Sam and Carlisle. The Cullens enjoyed their first actual meal, receiving many compliments and quite a few confused and awe-filled questions. Emmet had bonded quickly with Sirius, both being rather childish in personality whilst Carlisle, Edward and Jasper enjoyed the more intellectual conversation with Remus. Rosalie cooed over Teddy for the majority of the meal, but also spoke to Pansy, along with Alice about fashion.

"Thank you for the meal Hermione, it was delicious" Carlisle complimented as he dabbed some food from his mouth with the napkin.

"It was no problem at all, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Now, I think it's time to discuss what everyone is here for"
