I woke up to the beeping sound of a heart monitor. My wrists were in pain, what happened to me and why can't I remember anything.
A man came walking into my room so I backed up against the headboard. This isn't my room. The man towered over me before frowning slightly.
His eyes were green and he was handsome and he has a lot of tattoos. He must be a figment of my imagination. That's it! I'm dreaming, that's why I'm not home.
"Sir, where am I?" I asked the man in front of me and he smiled at me.
"You're home, baby girl." He said and I frowned. This isn't my house. Did mom and dad become rich overnight? Did we move to a different house.
"But this isn't my home." I said and the man sighed.
"Rest, Nevaeh." He said and I backed away from him once more.
"How do you know my name?" I asked him and he smiled gracefully.
"How rude of me." He said and I frowned. "My name is-
"Hey! I see the patient is awake." A man said while stumbling into the room. He stood upright before smiling at me.
"Hi Nevaeh." He said excitedly. He also has tattoos and his hair was brushed back with not one strand out of place. Who are these people?
"Who are you?" I asked and they smiled at me.
"Great it worked." The second man said happily.
"I'm Stone." The one with the green eyes said blankly.
"I'm Striker." The other one said so I lifted my hand at them in a greeting manner.
A lady came walking inside so I frowned at her. Another one of them?
"Hi, I'm Kira." She said kindly so I briefly smiled at her.

"Why am I here? Why aren't I waking up?" I asked in confusion.
"You're not dreaming sweetheart." Kira told me.
"I really need my insulin shot. That's why I'm imagining things again." I told them.
"Done." Stone said so I relaxed a bit.
"My parents must be looking for me. I should go home then." I announced.
"As far as I'm concerned your parents doesn't live in Spain." Striker said and my eyes widened.
"You kidnapped me?" I asked and they laughed at me.
"No sweety we just erased your memory of the past year." They said and I was frozen for a few seconds. Who would do such a thing.
"I'm a minor." I said and they smiled.
"You're a nineteen year old girl and you have a baby. Doesn't seem that minor to me." Striker said and I frowned.
"Are you dumb?" Stone asked him in anger. "He's lying sweetheart. You don't have any children, you're just a regular nineteen year old girl in college." He told me.
"When did I even turn nineteen?" I asked and the room went quiet. "Why would you do this to me?" I cried out loud.
"It was part of the job, it's nothing personal, Heaven." Stone said in a slow and gentle tone.
"It's kinda personal because you erased my memory!" I stated the obvious.
"Keep her for one more day. After that kick her out." Stone told Striker and Kira. "My daughter is waiting for me." He told them before leaving the room.
"Why did you erase my memory?" I asked curiously.
"Because you knew our secret." Striker said and Kira hit him on the arm.
"What secret?" I asked right before Kira and Striker left the room.

Dreamshards
As the 21st century creeps past its midpoint, Earth’s galactic neighbors make their presence known and send us a mysterious game. Those in power ponder how first contact will change the political landscape, game companies plan and plot how best to take advantage of their new competitor, but for one jaded game designer and tester, this may be the opportunity of a lifetime. This is my first publicly posted fiction, reviews and suggestions are welcome. New chapters come as I finish them, about once every 3 weeks at the moment. Contents: sci-fi, fantasy, full-dive VRMMO, progression, light elements of litrpg and cultivation
8 227Pioneer from the Galactic Rim
Year 202x, Earth discovered that they were not alone in the Universe. The governments were made known that Earth, was actually located in the backwaters of the Galaxy and even further from the center of the Universe. Located far away from where many of the other lifeforms were born and interacted. In fact they were so far away that the types of energy Earth is able to utilize, is really limited compared to those from the center of the Universe. It was a wonder, that the people of Earth could even develop to what they are even now. The following year, Earth has decided to join the galactic alliance. A decade later, the regular people of Earth could finally start entering the Universe. Albeit in a different form, from what many may expect. By me, Lostcattears I hope to write something that many will enjoy, and make it worth their time reading. If possible support me on Patreon, only if you think the story is worth it. I am a new amateur author, so go into this as if one is reading a rough draft.
8 365The Supernormal
In a world where fantasy has become everyday, one man stands against absurdity. The local Tower stomps through the streets. Any hedge could contain a witch. Walls regularly crumble, though none more often than the fourth. In the magical city of Blackpool, all ridiculousness is possible, and it takes everything for Jack Of All Trades to survive. Badly, at that. Perpetually late with his rent, he'll take up arms for any paying customer in order to fulfill his quest. His obstacles include polka-loving ghosts, card-game playing vampires, and the most vicious monsters of all: copyright lawyers. When he's joined by an arrogant magus and an insecure vampire, his life gets even more complicated, but no matter what kind of infuriating choose-your-own-adventure he finds himself on, one constant remains—his rent is due at the end of the month. On second thoughts, maybe he should stay in bed. The Supernormal isn't your average web-novel. It's an urban fantasy parody that saunters through a world full of the absurd, delighting in poking fun at popular media, widely-accepted ideas, and often itself. Story arcs only loosely connect through the characters, who are themselves slowly fleshed out as the story continues. Think of Discworld meets The Dresden Files meets Gintama. This novel won't be for everyone, but if it is for you, you're in for a hell of a ride.
