《Together we howl》Chapter 7

It was currently 7 am and after another horrific nightmare, I found myself unable to sleep. So, as I did every morning, I decided to sit on the couch in the family room with a cup of coffee and a good old book to keep me entertained until Ginny woke. I had owled Harry with a list of people who were welcome to visit, I made sure to charm the letter to make sure anyone who wasn't on the list, wouldn't be able to read the letter. I sent a letter to Remus and Sirius, who I know were most likely stressed out about the lack of communication for the last few days. They had always been quite overprotective and it took a lot to convince them that we would be fine away from them and the others.
I glanced at the clock and I blinked in surprise, it was already 9 am and as far as I knew, the workers were arriving in two hours. I placed my book on the coffee table and headed into the kitchen where I washed up my mug and began cooking breakfast for Ginny and me, who I knew would be waking up any moment. Half an hour later, Ginny strolled into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes as she was still half asleep.
"Morning" She mumbled and took a seat at the kitchen island.
"Good morning, here's your coffee," I said softly and handed her a coffee before plating the breakfast.
"Thanks, how long do I have until they come?" She questions as I slide the plate over to her, she sends me a thankful smile before tucking into her pancakes with bacon and maple syrup.
"About an hour and a half, you've got enough time" I responded as I took a seat opposite her, tucking into my breakfast. We spent our time making small talk before I magically washed up the dishes and we both went upstairs to get ready for the day. I decided on some jean shorts and off the shoulder blue jumper, it was rather warm outside, compared to the usual cold that we were used to in Scotland. I tied my hair up into a high ponytail and applied some mascara and lipgloss to my lips before heading back downstairs. What I wasn't expecting, was to find a familiar blonde in our living room.
"Luna?" She immediately jumped from the couch and ran towards me with her arms open, pulling me into a tight embrace. It took me a few moments to snap out of my shock, a large smile appeared on my face and I wrapped my arms around her, squeezing her.

"Hello, Hermione, you have such a beautiful home" Her soft tone warmed my heart. We had gotten close just before the war started and bonded even more afterwards, she was a massive help during the war and had provided comfort when I had been betrayed by Ron.
"Thank you, little moon. What are you doing here?" I asked as I dragged her eagerly towards the couch. She let out a soft giggle, her features are as angelic as they were when I last saw her, even more so because of how much she has matured, physically, mentally and emotionally.
"Well, Harrykins had sent me an owl with your address and... Neville and I broke up" her face fell, causing my heart to clench. Whenever you saw Luna, she would always have a smile on her face and could say anything to lighten the moon in depressing situations. So, to see her so down broke my heart in two.
"I'm so sorry Luna, I know how much you cared about him" I responded softly, grabbing onto her hands and giving them a comforting squeeze. Our attention was drawn to the footsteps that were heard coming down the stairs, the redhead coming into view as she hummed happily. She stopped when she noticed Luna, who still had a sad frown on her face.
"Luna?" Ginny approached immediately and sat on her other side. She looked in my direction with a questionable frown, I shook my head slightly and turned towards Luna, whose eyes were focusing on the coffee table.
"What's wrong?"
"Neville and I broke up?" She whispered, causing Ginny to gasp slightly and wrap an arm around Luna's shoulder, giving her a side hug.
"Why?" I would've given Ginny a disapproving look for questioning her, but I was curious as to the reasoning and I knew Luna never took offence to Ginny's pushiness.
"It was a mutual decision, he was busy with teaching and I felt this longing... I can't describe it" She sighed and shook her head. I frown in concern and confusion, looking over to Ginny who held the same expression.
"Longing?"
"I needed to come here, something was telling me that I needed to be here" my eyebrows shot up in surprise. Luna had always been in touch with her magic and we learnt a long time ago to trust her words and feelings. She had some seer abilities, she may not be able to make prophecies and predict the future but she guides us in the right decision.

"If that's the case, you're more than welcome to stay here. It would be great to have you here" Ginny responded with a large smile, Luna immediately perked up and glanced at me with hopeful eyes. I let out a giggle and nodded my head, she let out a squeal and brought us both into a bone-crushing hug. Our laughter ran through the house until the doorbell rang, and our heads snapped towards the door.
"Ah, the wolves have arrived," Luna said in a soft tone, a smile on her face as our eyes widened. Ginny and I jumped from our couch and walked towards the door, Luna following close behind. I swung the door open, revealing a shocked looking Sam, along with Jared and Paul.
"Look who it is" I teased as I leaned against the doorway. Sam's eyes raked over my figure, his eyes darkened drastically.
"What are you three doing here?" Ginny questioned from beside me, snapping the boys out of their shock.
"We were told you needed some help with a few things" Jared responded with a smile.
"Wow, small world. Come on in" I moved to the side, allowing them inside but the stopped when the noticed the unfamiliar girl.
"Oh, boys, this is Luna Lovegood. Luna, this is Sam, Jared and Paul"
"Nice to meet you" the Quileute boys greeted in unison. Luna tilted her head with a smile, she let out a hum and walked towards them.
"Interesting," She said softly as she began to walk around them, they shifted from one foot to the other nervously. Ginny and I watched in amusement as Luna continued to investigate them thoroughly.
"Now now Luna, leave the poor boys alone" I teased, causing Luna to smirk and shrug her shoulders before walking to stand beside Ginny and me. We watched in entertainment as the muscular shapeshifters, stood before us awkwardly.
"So, what did you want us to look at?" Jared questioned, breaking the awkward silence.
"They need some ideas for the entrance hall and garden" Luna answered, the boys looked quite shocked but nodded in understanding. They glanced around the entrance hall with curious expressions, I could see the many possibilities and ideas with a simple glance.
"We could make this a relaxing area, some couches maybe" Paul suggested with a tilt of the head.
"Isn't that what the family room is for?" Ginny asked him. His eyes lit up and a smirk formed on his face.
"Yes beautiful, but there is no harm in adding some extra comfort" Ginny's cheeks immediately redden, and his smirk widened at her reaction. Luna and I exchange amused looks before giggling, Ginny instantly sent us a half-hearted glare.
"I think it's a great idea, you know how crazy our parties get and we need as much seating as we possibly can" I hummed in agreement to Luna's words. It's true, our parties could get pretty wild, especially when the Weasley boys were involved.
"Okay, Seating it is" I agreed with a smile before I gestured for them to follow us into the large garden. Their eyes widened in awe at the sight of the pool.
"You have a pool, do you not realise how cold it gets here?" Paul questioned without taking his eyes off the landscape.
"We, uh, don't get cold easily" Ginny responded with a shrug, I rolled my eyes as I noticed the boy's confused expressions. Ginny wasn't one for subtlety and it was clear that she planted some ideas in their heads.
"I think a good old firepit would look great, some comfortable seating around it" Sam stated, causing my head to snap in his direction. It was the first he has spoken since arriving, I had nearly forgotten how my body reacts whenever I hear his deep voice. He looked down at me with a smile, his eyes staring into me intensely which made me look away shyly.
"How about some lunch, I'm sure you boys are hungry?" Luna announced with a clap of her hands. The wolves brightened and nodded their heads eagerly, causing me to laugh and shake my head in amusement as I followed them back inside. They took a seat around the kitchen island as I pulled out some 'party food' from the freezer. It consists of sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, meat tortillas, barbecue chicken wings, pita bread and hummus. I put them on different platters and place them along the counter, their eyes lit up at the wide selection of food and they immediately dug in.
"Hungry dogs"

[Archive] Legend of the Nameless Hero
A WhiteSamurai original Web Novel There are always the mysterious tales of heroes, those who fight against the Demons, who fight for justice and those who head mighty quests against tyranny. Heroes that are born to destiny, Heroes that are forged through tragedy, and Heroes that are brought to the world in times of great peril and strife. Not all true Heroes are wanted or beloved, but all life understands, that throughout all time and space, for those who truly stand as Heroes, they never need to be called one. The sands of time are the only true judge for those who journey upon the true path, the only one they will ever need. This is the tale, no, the Legend, the Legend of the one who throughout all time, would forever be, the First Hero. This is Their story, a story of true hardship, of a sorrow greater than any other that would stand as a symbol of inspiration no matter the test of time. A tale of darkness, a true curse, an impending evil hidden beyond the horizons that threatened the very future of existence. This is the tale, of one of the few great figures, who, in the face of true evil, continued to stand. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Disclaimer: _______________________________________________________________ . . . All Chapters are subject to sudden revision, scrapping, or complete removal from the canonical storyline. The author of "Legend of the Nameless Hero" uses RoyalRoad as a method of experimentation with genre's and writing styles for Fantasy-style works for the sake of eventual publication. The end result isn't to release perfect chapters on RoyalRoadl, but eventually develop the story as intended using the best material to produce the highest quality work. The best mentality when reading works from WhiteSamurai is to see it as the ability to read and review pre-release transcripts or "Rough Copies" before publication. Viewer discretion and maturity are both requested and required. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :About: _______________________________________________________________ . . . This story follows direct character point of views along with an intentional third person narrative to explain to the readers what the characters won't. (I don't use my characters to go give extensive explanations for every last thing like EVERYTHING DOES) This tale shall encompass the life of the Hero from the moment she is summoned into the Kingdom of Kremor, to the Legendary Final Clash. This isn't your run of the mill hack and slash raise an army and conquer, I don't follow that bandwagon. Real life holds politics, intrigue, economics, structure, populations, civil opinions, history, psychology, heart, suffering, wonder, advancement, curiosity, ambition, and so many more things that would lead to me hitting some character limit. I refuse to take the same route that others use by simply ignoring these factors, my worlds, my stories, are as real as they get. There's no plot armor here, if someone screws up, they've screwed up and there's no magical sword in a well for them. I write in 'Seasons' not 'Books' as many often do, these are generally, not always, hundreds of chapters long, though as I have yet to finish a season, the average length is in the air. I go by an ideal of what I call 'Universal Lore' which includes the policy that things that exist within the story don't follow the rule where the Protagonist needs to be there so that it will happen. There will be some things that will happen, and the hero, and sometimes the reader, won't know happened until they enter a place, or news gets to them. A person needs to be in the right place at the right time, I hate plot holes and meta characters above all else... For my works, comments are practically demanded as reactions, thoughts, and various viewpoints are like sweet fuel to my writing spirit. Reviews are highly accepted and appreciated, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE EDUCATED AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED. Those that throw down a low rating ARE HIGHLY REQUESTED to extensively detail and explain their viewpoints on the work. They should also be willing to come back to the work at a later date if messaged by the Author, Me, due to issues they mentioned being taken care of. I'm never against scrapping a chapter or rewriting several paragraphs if there are character or story discrepancies. I want the highest quality work possible, and every comment, every review, are tools for me to use to further that goal. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Status: (Ongoing)
