"take this into the fucking dressing room and try them on." swagger demanded, handing me a pile of clothing. "come on." he has been trying to get me to try on outfits for the past ten minutes but i have been denying he request every time.
"fine," i scoff and trudge into the fitting room. and it was like... i know he said to wear something comfortable, but i still wanted to look cute.
walking out of the dressing room for the thousand hundredth time, eric finally nodded, taking in the outfit i wore. it was a simple black mesh top top that was cropped and light green jeans that were lightly ripped in certain areas. "i love it for some reason." he chuckled. "and your white fila's would go great with that."
"wow, you're a fashionista, swags."
-
when i returned home, i had three total hours left. cam has texted me multiple times, asking if i was still on for tonight. which, at this point i was ecstatic to go on this date, but i don't think it was for the right reason. i was totally feeling myself with my outfit and my hair. "is that too tight, babe?" my mother asked as she dreaded my hair, making it longer.
"it's perfect," i respond as i wince in pain.
as i curl my eyelashes, i heard the light honk from outside of my house. he was here. HE WAS ACTUALLY HERE.
i race around my room trying to find my purse and all the necessities for the insides. "bye mother, bye father!" they both nod to me as i yank open the front door, coming face to face with cam.
"hey," he sighed, checking me out with a smile spreading across his face. "you look beautiful, audrey." my heart practically melted as he told me. looking over him, he had his normal black ripped jeans and a plain white sleeved shirt that buttoned at the top a little.

"thanks," i whisper out, my smile not fading. "and you look hot." he chuckled and nodded, swinging his keys around his fingers. "you ready to go?" i question, feeling like an idiot straight after.
"yeah, let's head out." i follow straight behind him as he walks over to his tesla. he swung open my door and closed it after i was locked in. "plug in your phone, pick our music," he suggests and hands me the aux cord. i played some yung gravy.
"so, where are we going?" he turned to me and shrugged with a smug smirk. "ahh, a surprise?" he shrugged again, staring out to the open road as he let his tesla drive for him. damn, why is it when people are concentrated that they are so hot. he was still looking to the road with focus even though he really wasn't obligated to.
"i'm glad you agreed to continue our date." laughing lightly, i shake my head and look down to my hands as they mess with my shoe laces. "what had you so doubtful?"
"i think you were right. i like you and you make me nervous. its just... i don't want to mess up. i don't want to do something weird and have your emotions change." shuddering, i roll up my window. he stuttered over his words for a minute, trying to comprehend what i just said.
"i've known you for like... 4 years and i'm sure i've seen you at your worst. after all, i was the one who took you to the airport after you and matt broke up." pausing for a quick second of breath, he placed his hand on the wheel. "shit, audrey, i was balling over you not understanding my feelings for you a couple weeks ago," he chuckled. i guess he was right. "so you think one little thing on a date can just turn me off?" nodding my head, i bit my lip as the redness began to spread across my cheeks.

"i guess it is a little silly," i confess. "i'm just like that. i get too anxious and don't think of the good in things." cam placed his hand on my thigh and shook his head. "so, you liked me when i was with matt, huh?" watching as his lips curved up, my hands finally stopped messing with the strings on my shoes.
"i'm in disbelief on how long it went on where you or matt never found out. like, it was so fucking clear-cut."
"you've said it yourself, i'm just clueless." after i finished my sentence, me neither cam said anything afterward. it felt a little awkward, but i think it was just because i was scared he wouldn't like my music. "goldilocks?" my voice was barely a whisper as we pulled into the parking lot.
"well, i thought since we both aren't dressed too comfortable..." he trailed off. i followed behind him as we walked into the building. "two." the hostess nods and grabs two menus.
dinner has gone well so far. we've only really made small talk that really wasn''t worth remembering. "so, you and eric, aye?" i pick at my salad and nodded. "what did you need him for?" lifting my shoulders and lowering them, i didn't pick my eyes up from my greens.
"my outfit, some general advice." cam hummed and looked away with a little glimmer in my his eyes. "i haven't been on a date in a long time. well, not an official one at least."
"well i'm glad i'm your first one in a long time." i know it wasn't good to feel so content with the fact that he didn't want to be with eden anymore, but it just felt so right. speaking of, i wonder what even flamed that spark back when we were on our camping trip. "so, i know this probably isn't the best place to be asking this, but what ever happened to you and eden?" cameron looked up from his food and furrowed his eyebrows.
"umm," he hummed. "correct me if i'm wrong, but eden did have crush on me, right?" i nod in response. "i think down at the beach i was just in such distraught that you disliked me that i had to lean on someone i knew liked me. and eden happened to be that girl."
"oh."

{The Dragon Within} (Completed)
Meeting his fate at the hands of seven great heroes, the wicked drake now stands in Death's hall. Met with the Grim Reaper itself. Defeated and its pride broken, the drake doesn’t beg or grovel, it simply awaits judgement. It waits for the God of the afterlife to send it on its way, to either the heights of bliss and peace or where it knew it would be sent. The depths of agony and torture, the halls of Tartarus, the father of monsters. Grim looked up from its oaken desk and down at the creature that would have otherwise, if grown wiser and older, matched the reaper itself in power. Its faceless guise, hidden by a black hood and whirling shadows, it briefly stared at the drake. “You are unfit for the sky yet also too fit for the abyss,” Grim spoke, its voice a cracking whisper. “Your time came too soon, the actions you have taken will lead your world to ruin…Be reborn, pitiful serpent. Yet remember what you have done, see what your actions have made that realm into. Let me show you, how your greed and gluttony have warped such a wonderful place and time.” Grim raised its black-feathered pen towards the beast “Be reborn, as the weak pitiful creature you should have been born as. Take this both as a punishment and…a learning experience. For failure, can be the best teacher.” The drake took a step back, hoping to escape this cruel fate. Yet none escaped Death, less so its embodiment. Screaming shadows engulfed his form, ripping away at his body and shape. Fangs of darkness sinking deep into his draconic flesh, warping it, changing him into something else… Opening his eyes, the wicked drake felt none of its power, none of its magic and none of its might. As it stood at the edge of a cliff, looking down upon a ruined valley of rot and miasma. It glanced down at itself, seeing none of its sturdy scales or sharp claws. The drake had been reborn... As a Human. Will also be posting on CreativeNovels found here; CrN Where chapters will be posted earlier than RRL.

The Creature from the Dark (HIATUS)
What happens when the protagonist of a story isn't even remotely human? This story is about a fairly intelligent but ignorant creature and the chaos brought into its simple life by the first encounter with humans it has ever had. I intend to take it fairly slow. I hope you enjoy it. :)
