《Living With The Asshole》Chapter 40

"Oh my god! You guys kissed!Trent I'm so happy for you both!" I squealed into the phone, unable to contain my joy.
I was on the phone with Trent, asking him about his date with Amanda.
He laughed."Calm down, Ashley."
I grinned."Sorry, I'm just really glad this worked out between you and Amanda . She's a great girl, Trent. I promise."
"I know," he replied and I knew he was smiling.
"So when's your next date?"
"Ashley, it's not even been 24 hours yet . Isn't she going to think I'm desperate or whatever?"
"No, you idiot. Have you called her today?"
"Um,no?"
"Call her today, alright?"
"But-"
"Oh for the love of God, Trent-"
"Okay, okay.I will. Hey,listen...Has she told you anything yet?"
"About last night?"
"Yeah."
"No, I haven't spoken to her yet. Actually, I haven't seen her at all this morning."
"Okay. Listen, I've gotta go . I'll talk to you later."
"Bye Trenty."
He hung up. How he hated thst nickname.I snickered to myself.
With a sigh I got up and started cleaning my room. It was my last day at the Woods'.
Half an hour later, I was still in my room, collecting mostly half empty bottles of water from around my room.
God, there were hundreds of those in here.
"So, everything done?"a voice said suddenly causing me to startle and lose hold of the bottles of water in my hand.
I smiled sheepishly at Joanna, bending down to pick them up."Yeah, I'm just..." I gestured to the bottles.
"Wow," Joanna said as she walked toward me and saw the box full of empty water bottles.
I didn't even know there were so many of those. There was just one on the bedside table and one on the desk and...
"Honey, don't worry about all this. I'll take care of it," Joanna offered kindly, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"It's gonna take you years to get all these bottles out of here," I joked, tossing the bottles in my hand into the box.
She laughed."Now that is true."
"No, but really it's fine. I'm almost done anyway," I said, feeling proud of myself.
I had finished packing an hour ago. I'd started packing a few days back so I didn't really have much left to do. All my clothes, books and stuff were already packed. Only a few things that I would need till tomorrow were out.
I was just cleaning around, making sure Joanna didn't have to do much when I left tomorrow.
"What are my favorite girls doin-Whoa.This room looks really different,"Aaron looked around.
Of course it did. All of my stuff was now neatly packed inside the gigantic suitcase that I'd borrowed from Amanda.
Somehow I had ended up with more stuff than I had when I first came here. So only half of my things had fit in my own suitcase, which wasn't all that big.
"Well, things definitely are going to be different around here now," Joanna said, smiling sadly at him.
"Hey, don't worry you guys. I'll be over every other day!" I tried to cheer them up.
"You better be," Aaron grumbled, pulling me to his chest.
I smiled, hugging him. I saw Joanna shake her head from the corner of my eye."I'll leave you two to it. Ashley, are there any more bottles left?"
I pulled myself away from Aaron."No, I think that's it," I replied, scanning the room with my eyes.
Aaron gave me a questioning look after seeing the bottles."What are you, a mermaid?"
"What? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever," I gave him a weird look.
"Hey!Of coure it does," he protested and went on to explain it to me.
With a chuckle, Joanna picked up the box with the bottles and left the room.

"So anyway, you plan on scrubbing this room clean or you wanna have some fun?"
"Scrubbing sounds good to me," I said, nodding seriously.
"Oh, come on," he rolled his eyes, pulling me out of the room.
I giggled as he slung his arm around my shoulder. Giggled. Oh my God, what had this boy done to me?
"So what do you wanna do?" I asked as we walked downstairs.
"It's your last day, you get to pick."
"I really don't know. I'm rather depressed."
"So am I but we can't waste my last day living with my beautiful girlfriend like this can we?"
I blushed. Why did he say things like that?
"So what do you say we go grab some lunch with everyone and then come home and chill, watch movies, build forts, paint our nails..."
"Oh shut up," I chuckled, elbowing him in the ribs."Lunch sounds great."
"Hey guys," Amanda bounced down the stairs with a smile on her lips.
"Someone looks happy," Aaron stated, a hint of a smile on his own face.
"What? I'm not..." she said, trying to hide the smile on her lips.
I grinned."So how was your date last night?"
"My what? Oh that.Yeah, it was alright," she replied, trying to sound non chalant but I could see right through that facade.
"I'll be right back. Just gotta make reservations,'kay babe?" Aaron said kissing me on the lips.
Oh sweet God. I stared dizzily as he walked away from me.
"And you're going to tell me the truth, alright young lady?" Aaron said narrowing his eyes at Amanda before leaving the two of us alone.
Amanda laughed. She really was cheerful today.
"Now tell me all about that date."

"It's just lunch! Do I have to change?" I whined, looking down at the shorts and oversized t-shirt I was wearing.
Now normally this wouldn't even have been a conversation. But I was feeling super lazy and tired today.
Who even cared what I was wearing anyway? It was just my friends and my boyfriend..
"I wouldn't care if you came wearing your pajamas."
"But you know, you kinda need to change."
I grunted in response.
"Ashley, get your cute ass off that bed right now and change or I'll get Amanda in here."
Oh no. Not Amanda. She could be very intimidating when she wanted to be. Nobody wanted to be around scary Amanda.
"But Aaron..."
"Aman-" he began loudly but I jumped up from the bed,"Alright, alright!"
He smirked in satisfaction.
"You're the worst boyfriend ever!"
He laughed, pretending to wipe a tear from his eye."You do crack me up, Ashy. Now hurry up, we're leaving in fifteen minutes."
Jerk.
Fifteen minutes later I was changed into what seemed like a "presentable" outfit to Amanda.
Yes, that lovely brother of hers had brought her in after five minutes of hearing me complain about having no clothes. He was such a meanie.
"Right, we're good to go," Amanda said, after putting some lipstick on her lips.
I sighed in response and shot myself one last look before following her to the car.
"Hello beautiful lady," Aaron said, planting a kiss on my cheek.
"Hey there Shrek,"bhe said to his sister.
She shot him the finger before getting into the car.
I laughed before getting into the car behind Aaron.
"Cole texted me. He just left with Elena," I told the siblings as we drove off.
"Yeah and Trent left like ten minutes ago.", Amanda piped in, looking up from her phone.
I nodded and glanced at the gorgeous boy sitting beside me. He gave me a heartwarming smile.
I noticed the way my heart went crazy when he placed my hand in his, gazing at me with that beautiful smile of his.
I was utterly in love with that smile.
I was utterly in love with him.
